I've been happily using the AT 440MLA for the past several years, and with replacement styli no longer available, I decided to upgrade to this new Microline series (specifically the VM540ML). Absolutely worth the upgrade - excellent sound stage, good bass detail, and amazing channel separation/clarity. The only issues I have are with the cartridge requiring the screws to be installed upside down (a minor inconvenience) and removing the stylus to mount the cartridge was somewhat difficult (a tight fit for removal and reattaching). Overall, a worthwhile upgrade and I will continue to use the AT Microline series as long as they offer it.

The Cartridge was easy to install and adjust. I used a tracking force gauge. The VM540L has a small flathead screwdriver and a brush. The sound was very engaging as I immediately heard the separation and clean highs and deep bass and improvement over my original Rega MM carbon cartridge

AT quality and ease of set up is always top notch. The audio quality and detail step up from my AT-95 was well worth the cost. Probably the best bang for buck in the MM style cartridges.
