    Do not buy this lock if you intend to use the auto unlock feature. It is extremely glitchy. Tech support claims it is not the lock, but a feature issue and offers no solution.

    Firstly, I'm biased. I LOVE the concept of smart things because it makes our lives easier. The August lock working with HomeKit is awesome; I'm able to set automations (which still prompts whether you would like to run it or not), can check status of lock, can open lock with phone not voice. What I find to be most useful is auto-lock and auto-unlock; with door sense installed, the lock 'knows' when your door is closed or not so it can lock (or not lock) depending on the door status.

    Not a fan only worked when it wanted to. Was on the phone with support fore 3 hours. Still could not keep it connected. It does look nice but I went with the nest yell. And it’s been flawless
