The mounting plate for this device is very flimsy and not sturdy it could easily be snatched off. The locking mechanism is near impossible to lock due to its small size. The device malfunctioned before the warranty period and looses connection to the wifi constantly. The manufacture has yet to be able to get the device to work or offer a replacement. Poor customer service for such a pricey item.

The August camera doorbell was discontinued and refunded from the manufacturer due to it’s limitations and problems, but they did not notify us. It is nothing but trouble. It takes sometime a full minute to connect to live view when the doorbell rings if you are lucky. It also goes through the rechargeable battery often if you have allot of movement like myself. They actually sent me an additional battery.
