After using the old mechanical light timers for years, I decided it was time to check out automated home lighting systems. I ran to the local Best Buy to ask a few questions. I was told that WEMO was one of the more popular items. I purchased the starter kit that contained the main control unit a 2 LED light bulbs that can be controlled. The setup was fairly straight forward, but I do have issues every once in awhile when my light bulbs are not recognized. I have experimented with moving the base unit closer to a central location between the light bulbs, but there doesn't seem to be an improvement. When all the connections are working, the system is great! I like the random option to make it look like you are home when you are away. I also like the control settings based upon sunset and sunrise. Finally, I like the fact that you can control your lights (and other items) remotely with a smart phone.

I bought this product thinking it was going to be useful but I never expected such a great lighting and customization. I can set timers and set the lights to go to sleep in how ever long you need it, they start to dim and then click they are off, this helps put me to sleep. LOVE THIS KIT.

I love this set! It was a great purchase. I am a bit of a techy, but I felt like it was pretty easy to set up, even if you aren't tech savvy. It didn't take long to setup either. I love the fact that I can change the color temperature and can dim the lights when I just want a little bit of light or I can have it on full brightness. The sleep feature is also a cool bonus. Would definitely recommend. I have a couple WeMo plugs as well and love those. The bulbs fit in seamlessly with my other WeMo items. Love it!!

This item is awesome I would've given it 5 stars except for the fact that the additional bulbs that you can add do not have the same ability as the ones that come with the starter kit. Amazon Echo recognizes the starter kit but not the add on bulbs.

I purchased these because of recommendations. I installed these in my kitchen and dinner light fixtures. They work good as a bulb. I purchased to use with phone app and to control them with Amazon Echo "Alexa". I struggled getting the app to work and synchronize on Apple phone. So I tried with Android OS phone and the app work flawlessly. They I spent about 2 hours trying to get them to work with Amazon Echo and finally called tech service.The assistance I received was awesome. But these DO NOT work with amazon Echo. So after the apple WEMO app was very buggy and laggy and found out cant control them with the echo I returned them the very next day. But dont be discouraged they work great as a bulb and android version app.

I bought this to work with my Amazon Echo and could not get it to pair correctly. Probably a fault of the Echo as well but still wasnt an overall satisfying purchase. The lights seperately work great though.

Plug it in, turn on the light, and install the app, and POOF! You never have to get up from the couch again!

We use these lights daily to turn lights on and off at various times. We also used them when we were away for a week on vacation. It was easy to turn the lights on and off from our vacation area or while we were traveling. We were able to maintain our home lighting as if we were home moving about the house.

This was easy to set up and has been reliable, good purchase

It is one of those things that once you have set it up, will work fantastic. So far about a month in use, and no problems at all. The only thing is that when I tried to set it up, it took a while for the link (the hub that actually connects to your WiFi) to recognize one of the bulbs, but customer service was very helpful in solving the issue.

Great light works perfect the app is so easy to use

This operates on zigbee ha protocol. Sometimes it gets hung up and you have to reset the bulbs by turning them on off in a sequence. The color tuning is a gimmic i never change it from 2700k. Wemo needs to allow color tuning to be automated for circadian rythym. Similar to apples night shift feature.

This product is for you if you'd like to be able to turn your lights on/off, change the brightness levels and colors all on your smartphone. Only thing, make sure you follow the setup instructions.

This allows me to control the lights at my house from my cellphone from just about anywhere as long as I have internet connectivity I can control the lights.

Got this to extend my other Wemo devices. Works perfectly with the app, can't get get it to communicate with my Echo yet, but working on it.

While I loved the price and the way they looked in the few days I had these, there were just too many technical problems for me to justify keeping them. First, the app is absolutely horrible. Horrendously slow and difficult, and there's not many good alternatives in the appstore. Ultimately the thing that broke me was that the lightbulbs can't fade. If you set them to fade down with an alarm, they just shut off at that time. Also, the support in IFTTT and other connecting apps is very poor. I ended up returning them for Hue color bulbs. I might revisit wemo with their niche home products like the humidifier, but I'm never touching the lights again.

Works ok. Range to router is great but range of device to bulbs is only fair. Will not transmit thru mirrors or file. Place device close to outside wall to work porch light. Bulb base must be clear of metal. But overall for price it is great.

These work very well and it was a total breeze to install.

Now I have been a memo outlet plug / switch, etc for a long time now. But if your buying this to use voice commands through Amazon Echo. When you do a device search it won't show up. If your just going to go through your phones WEMO then its perfect for you. I recommend spending the extra $10 and get the Philips hue White LED Starter Kit if you just want white lights and to use voice controls through Amazon Echo
