It’s OK for two-ways, but the voice output will depend on the different device.
For DVI to HDMI, the sound output will depend on the graphics card on the main board of the computer whether it supports the sound transition through TDMS.

Cable made my display unclear. Replaced cable with another higher price cable and the problem went away. Sometimes in life you get what you pay for!

The 42" TV has an HDMI connection only. Using this DVI to HDMI adapter I was able to place a computer workstation in the family room and now other people can share on the large screen, Neat, simple and inexpensive - 5 stars!
