I set up my bond for the a ceiling fan/light and a gas fireplace. I had a little difficulty, so I contacted customer service. They were very responsive, knowledgeable and honest. I was able to get the devices operational and easily connected it to Google so I could control them with my voice. I put a video together showing the fan/light being controlled by my voice. Both of my devices are not supported by bond. What that means - bond uses the signal, but they have not been certified for those products. Bond told me that and will email me when the products are. Both devices have random on/off by themselves. This should stop when certified. I disconnected the fireplace from bond and left the light connected. In defense of bond, they are working with aftermarket products that bond does not control. Bond has done a good job connecting to them. Bond is honest and working to get more products certified.

Didn’t realize that as of right now you can only control fireplaces and ceiling fans. I had high hopes for what this product was going to do for me. I haven’t paired it to my ceiling fan yet, but have done one electric fireplace. I had a heck of a time getting the device to recognize the remote until I switched it from auto to IR. it only will turn my fireplace on and off with Alexa which is irritating because that only turns on the “fire” aesthetic and not the actual heat function. I can program the high, low, etc. but it doesn’t actually support those functions with Alexa as of yet. I tricked the app by programming a “new” device but in reality I just programmed the high heat button as an on button then grouped these two in my Alexa app so she would turn on both. It’s not always reliable however. I’m anxious to see when new updates and functions will be released. I have a remote controlled AC I’d like to control with Alexa in the summer so fingers crossed Bond Has fheir stuff together by then.

This is about the size of an ashtray. It took a few times to set up, and must be in the neighborhood or have an obscured line of sight to the fans you want to control. Works perfectly once it figures out your fan. We have an open floor plan, and a Google outfitted home. It blended seamlessly.

The Bond is great when it works. I hooked up 3 ceiling fans and 1 gas fire place. One of the ceiling fans worked perfectly for a while but then Alexa started to turn the lights off and put the fan on when I only asked for the lights to he turned off.

This is great way to make your fan part of your smart home. Works great with Alexa and Google Home. Pairs also with Samsung Smarthings. Easy install, and setup. Just wish it could record my electric fireplace remote, which failed to accept. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

This item works well for ceiling fans. I have some connectivity and function issues when using Bond with smart bulbs. Hopefully someday it controls more appliances like it originally advertised.

I’m giving this three stars because the google home interface is pretty bad. I’ve had to delete the devices in google home several times and set it all back up. If you just use the Bond App to control everything instead of remotes it works perfect. Both on apple and android. They just need to work with Google a bit more on the integration side.

I love that I now have voice control through my Google Assistant. However a couple things to note. There was not a one for one match with my controller so basically I can only turn it on and off. It works for me though. Secondly I have a second fan two rooms over. It has a hard time controlling that fan due to walls and distance. Last sometimes Google assistant refuses to control it and I have to synch devices. Minor issues.

This device functions as advertised but if you are looking to connect this device through IFTTT know that it is not really plug-and-play but I was able to connect it in the end. To me, the only value in the Bond Fan control device is to connect with my smartphone home controller (Universal devices ISY994i) so I can automate certain functions like raising and lowering my sunscreens per a pre-determined schedule.

With a smart home, it's easy to turn lights on and off. We wondered about the ceiling fans and was recommended this product to control any remote control ceiling fan. Glad we were. It works great at controlling all our fans and the ease of adjusting lighting and speed, without the use of remote control. Love it.

This Bond device works well. Have had a couple issues with a newer fan...but it might be the fan and not the Bond...everywhere else it performs perfectly.

Effectively allows iPhone to replace remote. Not sure why that is helpful. I have yet to try IFTT to schedule on and off but that is my next quest.

Initially it was a little quirky to figure out but once setup it works great. I have needed to reboot it a few times, but now with firmware upgrade it seems stable.

I wish there were more step by step instructions for setup. Overall this product works and I love it.

Kids love it durable best remote easy controls and sleek fit

Wanted to control my shades without paying more than double for the name brand option.

It worked the first week, then all of the sudden when I turn on the ceiling fan in the living room - the one in the bedroom (which is an identical fan) would come on as well. So I re-programmed one of the ceiling fan remotes and started the pairing all over. Now it won’t connect to either fan! I’ve spent over an hour trying to pair only to no avail. I’ve done a complete reset as well. In addition, it won’t pair up with my electric fireplace when I tried to sync using the fireplace remote. Needless to say, I now have a worthless unit in hand..!! Don’t make the same mistake, and save yourself the hassle.

I’d love it if it works 100% of the time! I always have to unplug it and plug it back in to have it work with the ceiling fan and Alexa or Google

Very straightforward to set up. I have it controlling 3 different fans and fan lights on 2 different floors, and the Alexa integration was easy.

Difficult to set it up, not compatible with all ceiling fans.
