Barista at home!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded from a Temp-Dup, being parents of a couple small kids, that dont give you any room or any time, this machine has work great! It grinds, tamps and do pretty much everything, you focus only on what matter most, enjoy coffee. Negatives - Price and it takes a long time to get the water into temperature, if you are use to Nespresso and waiting 30 seconds, this may seem frustrating to you, having to wait 5 minutes to get water hot. Now the important question - Is the price fair for what you get? Absolutely.......NOT. It is a great machine, it works perfectly as it should for 2.7k grinder and everything looks pretty cool, the water tank is big. The touch thing seems fine but you ended up going to the same option over and over again.

Fantastic machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a Krups Barista Super Automatic that finally died with the Oracle Touch. I initially bought a DeLonghi Dinamica Plus, and while it made good coffee, milk-based drinks weren't hot enough, so back it went. Every super automatic I researched seemed to have that same issue, which is why I researched and ultimately purchased the Oracle Touch. It does involve more work than a super automatic machines, but the advantages of (1) much more control over milk temperatures, and (2) much easier to clean all of the moving parts won me over. I'm still learning and tweaking the various drinks, but it's been very enjoyable. Keep in mind that the machine is taller than most super autos, so be sure to measure your countertops for clearance. I ended up making my own coffee station to house the beast, because I had no where else it would fit.

Best Coffee maker I have ever owned.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Breville Oracle touch is the best coffee maker I have ever owned and I have tried everything from Mr. Coffee drip machines to high-end Keurig machine. I love the the Oracle freshly grinds every cup of coffee and has a completely customizable touch control that allows for a personalized brew for every member of the house. The frother is fantastic on this machine. I have tried the Rivo frother, the Keurig stand-alone frother and others but none worked as well as the Oracle. I get a thick foamy cappuccino every time. I love this machine.

First Impression: AMAZING!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, this machine was easy to set up. Simply remove the packaging, plug it in, and the display walks you through the rest. I used the recommended initial grind setting (30) and was able to pull a great shot on the first try. The display is exceptionally well-programmed to provide easily accessible tips and tricks for daily use. The milk frothing feature is nothing short of outstanding and produces a very silky-textured foam, similar to what one would expect from a coffeehouse. Frothing is easily customizable to temperature and texture and is as simple as pour your milk, set your desired parameters, if not defaulted and press the steam button. You can then simultaneously grind and pull a shot as the milk steams. Pros: *easy setup without necessarily opening the included user-manual *easy to use, very intuitive menus *cafe-quality results with minimal user input and time *easy to clean between brews—grinding and tamping is all self-contained and automated *duel boiler with high-end features, meaning it can simultaneously pull an espresso shot while steaming milk *milk texturing is far better than any home machine I’ve tested, particularly given the minimal user-input required *the auto-steam purge is a very nice feature *pulls a very nice shot with minimal user input *makes a very nice Americano, pulling a standard shot and then adding hot water from a separate spout (most super automatics make an Americano by over-pulling a shot) *two-year warranty *lots of minor details that enhance a high quality machine such as a small tray to hold all the included tools; a retractable caster to help move the machine; the ability to not only remove the generously sized water tank from the back of the machine but also to fill the tank from the top front Cons: *at face-value, the price point is not for everyone; there are certainly more affordable machines available. That being said, the high-end features on this machine rival machines from other brands that are far more expensive *so far I do not have anything negative to say about the machine. This is a great option for anyone interested in a super-automatic

Expensive, but worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been considering either buying a superautomatic or semi-automatic espresso machine. A one touch super automatic is very convenient, but the quality of the shot is not as good as you can get from a semi-automatic. However, the semi-automatic is more difficult to use because there are many factors in creating a good shot of espresso - grind size, grind amount, tamping pressure, etc... With the Oracle Touch, you don't have to worry about everything. The grind amount and the tamping pressure are always the same. The only variable you control is the grind size. Once you get this right, you just keep it at the same setting. It seems that with the Oracle Touch that Breville broke down the more difficult steps of a semi-automatic and automated those. You have the convenience of a superautomatic with the benefits of a semi-automatic. Unlike a superautomatic, you have a portafilter (a high quality one at that) which seems better than the brew group that comes with a superautomatic. Unlike a super automatic, you can use oily beans. In addition, the Oracle Touch froths your milk for you. You can determine how fine of a froth and the temperature. I have to say, the milk is perfect everytime!!! Until I got this machine, I went to that famous national chain everyday to get a latte. Since I got this machine, I only have gone once and that was to get my free birthday reward drink. The funny thing was that it didn't taste as good as what I make at home. It could be that I am ordering fresh beans from roasters across the country. I have really enjoyed them! This machine is simple to use. It has a touch screen interface which makes it easy. For example, when I select latte; I put the portafilter in the receptacle under the grinder. I press the grind button. A few moments later, I take the portafilter out and have a perfectly measured, tamped, and polished espresso in the portafilter. I move the portafilter to where the espresso comes out. I press double (for a double shot) and then Brew with two shot glasses underneath. In the meantime, I put a pitcher half-filled with milk under the steam wand and press Milk (I actually do this step before brew and wait til the milk temperature gets to 115F before pressing Brew). Then all I have to do is add the shot glasses to my cup and then pour in the milk. Voila! The perfect latte. I am very happy that I purchased this machine!

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, i believe ive owned this for about a year now. I have no mechanical issues. I do recommend using prefiltered water from your fridge or other filter. Except r/o water system. Dont use ro it will not taste good. It is very easy to clean. I have not cleaned the tank for calcium build up since i use pre filtered water. I have done the back pressure flush and that is super easy and fast.keep the wand clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth right after milk froth and lower it for automatic steam clean. Most settings was 27 on grinder but i change it for cappuccino and grind finer for stronger and longer pour. The grind and the coffee type with change how long of pours. See youtube vid out of seatle. A lady explains them in detail and cleaning. Pre filter..pre filtet For latte i turn up the temp and foam to max for my taste. Makes a great latte. Make sure you buy espresso beans not coffee. The higher the fat content in milk the more foam cream.. american coffee is wow. Much better than kuerig. So i think this machine has made around 900 to a thousand coffee's. No issues. Works the same as day one. You get what you pay for. 900 times 5 dollars is 4500 dollars. Paid its self off in less than a year and taste better than starbucks. Local beans are 17 dollars a pound. Last two to three weeks with multiple coffee drinkers in the house.

The very best cappuccino machine I ever had ...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this machine for three months now, and it's absolutely perfect in every way. I've had a variety of expensive machines in this price range over the past 15+ years - from fully automatics such as Miele, to semi-automatics including Mini Vivaldi and Kitchen Aid, etc. Nothing has turned out the quality of espresso and micro foam (I'm a cappuccino person) as my new Breville Oracle Touch. And here's the trick: I've been using the same Illy Dark Roast espresso beans all this time. The grind quality and pressure of the Breville take the espresso to a whole different level of flavor and richness. I was blown away at the results. The design of the machine is top notch and incredibly functional. I love the water filler right up front. It's so easy, and I don't have to remove a tank. Unlike the Miele, which cleans itself all the time, I don't have to empty a drip tray or waste container every five minutes. The steam wand has a built in thermometer and you can set the temp to your preference. No more scalded milk. I can even walk away from it and it will shut off when the frothing is complete - perfect every time. I loved the Miele, but always had to microwave the milk prior to frothing. It never got as hot as I like. So the temp setting on the Breville is a huge plus for me. And the foam is so creamy ... delicious! I really like how the bean bin has an airtight sealed lid, which keeps them fresh between uses. One note: the machine has an endless array of settings, and I did feel a little lost when it setting it up. There are several YouTube videos out there from actual users who graciously share the settings they use. Take the time to watch, it's well worth it.

A little pricey but does everything it should
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This espresso machine is about as expensive as it gets before you would switch to a professional machine. You could make an argument that the non-touch version of the Oracle is a better value, and would certainly deliver the same results. However, this machine hits all the marks. It's miles beyond the Barista Touch. The grinder/tamper means no more mess. The double boiler cuts the time nearly in half. The water tank is larger and much easier to fill. The steam wand is more sophisticated, but unlike the Barista, this steam wand really seems to prefer a wet cloth to clean the exterior, rather than simply a paper towel. I chalk that up to the wand tip getting hotter and thereby creating a tougher milk film. The extra pressure seems to help keep shots consistent, so I'm adjusting the grind size less frequently. Also, the out-of-the-box settings are nearly perfect (aside from grind size of course) so there's less fiddling overall. TLDR - it's a very high quality machine. You won't mistake it for a La Marzocco or a machine from a high end manufacturer who specializes in espresso machines. But when it comes to general kitchen appliance manufacturers, this is as good as it gets and met my expectations.

Amazing Innovation in One Machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could barely stomach the cost, but now that we have it and use it multiple times per day, it would be hard to go back. I would buy this again and wouldn't change a thing. The adjustability of the grind, the froth, the heat, the customization, so amazing. Fits under the kitchen counter. Has a cool function to move it easily. Water refill is simple. Fresh bean hopper is awesome. Easy pullout tray for cleaning. All good and looks great! Heats quickly, has option to schedule on and off. Great for kids hot chocolate too!

No more Statbucks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great machine. There is a slight learning curve, but here are a few tips after 2 years of use. 1) Only use beans with a roast date on them and try not to use old beans. Sell by datwa are not fresh beans. Try Mostra Coffee or Little Waves. Avoid super oily beans. 2) Get a scale. Amount of grinded beans to output shouls be measured initially. Use youtube to learn the ratios. 3) I have always set the grind from 19-22 and adjust dependent upon beans and scale reading. 4) Adjust the amount of coffee being grinded; use the tool provided to adjust the amount. Plenty youtube videos on this. Once tou perfect to your liking youll realize how many better beans are out there than sbux and other large chains.

Breville Oracle Touch AMAZING MACHINE - But...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oracle Touch is an amazing Espresso machine. While someone with more knowledge could have figured out the grind size for each type of coffee bean -I wasn't able to figure this part out. The size of the grind is the only thing that you have to figure out on this machine - it does literally everything else for you. But at $2500 - I decided it was too much for me and I went with the Barista touch which is $1500 less. I'm still figuring out the grind size - but it doesn't seem as hard on this less expensive machine that is amazing too!!!

Best Espresso, Latte, Americano maker I’ve tried
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing does it all! And makes it easy!!! The coffee comes out great tasting and the milk is nice and frothy. Very simple use and the machine is very well made, all stainless and heavy duty parts. This thing weighs a ton!!! Love it. A little pricey, but well worth it for the quality of the machine you get as long as it lasts a while and you stop doing Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts.
