An easy printer to install is what we wanted. It was easy to install and has worked nicely.

This Brother HL4570CDW printer was purchased in May 2012 as the primary printer for our small office. Shortly thereafter we started noticing black spots on our printed documents. We called Best Buy and they wanted to be on the line with us when it happend, but since the spots occurred randomly and without warning, it was hard to do so. Then there was the leaking of the toner which caused major graying on the print jobs. We called Best Buy and they said that it was too late and we should have purchased the warrantly. Our only option was to work directly with Brother. Thankfully the serious gray staining problem seemed to correct itself, but there is still random spotting on our print jobs. Overall quality, particularly for pictures is not great. We seem to be replacing toners more often than we did with our previous printer. This is truly something we should have caught when reading the information as the end result is having to have more toners on-hand and having more toners to responsibly dispose of. Today a new issue popped up. There is a squeaking sound coming from the printer. It makes the sound when we print heavier jobs (over 5 pages or so) one after the other. I am usually hesitant to post negative reviews about anything, but this Brother can be categorized as a poor choice due to the issues. Perhaps this one is just a lemon, but I am not sure I am willing to try another Brother again to test this hypothesis.

the only thing I would ask brother to change is the fact that the toner displays, both on the key pad and the computer monitor, flash "toner low" once they start to get low and continue to flash for what seemed like weeks. it would be much more helpful if it would display the amount of toner left rather than 'toner low"
