Good price, great print quality. It was slow printing a big print job (100+ pages) but to me that isn’t a big deal. The images and color came out great.

It works fine for me. It works fine and fits well on my office desk. The print clarity is good but looks like it’s not that dark..but clear enough. May be it’s a way to save ink. Wish it shipped with a USB cable. It does not come with a USB cable. I love USB printing because it is much faster.

first I really like the line and our company has several of the larger model. This one I bought because my user had a small space to sit it. It did not loose any of the features, power or speed of their larger printers. Plus the price was good too.

It is a great printer, but the ink yield is low. I have use it as a copier and scanner and it works great. The ipad app is a most if you use an ipad, but it is free and easy to use.

When I first received this printer, I was very excited to have it in my home office as it looks like a professional and capable printer that would suit me very well for use in my small business. It doesn't take up much space and its aesthetics remind me of a Mercedes Benz...simple, clean, but just that hint of classy and sporty that let you know this isn't your run of the mill machine. Set up was a breeze. Install ink cartridges, plug it in, and let it walk you through everything. The touch screen is small, but easy to navigate. Even though the size of the screen and selections made me a little nervous that I was going to need to be very deliberate with my fingers when selecting options, I had zero issues. Connected to the internet and in just a couple minutes and one test page later I was on my way. The paper is located in the very bottom of the machine in an easily removable tray that is fantastic for saving space. I hate those printers where you have to load the paper from behind as it makes the machine sit out so far from a wall that it makes positioning the printer a pain and throws off the flow of any room. Brother, good work on this design idea. Never go back. Although I appreciate the space saving design, please improve on the quality of the tray and ease of paper adjustments. The tray feels light and flimsy, and every time I move the paper guides I feel like I am going to strip the plastic gears in the tray. After printing my first set of invoices, I was happy with the quality of the printed pages and the speed at which it printed. What I was especially happy with was the two sided printing was incredibly simple and neat. I always hated printing a document and having to reload that same sheet of paper, praying I loaded it in the correct orientation, in order to get a two sided print. This printer made my life easier in this aspect. However, after printing off basic documents, the new shiny feel of this printer started to wear off. After printing invoices, I typically load my #10 Envelopes into the printer and print the labels and return addresses that go out to my clients. On my old printer, it was clearly labeled where and how to load my office envelopes and there was a specific selection for #10 Envelopes. This made my life so much easier as I was able to professionally address envelopes. I am not sure that this printer has that ability. This envelope size is not shown in the printer settings menu. A C5 is. But not a #10. This is a printer geared at small offices, and I can not easily address an office envelope. I have searched the Brother website, Google, YouTube, nothing to help me. Also couldn't find anything about it in the included Brother Software. This was a big let down for me. I hope the setting is somewhere in there and I am just missing it, but it definitely is not as easy as my previous printer. With the inability to print envelopes from this printer, I tasked my old printer with this job and decided to see how well this printer would do with photos, as I had just finished editing some images and photographs for my small business and was working on some pamphlets to present to clients to outline what my company could do. I grabbed one of the images off of the computer, added some quality photo paper to the Brother printer, changed the settings on both my PC and the printer to the paper and quality desired, and sent the job to the printer. I wish I hadn't done that. All I did was waste ink, paper, and time. When the picture finished printing, the quality of the image made me think that I had loaded the photo paper wrong and that it printed on the back side that was matte. Nope. I loaded the paper correctly. The quality was just that poor. Similar to if you dropped a newspaper in a puddle. I really wanted to like this printer. On paper, it checked all of the boxes of what I could use in my office and had me excited to get it up and running. But that paper that outlines everything that this machine can do must have been printed on someone else's printer and the actual performance did not live up to the promises given in the description. You may want to look into spending a little bit more and getting a higher end product with Brother, or elsewhere.

The only problem I encountered when setting up the printer was the sample ink packets were dried out and I had to go out and purchase new ones before I could test the printer.

Brother printer was replaced due to shortage of cartridges. I used it for almost 5 years and I was getting ready to replace all the ink cartridges, so it made sense to replace it now.

I really like the look of this printer and it's a nice, clean, business-like design. If something is going to be sitting out in the open it should look great and this fits the bill. Although this may take up slightly more room than a true compact printer, it's much nicer to just have a slide-out paper tray than the types of printers that load from the top/back which actually can take up a lot of room. Overall, it's small but provides some conveniences of larger printers. The construction of the printer is on the budget end of things: the paper tray is a little flimsy as well as the hinges on the back. Setup was super easy. You just install the ink cartridges and the setup guides you through everything. The controls are simple and intuitive. Although the touchscreen is small, it functions well and I have average sized fingers and never had any accidental presses. WiFi setup and use has been consistent and I did not have any issues with dropping connection but the convenience is fantastic. There is a USB connection if you need to connect to it directly. Printing from my iPhone was a snap and found that to be one of my favorite features. In terms of printing quality, it's going to be a bit of a mixed bag. Black and white text is great, but where it falls a little short will be with graphics, especially if you want consistent color with large areas of a particular color. I experienced a little banding of colors on occasion. Replacing ink cartridges is super easy as you just access them from a front panel. Convenient. However, the ink cartridge prices leave a little to be desired. Overall, I think this printer is a nice balance that provides just enough for almost any household.
