I been waiting for this game to come out physical in best buy for the longest time now for anyone who missed out on the physical release by limited run games best get on picking this game up. It comes with the manual like all LRG releases with alt cover art from the ones they shipped. This game is very reminiscent of the early paper mario games nothing like the most recent ones so anyone who is interested in a game like the older paper mario check this game out. This physical copy does have a update so not all of it is on the game card from ver 1.1.0.1 on card to ver 1.1.1

I had no idea Limited Run sold this thru Best Buy, or I’d have pre-ordered this from the get-go. Seeing as it was still available in mid-2022, I snatched it up, like that: *snaps fingers* Anyhow, all I can say is, for those who love the “old school” Paper Mario games (the 1st & The Thousand-year Door), then this is for you – a non-official spiritual successor, if you will. I’ll leave it at that. But for those who love the 1st two, or even the first three Paper Mario games (before the Sticker era), then you’ll most likely like this. Enough said.

Funny and great take on the format. You get to play as 3 bugs - all at once! - with different skills and personalities. There is a lot to this game. A lot! I decided to just finish the game and that’s it. But there is a lot more story and side quests for me to complete. Humorous, nice art, fantastic music. I would play it again! Overly not too difficult. Only a few bosses or fights I would have to do twice as I got to know their tactics and what best to use.

Bought this as a gift. See the gameplay, probably the closest you'll get to a successor to the original Paper Mario game from N64. It's a tougher game though. So if you're looking for something similar to the OG Paper Mario or a fun and charming turn based RPG, I recommend.

Bug Fables is a sheer joy to play all the way through. The story is full of surprises, the writing is clever, the characters are charming, and the combat is engaging even in regular battles. There are plenty of ways to customize the game with medals granting different abilities, as well as a variety of rewarding optional side quests. I absolutely loved this game and have already recommended it to others!

A great game to play if your missing old school Paper Mario games from the Gamecube and N64.

If you're looking for a game that looks and plays similar to the original Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64, look no further! I haven't finished the game yet but I am enjoying the journey so far. With it being from Limited Run, I would recommend picking up the physical sooner than later before it sells out. Well worth the price!

Nintendo should take note of this great game. Glad it got a limited-run physical release. If you are a Paper Mario fan and are fed up with the weird recent releases, this game will satisfy those needs missing from those games. This is how Paper Mario is supposed to be.

This is a fierce, emotional and captivating game about bugs. Paper Mario wishes she could slay half as hard! I don’t want to drag paper Mario too hard but this game served looks and delivered! Yasss GAWD!

This is a great must own physical game for collectors! It's a JRPG indie game. It plays a lot like the original Paper Mario game on N64. Get it while you can because they didn't release many copies.

Amazing game, I have been waiting for the physical version forever. I loved all the Paper Mario games, and this game gives me a bit of Paper Mario with a Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga feel.

the general consensus is that this game reminds everyone of paper mario and the inspiration is evident as soon as you boot the game, but a great game on it’s own merits. neat rpg with bugs

This game is so charming, so fun, and so everything it needs to be. If you've even had the slightest interest in playing it, do yourself a favor. Do it.

Excellent game for those that miss the classic era of Mario RPGs and enjoy a more involved turn-based combat system. Fantastic art-style as well, hurry this won't last!

This has to be one of my favorite switch games. Even after you finish all of the levels there’s still more discovery to be made.

Bug Fables for Nintendo Switch is a fun and unique open world game with hours of gameplay. Definitely recommend this one.

Didn’t know much about it going in but it’s a lot like the old paper Mario games so it was nice to see a game like it.
