As someone who’s played mostly the old school Cod games and little of the newer games, I feel nostalgic. Call of Duty lost me after CODMW3. I’m not a fan of the futuristic games that has seen daylight. But I’m glad IW has gone back to its roots. I recommend.

I stopped playing COD for a looong time because of their new game modes with jet back and alien kin of weapons. I played this game with my friend before buying it and gave me flashbacks so I had to buy it. Best call of duty that has came out since MW3 and black ops. Story mode is insane and the maps aren’t as bad as the advanced ware fare.

Takes forever to load online with the updates. After that, fire away! Game goes back to original style of perks, claymores and good maps. Couple of the maps are boring but I guess fun.
Overall worth buying at BEST BUY!!!!

I’m really disappointed. I’ve been a COD Modern Warfare fan and Founder for years. I’ve love it. Until the most recent version. I’m stuck in Cali alone while I complete an internship. I was so excited when I saved up enough money to buy a new PlayStation and MW, but that excitement was quickly devastated when I couldn’t even play campaign mode without first downloading over a hundred gigabits. OVER 100 GBs sure that doesn’t sound like a lot, unless your restricted to a hotspot and the max you can download is 30GBs. I finally found a friend to help me get the download completed so that I could at minimum play the campaign. Day one I played a bit, day two a little more, day three I couldn’t start the game because a new update required another hundred gigabit download. You can’t start this game without checking for updates. Spending money. Buying packages. Buying a subscription. Save your $60 don’t buy this game.

The game takes around 40 minutes to install off of the disk. It takes another 50 to 60 gb update to complete the install of the game. If you dont have great internet speeds you will be waiting a long time to play. Single player campaign cant be played until all downloads are complete.

This game is honestly the best Call of Duty in a very long time, since Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 3, really. Multiplayer is incredibly fun and plays so similar to the golden days that it wasn't hard for me to pick it back up. The weapon selection, class modifications, etc is all so well balanced and optimized. So many touches of features used through the years that somehow just WORK now, and there are SO MANY ATTACHMENTS. Yet they make sense! The amount of content to grind is plentiful without being too monotonous, and while gamers who have enough free time and skill to pound out bounties like Fun-Size bags of Doritos will run out of things to do, the multiple steps to them keeps you going if you're an average Joe with only a couple hours a day or so
Then you have Co-op. Multiple popular modes from previous Modern Warfare titles. The new engine can handle it all really smoothly.
And the campaign? Holy cow is it fantastic! Be warned however: the controversial content is practically every other mission, so there's no skipping it since avoiding it would give you no campaign at all. Some will have an issue with that. I however appreciate not censoring the reality of how terrible, and unnerving warfare and associated choices are. The story is all-out Edgy.
The one part you can skip is the most controversial of them all, so SPOILER WARNING.
You are ordered to bring the family of the terrorist leader in while you're interrogating the terrorist, and use the family as leverage. (Yes this is a war crime) Your character is told, "There is no going back from here. Are you in, or are you out?"
I backed out.
I could handle the other horrors, but I couldn't stomach using the innocent. Even if they weren't harmed in that sequence.
This moment is NOT ROMANTICIZED as heroic, or excused as a moral gray area. It's just REALLY messed up. People will debate ethics all they want, but this game does not imply the choice for you. And that's realistic. And I appreciate that. Sometimes everything is just bad.
But this game sure as heck isn't.

This year's call of duty brings back a single player campaign and it's amazing. Great story and gameplay. Only downside is it's kinda short. The multiplayer is very fun this year. Maps take some time getting use to. The weapons feels more impactful and they went with more realism this year which makes it feel more strategic than other call of duty games at times. If you're a fan of call of duty or shooter games in general then you will love modern warfare

As far as graphics and sound, as one would expect, they are the best yet of any COD game. Maps are gorgeous as well as character models and guns. Firing guns feel smooth and sexy. The sound effects used in the game are top-notch.
Like other CODs, you level your character and guns. Unlike other iterations, however, there are many, many levels to each gun and each gun has a gambit of attachments and camos available as you progress through the gun's rank.
Some of the game modes have maps that were specifically designed for that game mode, and as such, are unavailable outside of those modes. An example would be the 2v2 gun game maps...very small maps and therefore would not work in a 6v6 or higher mode. On the other hand, they have a couple of large maps that are only in the 10v10 and 20v20 rotation. Of the maps int he HC KC and TDM playlists, I do enjoy them all. Some of the map designs encourage teams to hold and not advance, but I believe this was done by design as they wanted this iteration in the series to be more "tactical" vs run and gun. I am a run and gun player, so those are tough maps for me to do well in.
There are daily challenges that you earn XP or cosmetic rewards for completing. There are also a bunch of selectable challenges that each have several "tiers" to complete. The selectable challenges have to be activated to track, and only one can be activated at a time. These selectable challenges can be enabled/disabled at whim, so you can work on different ones and off. Some of the challenges require you to play other game modes to complete certain tiers. The rewards for completing these challenges are cosmetic items or special gun variants.
IW recently pushed a large update that fixed some of the issues this game had at launch. As of this writing, there are still a bunch of bugs that need to be fixed. In the update, they added HC KC to the playlist, which is a game mode that I almost exclusively play.
Gone are the days of the season pass. You buy the game, you will get the future maps and content included at no extra cost. I love that they have taken this approach. Now, everyone has access to all maps.
Now the bad...
Daily challenges do not track properly. I am finding that challenges start to track, but they suddenly stop. You have to completely exit the game and restart it for them to start tracking again. We did find out that the challenges are still tracking even when the progress bar is not progressing. IW is working on a fix, but as of this writing, they have not fixed it.
Camping...I have played COD from the beginning (even before multiplayer was introduced). I can honestly say that even though camping players have always existed, the way the gameplay has been slowed down in this game and the perk system encourages camping...really, really, really hardcore camping. I am talking entire teams sitting in buildings just waiting for players to run in so they can kill them. It is so bad I have been tempted to start playing Headquarters or Domination just to get away from the camping. Even in the KC playlist, camping is awful. I know IW wanted to "slow" this game down, but, sadly, this is ruining the game for me because outside of that, the game is truly enjoyable.
I have not finished the campaign yet, but what I have done so far is good. The storyline and gameplay in the campaign are truly awesome. One thing to note is that the campaign is single player.
There is also a Co-Op Specialist mode in which you can team up with friends and play through challenges. I have not done this yet, but it is available outside of PvP and the campaign.
Map voting is gone. As more maps get added I hope they add map voting back in so you can play better maps more often, but as of now, you are at the games mercy as to what map you will load into.
One last thing to note is that the game uses skill-based matchmaking when dumping you into a lobby. This is fine if you are playing alone, but if you are playing with friends, the game will match you in a lobby that is close to the highest skilled player in your group. So if you are new to the game and group with someone significantly better than you, prepare to be owned.
Overall I am really happy with this game. It is not perfect, but IW is working on the "bug" list and is pushing out fixes in order of importance. There is a Reddit thread that tracks the issues and fixes.
If you are a fan of COD, then this game will not disappoint. If you are a run-n-gun player, you will have to rethink your playstyle.

As a long-time Call of Duty player, I was eager to play Modern Warfare when it was revealed. I was finding the 'future' settings of the recent games kind of tiring.
Modern Warfare 2019 is a lot of fun.
The campaign is basically a reboot of the Modern Warfare series and is really impressive with both visuals and plot. I think this has to be one of the most realistic Call of Duty's that I have played in a long time. The sounds rip right through the speakers as your surrounded by enemies while choppers fly overhead, firing upon you. By the end of the campaign, I found myself excited for Modern Warfare 2 because there are some characters that are mentioned that veteran players will recognize.
Now the multiplayer.
If you're looking for the run and gun formula that we were all used to in past Call of Duty games, then you will be slightly disappointed because now the maps are laid out in a way that has you thinking instead of running out into the open, gun blazing. It took me a little bit to adjust but now I am fine with this kind of playstyle.
The DLC maps are all free and offer variety whether you're playing the classic 6v6 game modes or if you're playing 20v20 Ground War huge maps.
There is a Battle Pass much like we see in Fornite. It's optional and as far I have seen, there isn't any Pay to Win mechanics to be offered.
Modern Warfare isn't perfect but it's definitely a welcomed return to boots on the ground shooting.

Okay so this game is pretty awesome but there is still a lot of bugs and some things are a little bit out of balance so I give a 2 or 3 mouths to let be in better shape to get the game but out of all that it awesome I like mostly the spec Ops because for ones there a another coop campaign kind of deal for it but the survival is okay like 4.2 okay but not bad I just don't the maps that you can only play on. if they give ya more options for it then I would maybe change my answer but the campaign is not bad but short the mp is fun some gamemodes are not the greatest but it prttey fun and alright I'm just saying it fun by yourself but more fun with friends mostly. But enough about that. Here's the details at the game. The is about tactic and mostly listening, camping a little bit, intense Gunplay and there is no max level for MP or SO ( multi-player or spec ops)
There only max level for your guns on both but that it. There's these operators characters customisation but you can't do much of it you only choose the color of clothes that's it. There is however a Armory of special kind of attachment for your weapons and value of it that I'm pretty you can't get out of the them when you level the weapons up. But that all I can so far I like it, it awesome the gameplay is interesting and I can't wait to see how far it will go.
