    I thought this lens would out-perform my 18-135mm IS-STM kit lens..I believe it did not out-perform my 18-135mm..when you focus it makes sound that is kind of distracting. It is bad in low lights..it is heavy..I was a bit frustrated..I did not return it, I decided to keep it and compare it with other lenses..don't buy this lens save your money for a better one..

    This was an economical lens that functioned perfectly in photographing African animals at a distance. Lower weight was a bonus!
