This lens can be bulky and long. It starts at 70mm to 300mm, so you can bring far away things closer. Easy to snap onto camera.

Great lens very sharp photos great zoom usm is great

I have owned a Canon camera and lenes for several years, The latest camera being a digital SLR. It came bundled with a 75-300 mm lens, but it did not have the image stabilization feature like my latest purchase has. It works very well. I often don't need a tripod to get a good picture with it. Excellent purchase.

Love this lens. I have been shooting a lot of youth hockey with it, and while I would love one of Canon's faster lenses at 300mm, I've found that this one does just fine in most of the arenas I've shot in, and my wallet is all the happier too. Top it off with the 200 rebate Canon was running and this lens was a steal!

Remember to use the zoom lock button to keep the lens securely fixed in place when your photo finger is idle. Keep it 1000.

This lens is amazing, it is so fast and quick to focus on fast action shots. They are not blurry and very crisp. I take alot of photos at rodeos and the standard lens could not focus quick enough to take the picture. I am so happy I purchased this lens!

I have used this lens just a few times and I love it. I enjoy photographing birds and animals so this lens gives me a nice telephoto range. The images are sharp and the image stabilizer allows me to hand hold the camera for great close up shots.

I wanted to get my girl an awesome present for Christmas and she is all about her pictures and doing photography so I took her in to Best buy and she said this is one that she will need in the future so we bought it on the spot. So far she absolutely loves it and uses it all the time to take awesome pictures.

I would definitely suggest this lenses for the nonprofessional photographers out there. It is a little more expensive than the version without the image stabilizer, but well worth it of you plan on shooting without a tripod.
