This is an upgrade from my Canon 50D. If you are familiar with Canon cameras, this camera shouldn't be that hard to get used to, as it is laid out pretty much the same. The in-camera HDR is simple to use and fun to experiment with the many style options that you are given. Excellent for low light situations and for night time shots - always super sharp shots. This camera captures so much detail that some of my shots actually have a 3D look to them. I highly recommend this camera!

I have been researching this camera for some time and now that I have it, I can't imagine using anything else. Everything was just as expected as far as quality of pictures. And the jump from my 60d was nearly seamless. The HDR functionality is incredible, and the AF system is unmatched.

I have owned Canon's for over 15 years. Started with crop sensor then moved to the Canon 6D and recently upgraded to the 5D. I love the options for focal points and how much more clarity you have in your images.

I really like this camera. I like the picture output. I like the extra focus points over my 6D. I like the feel of it in my hands, but I couldn't bring myself to love this camera for one simple thing: The joystick and navigation wheel. I don't know if this is because I'm used to the easier to use 6D controls or if it's just bad design on Canon's part. Grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter and I really don't care. Either way, I give the camera 5-stars for everything else. Don't base your judgment on my nit-pickiness. Unless, of course, you really hate joysticks. Then judge away.

This camera was purchased as an upgrade from my 60D. Going from a crop sensor camera to full frame is amazing, with images coming out with vivid detail at almost everything under 6400 ISO. Noise is acceptable at high ISO, assuming you have decent glass to use with it. Anything in Canon's L series or Zeiss goes great in addition to a battery grip for better hand support. Beginners will not have such a great time with this camera as there are too many manual options to choose, but if you're serious about your photography, this camera is the one to get. Video output is amazing too, assuming you have a stable support system to mount the camera on.

This is my 1st SLR camera. I did my homework and made the purchase. It may have been a little more than what I planned on spending, but definitely worth the investment!

This camera by far is an amazing camera. I don't see any negatives on this camera. Yes some may say to costly but realize for quality you must pay. There is really nothing bad to say about this. I will try and post more once i get to know this camera more.

I have been wanting this camera for a long time. I have heard so many good things about it. And now that I own it I wish I would've bought it earlier. It has lived up to my expectations.

My wife is in love with her new camera. She is amazed at the increase in quality of her pictures moving from her Canon Ti3. She was a little disappointed that all of her lenses from her Canon Ti3 did not work with the new Canon 5D MarkIII.

I like this camera very much. I upgraded from a canon rebel3. Seems faster than my last camera. A little heavier but not bad. Takes great pictures.

Replaced a 7D for sports photojournalism and ridiculously happy with the upgrade. Full-frame, decent shutter speed and great ISO performance in hellish gym conditions make this worthy of its reputation as a solid, go-to sports camera.

Bought this camera a couple years ago as a secondary camera to my 7D Mark II. It quickly became my primary camera and I sold the 7D. The color, sharpness and clarity are incredible. I love CANON!

After researching cameras for months, I finally chose the 5D Mark III and I couldn't be happier with my decision! Great camera!

I previously purchased a Mark II. I enjoy wildlife photography and this one stands out way above the Mark II. More clarity in pictures. Really enjoy it. Looking forward to taking it to Alaska for more wildlife

The camera is easy to use if you have other canon cameras. The resulting photographs are very beautiful and professional enlarged on the wall.

If you are thinking of upgrading from an APS-C body to full frame, you should strongly consider the extra $200.00 to get a Canon 5D MKiii instead of the new 6D MKii.

I upgraded from the orginal 5D, and glad that I did! Was considering the 6d, but glad I bought mark III
