I bought this To back up my other 5d3 - that's how much I like it. I use it for stills and video interviews - the key parts of my work. Yes ideally I'd have a dedicated video cam and a smaller camera body like a Sony mirror less - also good in low light - but I travel a lot and this camera covers it all.

I owned a Canon 6D for years and loved it, but always felt there was something missing. Finally I took the plunge after MUCH research and some drooling over the 5D MarkIII. And I couldn't be happier. The 64 point focus is really what I love most compared to the 6D, and the advanced shooting options are really a great step up to challenging myself as a hobby/semi-pro photographer. I will say if I just started with the 5D I would be overwhelmed with the complex options and tempted to stay in Auto (which is NOT something you want to do with this camera, you can do so much more in Manual or Aperture Priority etc.) So do your research and maybe work your way up to this camera, you'll be glad in the long run once you nail down your shots in a different camera.

The Canon EOS Mark III DSLR Camera is the perfect camera to help me capture the amazing moments that my clients will cherish forever. The 64 point auto focus also allows me to quickly capture that moment without having to worry about missing it by a second. Extremely happy with this camera and look forward to more to come.

Fantastic camera. Sharp quality. Amazing Iso capabilities. I wish I hadn't waited so long to get the camera. SOOC images look good enough to cut my editing time in half. Definitely worth the value for that reason alone

Everything about this camera has been designed for the professional photographer in mind. High ISO capabilities are unmatched among competing DSLR bodies. Yes, it is $2,500 but the performance and quality of this camera is top-tier. I plan on using it for many years to come. Upgraded from the 60D.
