This was suppose to be my next step up from a Canon 40D. Oops I guess I forgot to use baby steps. I wanted to purchase a full frame DSLR with a high increase in over all picture quality and size, the 5D Mark IV definitely qualifies. Once I compared the two cameras it was like the 40D was a camera phone, I guess that explained why it only had 10.1 mega pixel. I am extremely excited and satisfied with my purchase.

This product was a great choice of purchase. I decided to update from my 5d Mark II to the 5d Mark IV. The pictures are very sharp and have so many more updates and editions that help me to achieve the pictures and style that I want. In addition, I also cannot wait to do video with it. The best is yet to come!

I’ve been waiting so long and even started to lose my canon gears for Sony, and here it comes finally. Overall, this is a very solid performer and have almost everything I wanted. Particularly, 4k internal recording and touch screen focus for both still and video.

I purchased this camera to upgrade to a full frame camera. I chose the mk iv because of the wifi and geo tag. My 70D has wifi and I actually use it a lot.. not a camera for everybody especially with the $$$ tag on it but if you're a professional photographer or an amateur photographer that is looking for the best this is the most affordable high end canon camera you can find other than the 5dsr

I've just started using the Canon 5D Mark IV and I have to say that so far I'm impressed. I'm upgrading from a much older Canon camera and it's superior in every way. The image quality is fantastic and the camera has performed flawlessly with my use. I haven't had an opportunity to use the camera's video capabilities, but I imagine I'll be just as blown away when I do.

CR2 is Better than CR3 Raw

I shot with my Canon 5D Mark II until the very end this past September when the shutter finally gave out after 10 years . What I loved about that camera was the color space that came with the CR2 camera raw . I like my raw files as close in color as the JPegs ( I shoot both Raw & JPEGs ) Most of the newer cameras have CR3 raw profiles which you have to work more to get a proper color in post. So Happy the Canon 5D MK IV has CR2 Raw camera color profile! I wish more cameras had that.

    Dream Camera

This has been my dream camera for many years. I had the original Canon 5D for over 10 years and it finally quit on me. I was devastated, but decided it was time to trade up. There is a bit of a learning curve with the Mark IV and I am still getting used to some of the differences but it is an undeniable upgrade. The photos I have taken so far have been beautiful. It seems to bring out the best in my lenses and has amazing low light capability. The biggest problem I have run into so far is that the RAW files from this camera can't be read by my Adobe Lightroom program so I had to download the Canon RAW file converter. I'm sure I will come up with a new work flow in time. For now, I'm just not shooting in RAW since the file size is much larger than with the original 5D anyway. The camera arrived very quickly, a day ahead of schedule, and was well packaged. I had to sign for it, which is good considering it wasn't an inexpensive item. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and look forward to several years of use.

I am a professional photographer and this camera is amazing. The touch options work great for getting awkward angles, it's fast, reliable, the color range is gorgeous. Custom settings, wifi, lens selection, the full frame sensor.. honestly really glad I finally upgraded from my Canon 5d Mark 2. The low light and ISO capabilities work well for wedding photographers.

Not for beginners confusing options in the menu it may be the same with the mark III? You really have to know what each thing does or what it doesn't do, it maybe easier for someone who has worked with pro level cameras before? color is not the same as most canons (lighter not as vibrant) and that is one thing I wish they didn't change cause I loved canon's color .It was said in a review you rarely miss shots with it , I found I miss just as many shots as I do with my 6D and my T6i and that is using a center focus point, I also used the auto focus and moved focus points and it missed shots. I think people would be better off with the mark iii until the price drops on the IV unless you feel you need the extra MP's and it would be worth it to you paying the higher price. It's not a terrible camera but not worth the high price tag in my opinion.

I am very Happy with this Camera as I can shoot at lowlight with high quality sharp images( which are technically good), my post production efforts are less. I didn't try all the options yet,, shooting live mode needs little practice, best prat about it is I can connect my tab in Wi-Fi mode for Photo and Video shoot I don't need additional expensive field monitors,

This was my wife's Christmas present, and she loves it. The camera is simply amazing. Not for the casual photographer as the various features and controls actually take a bit of study to really master. However, if you really want to put in the time to learn this camera's capabilities and take fabulous pictures, this is the camera for you.

My previous camera was a Canon 7D. Although I really enjoyed the 7D, sometimes I need more lower light capabilities. The 5D MIV does very well in this respect. The 5D MIV is a full sensor which has some advantages over the crop sensor of the 7D. I have taken some excellent shots with the 7D and so far, I have been pleased with the photos of the 5D MIV.
