I love this camera. My astrology pictures with 30.4 can be cropped nicely. Color it produces is gorgeous. It has more features that I'm just learning. Using Canon 100-400 with the 5d mark iv has been mid altering with tac sharp images.

I've been running my own photography website for over five years now at TheVisualGeek.com and within that time I've upgraded my camera twice.
I went from a Canon SXI to a Canon 7D, but have been waiting over four years for this camera to come out and I'm so happy that it finally did.
Of course it's expensive and I wouldn't recommend it for a point and shoot person looking to upgrade, but if you've been taking photography more seriously and it's your passion, then do yourself a favor and buy this camera.

This camera is EVERYTHING I didn’t even know I needed. I upgraded from the 6D that I’ve been using for about 5 years and it is amazing! The quality of the images are even better. It is a bit heavier and I noticed my wrist hurting after using it all day a week or so after purchasing it. Still doesn’t deter me from using it though. Definitely worth it. I can now use the 6D as my family travel/2nd wedding camera. It’s a pretty penny but you wouldn’t be reading this review if you still weren’t considering it. You won’t be disappointed in this luxury body. Get one now and thank me later!

It's a Canon - meaning they never disappoint. I have been shooting for over 10 years and started with one of their kid bodies and lenses. Canon has grown with me, great product, wonderful customer service.

I've saved up for years to buy this and I am not disappointed. The quality of images is excellent & I really appreciate all the added features. I've found the wireless capabilities, dual card slot, & touch screen help me be so much more efficient on shoots. All-in-all I'm in love!!

I upgraded from a canon 70D. I’m not an extremely experienced photographer and this is definitely not a beginner camera however I’m not having any problems picking it up. Lots of options and features. Takes excellent pictures. Highly recommend this camera.

The new Canon 5D Mark IV is so much better than I thought it could be. I have only had this body for a month, but coming from a Canon 7D, the 5DM4 is so much better with: button control placement, focus is fast and accurate, viewfinder information is magnificent, the framing level indicator helps me keep my images straight, and image quality with the same lenses (5DM4 vs 7D) are so much better with the full frame sensor.
The Canon 5D Mark IV is everything I needed in an update. The camera is worth every dollar if you are looking at purchasing a camera body in the 5D series. One may need to work harder or save up, but if this camera body is within your budget, just buy it.
I have had my 7D for years and needed a full frame upgrade. The newest bodies in the 5D series are great and the 5DM4 combines a lot of those excellent features into a camera body that excites.
I am back into photography with this Canon! NB

This is my first full-frame dslr from Canon. I have used other dslr's before but not the 5D. The touch screen is really nice and the image quality is superb. This is a keeper and a work horse. I can't wait to do some traveling to see the full capabilities of this beast.

I have been shooting Canon DSLR's for close to 10 years now. I started with a 40D, then a 7D, then a 5D2, 5D3 and as soon as the 5D4 was announced I was drooling. Initially the dual pixel raw was the most interesting feature to me. Once I started using the camera, it was the continuous video AF and live view AF shooting. The touch screen was a surprisingly pleasant new feature that I find more useful than I thought I would. I love the GPS geotagging every shot while I travel. The improvements in dynamic range are understated. You can shoot for the highlights and recover shadows by 2 stops easy without excessive noise.
The only thing to keep in mind is with the higher MP count, you will need to shoot with slightly faster shutter speeds than you were previously used to.
If you are coming from anything prior to a 5D3, this upgrade is a real no brainer. If you can afford it, it's a very worthwhile upgrade from the 5D3 even.

I’ve been a Canon user for many years so I’m familiar with their products. I used to shoot professionally but changed careers several years ago. I picked this camera because I felt it was the best camera available in this price range from Canon. So far I’m happy with it. The image quality is very nice, the high ISO performance is good for a camera with this pixel count.
I think there are so many options and they are all very good so you really have to pick the camera for what you want to shoot. If you want to shoot sports your probably going to want a 7D MKII or a 1DX MKII. I picked the 5D because I wanted the increase in MP and high ISO performance vs the 7D and I didn’t want to spend what a 1DX costs. I also already own several L series Canon lenses so that keeps me in the Canon ecosystem.
If I was starting from scratch this would be a tougher choice with Nikon’s newly announced D850.

Outstanding camera, image quality, better metering, AF is outstanding even in AI Servo, the customizable controls, touch screen focusing for stills or video, wifi, all reasons to upgrade. I love my 5D3, but the added features are a pleasure to work with on this.

It's large price is worth it. If you can wait 6 months to a year, the price will go down. The full frame sensor is fabulous and it has low noise at high ISOs. The 30 megapixels enables significant cropping before losing any quality. I have a tendency to tilt the camera before shooting, the in-viewfinder level eliminates this issue. I have taken both vivid sunsets and low light fall foliage with remarkable results. It is a tremendous piece of technology that takes some time getting acclimated. Place the camera on a tripod, use the app on my cellphone and I can shoot remotely without any motion artifacts and view the results on the phone screen. If I brought a tablet, I can have a larger view screen for the remote shooting.

Been waiting along time to get this camera. Weighed all the options...this camera won out, by far. The R5 will be way out of my price range and the 5D MK 4 hit most of my important check marks. Fantastic Camera!!!

I upgraded from a canon to 60d, and decided if I was going to go full frame I may as well go all the way, I've not been disappointed. Pictures are so much better, especially in low light where I need to up the ISO, even at 6800 there's almost no noise at all.

I have many cameras, but I have always wanted to upgrade my 5DM3 to the IV, and everyone would always say... "Why not get the mirrorless?" My input is, I already have mirrorless cameras of different brands, Fujifilm XT-2 & 3, Sony A7RII, Sony RX10 II, and enjoy the different uses I get from using for those cameras for personal uses, but I still wanted to have my workhorse handy. I started with a Canon, and I trust a Canon to help me get my job done when I do any photoshoot.
It has never let me down, and the quality I get from the images is tack-sharp. I can tell the difference from my 5DM3 to this new upgrade. I am so happy to have this bad-boy camera in my line up of cameras. #don'tstoplearning #keeponshooting #canon :) <3
