    My dream camera

I’m a total beginner when it comes to photography, and the Canon R6 Mark II has made me feel like I’ve got a secret weapon for taking portraits! I’m honestly shocked at the photos I’ve been able to pull off with this camera. It’s like it knows exactly what I’m trying to do and makes it happen. The autofocus is unreal—it grabs onto people’s faces so fast, even when the lighting’s weird, like at sunset or indoors with dim lamps. My portraits come out looking so sharp and vibrant, with skin tones that just feel alive. What I love most is how this camera makes me feel like I can actually do this photography thing. I was nervous starting out, but the controls are so easy to figure out, and the menu doesn’t make my head spin. I’m learning as I go, playing with light and angles, and the R6 Mark II just keeps up, giving me shots that make my friends go, “Wait, YOU took this?” It’s seriously boosted my confidence and got me hooked on capturing people’s expressions and moments. If you’re new to photography like me and want a camera that’s forgiving but still delivers pro-level portraits, this is the one. I’m obsessed and can’t imagine using anything else!

Upgrade from 6D mk ii to R6 mk ii

Huge upgrade, love the color science and the crazy blazing fast shutter speed. I like that the sensor is covered by a mechanical shutter when switching lenses. I love how lightweight the new camera is! I like that the camera has two card slots! The grip of this camera is awesome as well. The cons battery life, especially using the older batteries as back up from the 6d mk ii days. Other than that i can’t complain. Also not to mention, I own a few ef l series lenses. It’s nice that the lens are working nicely with the camera with the rf/ef dapter.

I recently purchased the Canon R6 Mark II, and I couldn’t be happier. The image quality is phenomenal, with stunning detail and color accuracy in both photos and videos. Autofocus is fast and reliable, even in low light or when tracking moving subjects—perfect for events, wildlife, or action shots. The in-body image stabilization is a game-changer, especially for handheld shooting, and the camera feels solid and ergonomic in the hands. Battery life is impressive for a mirrorless model, and the menu system is intuitive once you get used to it. Whether you’re upgrading from an older Canon or stepping into full-frame mirrorless for the first time, the R6 Mark II delivers professional-level performance without compromise. It’s definitely worth the investment.

I recently purchased a Canon EOS camera and am extremely pleased with my choice. The image quality is impressive, with vivid colors, rich detail, and excellent performance even in low-light environments. The ergonomics are also noteworthy: the grip is comfortable and the controls are well-positioned, making it very intuitive to use. Another positive point is the fast autofocus, which ensures effortless sharp photos. Furthermore, the battery life surprised me, allowing for long, worry-free photography sessions. In short, the Canon EOS exceeded my expectations and proved to be an ideal companion for capturing important moments with high quality.

    BEST camera i’ve used

The Canon R6 Mark II is hands down the best camera I’ve ever used. Everything about it feels like it was built to make creating easier, faster, and better. The autofocus is absolutely incredible—it feels like it reads my mind. Whether I’m shooting people, animals, or action, it locks on instantly and doesn’t let go. I’ve never had so much confidence that every single shot is going to come out sharp. The image quality is stunning. The colors are rich, the dynamic range is fantastic, and even in low light this camera delivers super clean, detailed files. Pair that with the 40 fps burst mode, and it feels like I can capture moments that would’ve been impossible before. Video is just as impressive. 4K60 with no crop, 6K RAW, and reliable recording with no overheating—it’s like having a professional video rig in my hands without the bulk. On top of all that, the camera just feels amazing to use. The ergonomics, button layout, and menus are intuitive and smooth. It honestly feels like an extension of me when I’m shooting, and that’s what makes it so special. In short: the R6 Mark II is a beast. Canon really nailed it with this one, and I couldn’t be happier with the results it’s giving me.

The Canon EOS R6 has completely changed the way I shoot. The image quality is fantastic—photos come out sharp with beautiful color straight out of the camera, and the low-light performance is better than anything I’ve used before. What really stands out is the autofocus. It locks on so quickly and tracks subjects effortlessly, especially eyes, which makes shooting portraits and action so much easier. The camera itself feels solid but isn’t too heavy, so it’s comfortable to carry around for long days. The controls are laid out well, and the touchscreen is responsive and easy to use. I like how customizable the buttons are because I can set it up exactly how I want. The in-body stabilization also makes a big difference when shooting handheld. Overall, the R6 is reliable, versatile, and delivers professional results without being overly complicated. It’s a camera that just makes me want to go out and shoot more.

I upgraded from the Canon 6D Mark ii, and I cannot even describe how much more incredible my photos are. I sell my photos professionally and the comparison of shots and prints I took on my 6D (which were still great quality) compared to ones of my R6 mark ii are just insane, even without using expensive lenses. Everything from the crispness of the shots to the colors and perfect saturation (which helps with post-editing) to the controls of the camera itself. I can go so much faster when taking shots just because of the organization of the buttons on the camera body. I would highly recommend this camera to those looking for an upgrade from the previous generation, or wanting something higher quality without breaking the bank. This camera and price is a STEAL in my book. Thanks Canon!

    Fantastic upgrade

Upgraded from a Canon 5D Mark IV and it has been a fantastic decision. My original reason for upgrading was to leverage more advanced video auto focusing capabilities. However, I have found the benefits to be far greater than just newer video capabilities. The advanced connectivity provided by Canon Camera Connect on your iPhone is really cool! It allows you to have remote live capture control on your iPhone or iPad! It is as if you’re looking through the viewfinder on your phone. You can control the aperture, exposure time, iso, etc etc. It’s unbelievable! So cool! The touch screen on the camera itself is much more responsive too. Also, the lithium ion large capacity batteries associated with new R series cameras are great. They charge very quickly and last quite a long time during shooting. Overall I am happy with my decision to upgrade. I hope this review helps someone else who was also in the fence about making the investment to move up to the R series from their Canon 5D Mark IV. Good job Canon and thank you!

This camera has incredible auto-focus capabilities. It is more lightweight than my DSLR, and I love that I can use the adapter to still be able to use my EF lenses. It is the preferred camera for many professionals and I am glad I made the switch to mirrorless.

Excellent camera, particularly for those transitioning from DSLRs. It delivers fast, reliable performance for both photography and video, with an impressive optical simulation mode that’s useful in a wide range of lighting conditions. While I still rely on my DSLRs, this model is a fantastic complement for long-time DSLR users looking to modernize their setup. I highly recommend sticking with EF lenses and using the adapter—they work great!

Same great build to be expected by Canon. The additional few megapixels make a significant difference for me when cropping. I'm not a huge fan of them relocating the on/off switch, but it's something I'll get used to. I recommend this camera 100%.

WOW! I didn't think it could get better but I'm very impressed by the quality of the pictures. The eye tracking just works beyond expectations. I'm getting a lot more keepers. It's much smaller than the 5D and feels a bit more "plasticey" but makes up in everything else. The AF tracking is fast, shutter speed is fantastic, especially when using the 40fps electronic shutter. I bought it on sale for $2300...had I waited I should have grabbed the R5.
