This is a great printer for my small business. We wear this thing out and it just keeps going and going plus the sales staff is really Kool We’re around 6000 copies right now and it’s still going strong. Definitely recommend.

I'll try to keep it brief which will be difficult considering how happy I am with this color laser MFP from Canon, esp when compared to my last two from Brother. I waited 60 days to review this Canon to get the full picture - I'll re-review if needed.
I am a value shopper - most bang for buck. Our application is home office. But we need color PowerPoints from time to time for Work. So it must produce sharp-enough presentations. We do not print photos. 60 day review in a nut shell:
1) Great price, very fast delivery from Best Buy!!
2) FWIW I'm done with Brother. Why? They retroactively, in a sneaky firmware upgrade, disallowed my machine to use 3rd party color toner anymore. Stopped working. Buh bye forever Brother.
3) Canon however does allow 3rd party toner!! Gemini helped me find best match and best deal CMYK $77. Also bought best value paper stock that would hold up to the color output from this new MF6560dw. Looks sharp - better than Brother.
4) Full color keypad is nice. You can also log into the machine IP directly (wifi) to set settings.
5) It copies and scans beautifully. I no longer have a need fax, but like it as backup (dr office?)
6) It's a big boy but I knew that going in. And like some of the reviews, when it's printing, lets say it's "not quiet". But it sleeps silently most of the time, so fine by me.
7) I had to use Canon SW install package to get it to work correctly the first time (not just Windows). I would say if Brother SW was an A, and Canon SW is B.
8) Front secondary media in front load works perfectly with Word to print normal business envelopes. Nice touch.
Conclusion: I'm more than happy with this purchase for us. If it holds up, and I just have keep it stocked with good toner and good paper? I'll be a new Canon printer customer for life.

I bought this copier when it was on sale, price was great. The quality of black and white printing is good and printing speed is fast, It took average 2.7 seconds (copier in sleep status) when I use AirPrint function. The quality of color print is acceptable, need to adjust many times to get the better results. Set up is easy but the printer APP not very useful.
The size of the color touchscreen display and the sensitivity is just right. I love the function of the two sides printing; scan and fax. Also comes with three years warranty.
If this copier comes with a larger volume (500 pages) paper tray, or option of selling one as accessory will be good idea.
Only issue of this copier is quite heavy.

First laser printer I have ever owned. I am avid crafter and I was in tears at the crisp clear images this printer produced. The black and white were crisp clear as well. Easy setup connection immediate and paired with phone.

Quality printer, definitely good for a small office. Scanning and printing is awesome. Bought this for its duplex scanning which is great for creating digital scans of my plethora of military records. Its just works and setup was easy. The extra piece that comes with the printer is a dust shield for using legal paper…no idea why they couldn’t tell you that.

So far so good. Bought for home office use for myself as well as many kid users also. AirPrint works well but takes time for discovery. Print quality is acceptable and decent clarity. Scans are clear. The desktop software interface could be more user friendly and isn’t truly intuitive for those who aren’t very tech savvy but if you are used to office based products then you should have no problem. My point of comparison is the HP software that I am using with my HP all in one device. I’m happy with the product however given that I bought it on sale for a good price compare to MRSP

Great printer. Excellent quality prints. Love the duplex printing & faxing. Also able to store scans into usb jump drive for backups. The drivers do not work well for wireless printing so I installed the drivers first & used windows setup to add the printer. Expensive toners but that is what lasers toners cost. Luckily I was able to buy the toners for $25 from off market brand.

Printer is user friendly with WiFi connectivity and the ability to print from any device…….no complaints so far. Ink cartridges are expensive but what isn’t in 2023.

Great medium volume printer. Excellent print quality and feature set for its price category. After initial setup which wasn't too bad or cumbersome very quickly comes realization that it is worth the investment. MF656Cdw prints fast and with flawless duplex print execution. By now 8 months later I have few thousands of prints, (probably 4K +) and had to replace all of the toner cartridges twice. The print quality is still great with no ghosting, smudges or jams. Not a single paper jam how is that for amassing? Love the universal single sheet tray as it is perfect for occasional label or sign printing. Scanner works good and it is perfectly sufficient for all business archiving, copying etc... Flexibility of storage and ability to print from or save the scan to flash or network drive is a definite plus. Fax function works good and it is probably an overkill quality for few order faxes a week. Now the bad: As usual its the cost of consumables such as toner that are entirely unreasonable and as an added insult is the threat of voiding the warranty if you use aftermarket toner. There is also a nagging prompt and misreporting of toner status that reports cartridges empty well before they actually are. It is possible to continue printing if you clear out the nag screen however some Mac computers will refuse to send a print job because the printer is reporting out of toner status! Another annoyance is that there is no indication of paper supply level until you run out of it (usually in a middle of printing an urgent report or other important document). Its annoying because it is would be very simple thing to provide a small vertical cutout on the tray that will let you see paper level. And finally, the machine has developed a slight whine in the past month or so when warming up and cycling the paper. Everything still works as it should but it may be a sign of future failure and i will have it checked. It could be just a excess toner and paper dust accumulation on rollers and drums that needs to be cleaned but we will see. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and so far I got everything I needed and wanted out of this machine. Cant wait for toner price to come down to earth as there is absolutely no justification for current pricing structure.

Very well packed, sides of the box fall flat to the floor so you don’t have to lift the printer up to get out of the box. Printer was very easy to install, toner was already loaded. Windows 11 laptops found the printer immediately and drivers were installed automatically without much fuss.
Compared to the Canon monochrome laser printer I replaced, which lasted over 15 years, this one feels like it’s made less rugged (flimsier plastic paper try, more clacky feeder, etc) but for home use it should be fine. I’m not in love with the LCD touchscreen…I much preferred the physical button panel of my old Canon printer, especially for making copies, but it’s going to be used primarily as a printer so it should be fine.
Toner is going to be a bit more expensive compared to my old printer. I’m not sure how well it’s going to tolerate after-market cartridges but I avoided buying an HP printer because they try to lock you out of using non-HP supplies.
Print quality is excellent as I expected.
Let’s hope this Canon lasts at least 15 years like my last one.

I love this printer so far. It was very affordable. Scanning and copying are very easy and intuitive, unlike the previous printers I've had. I was surprised to discover that it even does automatic 2-sided printing. It was very easy to set it up so anyone on my WiFi can print from a tablet, phone, etc. The only con was the terrible documentation, including the terrible PDF manual. Lucky for me, I went to the manufacturer's website to download their installer which did all the setup work for me. Otherwise, I could have very easily screwed up the installation.

My small Epson inkjet printer died and I’ve long wanted a color laser printer, so after much research, I bought this. Other reviewers complained that the ImageClass 656cdw is noisy. Well yes, that’s true, but not all the time. It was also tricky getting the scan-to-email function working, but a call to Canon finished the process. I love the duplex printing capability. It prints relatively quickly, and color printouts including photos are pretty good. B&W printing is excellent for a printer of its size and cost. So, despite the noise and setup challenges I still give it 5 stars.

Overall a good reliable printer however refill toners are a bit expensive side if you can find non-oem and work for you... then it could be great. I have a lot of docs to scan and works great. I would prefer a better software and management. Minor annoying thing is that all of a sudden from no where this machine would wake up and make some update as if it is printing something and someone has fired a print... while no one has and during quiet times its scary to some.

Excellent print quality. Fast printing in color or Black. Easy to install. Fair price. I had it installed wirelessly and working seamlessly to my MacBook Air in minutes.
