I brought it home and spend nearly two hours with the geek squad, trying to install it. I finally gave up and hard wired it. FIRST try at an odd size it jammed and would not let me go back to the old size. I have had it barely a month and it says I have an empty cart and won't let me even print black!!! I am taking it back and I hate it.

Printing is fast and efficient and the price of ink is very low.

I got this printer three months ago, and it reminded me of all the printer jokes from the 90s. 1. If you have a Windows Snapdragon, forget about it. There are no drivers, so you cannot scan. You can print using the LPD protocol, but no default print driver seems to work 100%. If you're printing a document with a header and footer, they will likely overlap with the content, rendering it completely unusable. 2. However, I have several computers, so I decided not to return it immediately. On my two other Windows computers, every time I need to scan or print something, I basically have to reinstall the driver for my PCs to successfully connect to it. 3. The mobile print capability is no better. If your phone manages to connect (after several reboots of your printer and phone), the result will be so badly formatted that you'll realize you've wasted 10 sheets of paper for half a page of content you wanted. Conclusion: I really regret buying this printer. My only hope is that Canon fixes the software eventually. Until then, pass on this one.

The first set of prints are good until you run out of toner. Once you run out, it is $400+ to refill your toner through canon. If you use a third party toner refill for half the cost, canon essentially bricks the software and will no longer adjust print quality. The software purposely hinders your print quality with the offbrand toner in attempt to get you to order canon toners. The cost to keep this machine running is not feasible for most people. We print 1000 pages/month. We would spend $2500/year on toner at this rate.

My Canon supertank printer just up and died with no warning with the dreaded 6004 error code. I don't print very much these days and letting the inkjet printers sitting around idle for sometimes weeks at a time doesn't seem to work out well because the nozzles get dried out/gunked up. I decided to go laser. This printer was the easiest printer install I've ever done. That alone stunned me as I was prepared for battle. This printer is very fast and the print quality is outstanding. I've also tried out the scan and copy features with the ADF. Both work great. The color printing seems to be a little off to me. There is an auto-correct color feature that I've not tried yet and this printing was done on cheap paper, not photo grade. I have it hooked up WI-FI and found that it will drop connection if you have it connected with DHCP. I believe this happens if your ISP sends you updates every night. Assigning the printer to a dedicated IP address within the router seems to fix that issue. The printer also has an ethernet connection to bypass any WI-Fi issues. Touchscreen is very nice and easy to read. Lots of special options in the touchscreen menu that I can't explain or begin to understand. Hands down, I think this is the best printer I've ever owned.

Never got item. Don’t order for ship. Only do got pick up. Customer service said it was delivered now I’m out of the money I paid with no item

I love this printer. This is very convenient at home. You can make copy, scan documents, and is able to connect to the WiFi. Good product, highly recommend it
