My Canon printer requires that I use all 5 ink cartridges. The larger black one lasts longer and is used up first before the regular 251 BK cartridge gets used. I print a lot of documents so that works for me. Quality of the print is good, but I noticed the cost of ink is getting more pricier.

The high yield cartridge holds enough ink so that it does not have to be frequently changed in normal usage. The ink is good the printing is clear and dark.

My experience has been better with Canon Printer Products and accessories than Epson, HP or Brother combines... so far. These high capacity black carts are of consistent quality, but I feel like they are marked up at least 200%. This is not Best Buy's fault as much as a consistent issue amongst the Ink Jet industry. Recommend, unless you can find the exact same thing cheaper somewhere else.

I was very glad to finally find this at Best Buy. (It was out-of-stock at Office Depot and similar stores.) As a bookkeeper, I have to print out a lot of reports, so I think the XL cartridges are a better option.

These Canon black cartridges seem to have a much higher yield than I experienced with HP cartridges, for several years. However, the Canon color cartridges have been close to worthless. I have the impression that either they are not filled correctly, or are some sort of counterfeit, or (most likely) dry out quickly whether lots of color printings are being made or not.

When it comes to my ink purchases I usually plan to purchase from BestBuy. Being a rewards member it helps to offset the retail price. Reward members appear to get a discount as well. With that and possible sale prices, this makes the price of ink much more reasonable.
Cartridge is of high quality and works every time.

I have used Canon ink cartridges of this series for a number of years and have never had a problem with them. It is best to purchase the XL version since it extends the amount of printing that can be done. before running out of ink.

If you're a Best Buy Rewards member, you know you save when buying ink. But when you buy the XL size cartridges, you save again - you can print even more between shopping trips! Canon is known for their cameras, and now for their printers and ink as well. Well worth it to get the XL size

it works just fine and it lasts longer than the standard ink pack.I definitely recommend the XL ,it delivers noticeably at least double what I was getting from the standard size. I recommend buying only brand name as it provides excellent results and the off brands can mess up your printer .

I buy the more expensive ink because I have had problems with bleeding and running with generic ink. Sure, ink is expensive to buy so I would rather spend my money on something that I know will yield quality than something I am not happy with.

This is a minimum review. If you are purchasing this item you already know the ink is better than refurbished, remanufacturered or refilled cartridges. The only part to review is the recommendation to buy the XL size. The amount of ink and yield justifies the price.

The Canon ink is of great quality. The ink cartridges are easy to install. The original ink cartridges last longer than the printer indicates. So use them until they are empty. There was a sale on when I purchased these. I ordered online then picked them up in the store. Great service.

Yes you can buy other non-Canon ink cartridges cheaper however the quality is awesome with this Canon ink and I've never had any issues with my printer when I use Canon ink. You may pay a little more but it's worth it!
