Excellent performance, great color copies, and easy for me to set up by myself. The Canon videos showed me exactly what to do. I definitely recommend this product. FANTASTIC.

I love my Canon PIXMA TR4720 Printer and Fax! I've had it for about a month now and have used it several times already. The fax works great and I love how it prints on both sides of the paper. The set up was super easy, and it does come with some ink it's like a sample cartridge, so when I ordered this I did order extra cartridges, of which I do recommend. I would definitely recommend this! Super Printer at a Great Price!

Canon TR4720 versus Canon MG5400 From 10 Years ago

I had a Canon MG5400 that I needed to replace after 10 years, and I decided to buy this printet. One can notice, in my opinion, how this particular Canon printer looks and feels cheaper than the one I bought 10 years ago. There are not many instructions at the setup website, so I had to dig through and find some YouTube videos to help me figure out how to set it up. It was a bit of a pain.
Make sure to save your power cord from your previous Canon printer because the power cord that comes with the TR4720, in my opinion, is just awful. It keeps falling out of the socket, and turns the printer off, which in turn can possibly damage the print head on the printer (so says the Canon manual for this printer).
I have the printer set up on a stout mahogany table, and the power cord still keeps failing to connect properly and shuts the power off. This means I have to set up the connection of the printer to the computer again to get the printer running, and download the software, etc. (A big pain). I tried used some Duck tape to tape the power cord in place but that also did not work.
If you don't own an older Canon printer, you're going to have to buy a better power cord because the one they supply you with, in my opinion, doesn't function well.
On the other had, once you solve that problem, the printer prints relatively well. It's a little bit easier to load paper into the TR4720 than in the old MG5400. The printer is substantially lighter than the MG5400 but has a cheaper feel and look in my opinion. It seems to be a little easier to replace the ink cartridges but I had to watch some YouTube videos to figure how to do that because I couldn't understand the startup website instructions (the instructions at the website are computer animated instructions; no voice).
I give the TR4720 two stars because of all the hassle I experienced to get the printer working; in my opinion, supplying a power cord that in my opinion does not work well is simply inexcusable. Canon, in my opinion, could make this particular printer a better product.

I absolutely love the printer, however, after a year it has started to make weird noises, has become impossible to find parts for, and cannot be replaced. It is easy to use, comprehend, and can do almost anything.
