My 11-year old daughter bought the camera with her Christmas money. It's easy to use and takes nice pictures.

I call my Canon - PowerShot Elph 170 IS 20.0-Megapixel Digital Camera 'small and powerful' because it fits in my pocket real nice, the battery appears to have a pretty good life, and it can do some amazing zooming. The only problem I have had is that even with the 'Red Eye' on i got some pictures that had red eye in them. I want to use the camera a little longer to see if it was something I did or it really is the camera. All in all a great little camera.

I purchased this camera to replace my previous Cannon camera. It is easy to use, slightly bigger and easier to hold one handed. All my previous accessories work with this one also.

You should already know what to expect when buying a camera this cheap. It is good enough for normal point and shoot moments and recording quick clips. I would recommend buying this camera for just regular everyday use. If you are trying to put a portfolio together that will get you a job working for a magazine or something, get something else =P

I was looking for a new camera and wanted one that easily fit in my pocket and had a good wide angle lens. This camera satisfies both those requirements plus it has a great zoom too. I use this camera every day in the Real Estate business and have been very pleased with the quality and durability.

I wanted a real camera for an international trip, but I did not want to rely on the phone camera. I did want to take decent pictures with minimal bells and whistles. I wanted to be able to take pictures on the run with decent speed and to be able to carry the camera in a small bag. The sales representative helped me to hone in on this one, and I really appreciate the choice. It is blue so stuck out in the bag, and it was lightweight and fit nicely into my daily small backpack. I was able to grab and go. And the pictures were clear and good quality (all mistakes were my fault! or the speed of the bus!). I made a good choice.
