Needed to upgraded our camera from 6 years ago. Looked for a good camera in the $100-$150 range. This camera does everything we need for taking a lot of pictures of our kids. Pictures are clear and bright if taken inside or outside.

This is a good little camera and takes wonderful pictures for its size and portability.

Used on vacation in Rome and was able to get some great shots of colosseum and vatican. Small size was convenient to carry and use. People liked the color of the camera.

I was looking for a gift for my wife to replace her 10 year old doorstop of a digital camera. This is perfect. Compact and not too expensive

Pictures are nicely pixilated however seems ro take longer between shots than I had hoped

Its a small reliable camera for on the go photos, small enough to keep in your pocket for that fast reach moment. Picture quality is average, image stabilization does an ok job and makes low light or moving photos a lot more clearer.

The Elph 170 is a great all-around camera providing great pictures as well as HD video. Easy to use. Just point and shoot!

It's a good camera with nice clear pictures if you're looking for snapshots. If you're looking to do live shots (of bands) then this camera just doesn't work that well. My phone camera isn't as high in MP but it's quicker. With this camera it's not really a true "point and shoot" because you have to pause and let it focus first. With my phone I can just point and shoot without having to wait. The stabilization doesn't seem to help much because without that pause for a few seconds the pictures are blurry. When doing live action shots, you can't afford to wait a few seconds between every picture.

Good camera, only draw back is that it feels cheap but takes nice pictures.

This camera works great in any condition. The ease of the settings is also a plus.

Great camera and great pictures. Very cheaply made. The opening for the battery and camera card are very flimsy. I feel I must be very careful when changing these or the openings will break.

This a great beginner's camera. It's also a good point and shoot camera.
