Great overall lens. I love the extra reach that it provides, and the focus is fast and accurate.
If you're shooting RAW you will need to add lens correction to your photos, but this is just 1 simple click. JPG's will automatically apply this in camera.
Overall a great walk-around lens that covers a huge amount of scenarios.
I have mine paired with the Canon R6.

Purchased this lens specifically for my trip to Antarctica. I was thrilled with the ease of using the many different settings & selections available with this telephoto lens!!! Obviously between all of the amazing wildlife, I was able to capture unbelievable pics of Adelie, Gentoo & Chinstrap Penguins; Killer & Humpback whales; Crabeater, Weddell, Leopard, Antartic Fur & Elephant seals; Dolphins as well as multiple Seabirds! And of course pics of all of the stunning sea & landscapes as well! Being able to capture the beauty of the oceans & truly magnificence of Antarctica on my camera using this lens, I will always be able to share some of my memories from my adventures!!!

I bought the RF 24 to 240 zoom lens for my EOS R series Canon digital camera. I have found this to be a handy, versatile lens for taking most photos. I had a great time taking photos at the tulip farm right after I bought this lens. Takes good basic close ups and distance photos. The zoom is not powerful enough to get a good photo of the moon. You’ll need a more powerful lens for that.

RF glass, specifically non-L RF glass is very much the successor to the EF and EF-S mount glass. This 24-240 is a versatile kit lens that has its sweet spot in the 50-105mm range but can perform well at the 24mm as well as the 240mm spot. Vignetting at 24mm is not a problem with JPEG, and if you shoot RAW you'll know what to do.
The Lens hood, even though depicted, does not come with the lens.

This lens is one of three that I utilized with the R6. For the price it provided a good level of sharpness and versatility for the range that it covered.
The lens itself is a little large and a bit heavy, but for the range it covers it was worthy sacrifice.
The lens did a good job switching between photos of the family and video work. The overall ease of use was simple enough for anyone to pickup and use.

It doesn’t come with the hood despite the picture.
It seems to be a decent lense. As other mentioned, you’ll need to do post process the images (using lense profile) if you shoot raw. Look for YouTube reviews, they show what kind of problems are solved by that post-processing.
Also, according to one of reviews it is not weather-sealed.
But overall it is great for travel, or other conditions when you don’t want to carry other glass you may have.

This is an excellent, very versatile lens for a lightweight, all-in-one kit. It covers a range from wide (24mm) to telephoto (240) with fine sharpness and color. You probably would still want wider-angle or super-telephoto for some situations, but this is a lot easier to carry around for everyday general purpose photography.
I give it 5 stars, as I think it is an excellent buy for most photographers.

This is a perfect lens for travel. After having used it now for one week, I am pleased. Albeit not an "L" lens, I found the range from 50-135mm to be outstanding at f8. This is a lens I am quite pleased with and would purchase again.

The RF lenses are amazing. This is a great, versatile lens if you want to zoom in a bit more than the 24-105. The 24-105 is my favorite but I use this one for sight seeing. I'm in love with the RF lenses, overall, and can't wait until they make more. That being said, the EF to RF lens adapter is genius. You definitely want one of those so you can use your EF lenses with your RF camera.

Love the lens, purchased the shroud for it and am just getting it tested for outside usage in daylight. Canon makes Great lenses, and the RF has great options to cover all forms of usage. Price wise it is far better to use this lens than and adapter plus and EF lens with the similar room features.

Good lens for the price, there is a horrible amount of vignette at 24 mm when shooting stills, I remove it when importing to Lightroom, other than that, the glass is good, very versatile lens for shooting on the go.

I bought the R with the 24-105 f/4 and found myself on a couple trips just wishing I had more reach. I don’t like changing lenses in the field so this will help. I read a number of reviews and they all point at needing to use digital correction.

This is a no brainer for someone who doesn't like to carry too much of camera gear. If you take a lot of photos outdoors, in the sun, on trips and hikes and want to carry only one lens then this is it. It has a black vignette at 24mm on raw files but that can be easily corrected in post using the lens profile adjustment. Excellent lens for it's price and functionality.
