Most Versatile Lens Ever!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens has been on my wishlist for a while now and I was able to save up and buy this beast finally. This is my go to and most versatile lens for everything. I use this with Canon R8 for photography and video during the day. However for night photography and video I use RF 35mm 1.8 that works really well at night. These two lenses are always in my backpack. The only cons of this lens is that it’s pretty heavy as compared to other lenses I have. But you get what you pay for the quality is incredible.

Super great and Super expensive.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best Canon 24-70 you can get. The auto focus is quiet enough for video and the IS is amazing. I had the Tamrom 24-70 VC non-G2 and am comparing the two. Obviously the RF is better. The Tamron did not work well doing video and was too loud while autofocusing during video. Now I took off one star for the price. It's just not THAT good. I also preferred this lens over the 28-70 due to the price and weight since I want more versatility. Let's hope Canon doesn't raise the price of this one even more!

Great lens, always on my camera!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing image quality, rugged and durable build, and very easy to use. The lens has a very solid feel, right down to the focus and zoom rings. They turn with just the right amount of effort. 24-70 is a very versatile focal length and the 2.8 aperture is fast enough to perform well in low light environments. Only a few things hold this lens back from perfection: the annoying mount-side lens cap, the aperture size, and the price. The RF lens mount-side lens cap standard is frustrating. There is only ONE way for it to slot onto the lens correctly and it is very hard to find while you’re balancing another lens or your camera in your other hand. The other two issues are considerations that always come up. Of course if I could have this lens in F1.8 it would be better. Additionally, if it was cheaper I would be happier too, who wouldn’t? To summarize this lens is great, if you can afford it you won’t regret it. This lens is an apex performer that is a must for professional photographers using RF cameras.

A little bit disappointed at this lens
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from EF 24-70Lii, which was my favorite lens because of its superb optical performance. The major reason I wanted to upgrade is it claimed to have nearly slient focus, which I think is very import for my video work. However it disappointed me at this point. It is Not 100% slient in video at all. Yes it's still much better than EF version for video, but when you shoot close up object, you may hear focus sound very clearly, which is not found at RF 15-35mm lens. So if you want to shoot video, use that lens instead. The other bad point is the weight, it is even heavier than EF24-70+Adaptor Ring. Ok, I know this version has stablization so I forgive you, Canon. But the focus noise is something I can't bear with it.

The holy one
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Fantastic lens. You can do almost anything with the 24-70mm involving people and landscape. If you are only had to buy one zoom lens for people photography, this would be it. Cons: It’s a bit heavy and that is a downside. The locking mechanism only works when the lens is fully retracted.

Amazing lens!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome lens, incredibly sharp. Only downfall is using the lens in af servo. In what I would consider decent contrast situations, the lens fails to focus.
