This is the most amazing product from Google l've owned yet. I purchased this initially to upgrade my older Chromecast. Everything about this "Google TV" is 1000x better than what I owned previously. I can now view my content in 4K which the older model could not do, and it has a great interface. It's Android 10 over the Google TV UI, and it's pretty appealing. I can easily ask Google to find something particular to watch and it'll do it. This thing wil search movies across different apps to find exactly what you're looking for. What makes it even better is that it still has it's cast function. so you have the option to use the Google TV remote or cast from your Android phone like normal. I was hesitant at first, and I wish 1 had mad this purchase sooner. You can even control all your google connected with the remote included. For example I use my Google Home to control my AC, but I can also with my remote in hand tell the Google remote to turn the AC on or off, and it does it. Even quick than my home can which is pretty neat. If you were ever indecisive about buying this device then I hope this review helps you. You're gonna love this Google TV.

I’ve used plenty of steaming devices but google seems to surpass everything. It has a very clean interface and its connectivity is immaculate. The only con is that if you’re wanting something easy to open developer privileges to, this isn’t the device to do that with. Chromecast is a straight forward WYSIWYG, open it up set it up and you’re good. If you have other google products this pairs with them perfectly.

More than I expected. Ive been using a Chromecast since it first came out. I was happy with casting from my phone because I only used it for Netflix. Now that I am moving into dull streaming I needed a better interface. I went with Google because I'm used to it and was not disappointed. It makes going from app to app simple and easily pulls all your services onto 1 screen. It's not 4k but I don't have 4k TV's so I didn't need that. If you are looking to upgrade and older tv and make it smart, this is the device you need.

This is a nice ans quick easy to make any dumb TV smart. And the best part is that if you only have a 1080p TV you only need a 1080p stream so this is perfect for that. I like Android tv and i think this is a nice product. It could be a bit snappier and i wish i could remove the for lack of a better words ads/bloat on the homescreen. But they do give you a quick wya to get to youtube and Netflix ( yes i know its not customizable, but its what i use it for mostly so its nice ). And its way nicers than the Chromecast tha was there before that only allowed casting.

Man I saw this was on sale for $20 so I said I'll get another one cuz I have the 2nd Gen already but I saw this comes with a remote control that easily (and I mean easily) connected and control my TV power and volume. Set up was a bit longer than expected but once it was up and running, man this thing is like having a Roku and a fire stick all in one. U can download apps sign in, your screensaver can be images from your Google photos which is great for family display. It will turn ya TV off automatically when idle thru settings. Trust me with this there's no need to spend extra cash buying a whole new Smart TV.

Second time purchase for me. In my opinion, this is the best streaming device if you have YouTube TV (YTTV). YTTV is Google, and this device has the option of you "pre-programming" the YouTube button to YTTV for a seamless connection every time. The interface is easy to understand, and have never had an issue with my first device after 2 years' time, so I went and got another one for our summer home. I have a Roku on a second bedroom TV and "eh," it just doesn't work as flawlessly. Have an Apple TV device on another set, that although it is pricey, it works great, but for the price of this device (Chromecast with Google TV), it was a no brainer when I wanted to purchase another streaming device. Go for it!

Chromecast with Google TV (HD) was the right choice for the normal HD TV I have. This helped to seamlessly use the regular TV as a Smart TV. It has a user friendly interface, voice control and a simple setup process. Remote is bluetooth hence it doesn't require directly pointing at the device which is a big advantage. It has dedicated buttons for YouTube and Netflix. Only downside is too many recommendations or suggestions which sometimes feels irrelevant and too crowded. Performance sometimes feel little laggy over the time of usage.

We bought this in order to stream our Meta Quest Occulus through our living room TV (LG doesn't support chromecast). It does it's job well. Easy to use, easy interface, and simple remote.

Bought this because my old chromecast died after like 5 years. This is such an upgrade! The interface is like roku now. Every streaming service is now integrated. And the best part is that the remote has audio controls. Just speak in what you want to search and it’s so accurate at detecting what you said. Definitely worth it.
