The shape and function of the mouse are great. DPI is completely adjustable through Icue software, responsiveness is great, and accuracy is very good. The rechargeable battery leaves much to be desired, as it's operating time is much less than expected. Be ready to charge it every day - more than once for very long sessions. Plugging in the charging cable causes some games to minimize and always reverts to default DPI. A minor annoyance made less minor by the frequent recharges needed. If left idle for what seems like a rather short period of time, the mouse goes to sleep. Waking it takes somewhere around five seconds, which can seem like quite a while the fourth ot fifth time in one sitting when not actively sitting. Were I not being picky about keeping as many peripherals in the same family as possible, I would likely go back to my logitech G602.

Considering it's an rgb mouse it will last about a week on a single charge. I do use it alot for gaming. I've never had one before so it's taking some getting used to but overall it's been really solid. If you can stomach paying around $80 for a mouse you'll enjoy every penny out of it.

Purchased this mouse from BB a few days after its release, so far I love the response (quick change of DPI) and the overall tactile feel of the mouse is amazing. The right-click is actually quite loud, which was irritating at first but I got used to it quickly.
4/5 stars as there are still some bugs with the firmware. I have had to update the firmware for the mouse every day since purchase and it constantly loses connectivity (due to the firmware updates, not the function of the mouse) and my color profile will not stay- again, due to the firmware updates.
Overall- would recommend. Hopefully Corsair gets the firmware set sooner rather than later.

Rechargeable mouse, so you don't need to be changing out the battery. Its RGB lighting makes it look nice. Comes with 3 different settings, but you can change those setting to your desire.

Great gaming mouse, Corsair make a winner!

Well Corsair finally made a gaming mouse that looks and feels as good as it works. This is a high precision mouse with RGB lighting. The Rainbow mode has ever changing colors but if you have a favorite you can set it to that color. There is no noticeable heat in the palm area from the corsair logo.
Weight and Size
This mouse is on the heavy side, I really like that! The weight gives stability and improves fine movements. The size is perfect for my hand which I feel is average size. This mouse has a thumb rest on the left side and swap-able magnetic panels one without a rest and one with it for the right side.
Buttons
The scroll wheel has excellent feedback and the click pressure on all the buttons are heavy enough to prevent accidental clicks but not so heavy that it prevents you from clicking when required. There are additional buttons to the left of the left click button that can be programmed for anything you desire. On the left side there is a three button pad with a sniper button in the middle and a forward and back button. The sniper button lowers the DPI to allow better aiming of weapons. There is a button behind the scroll wheel that changes your profile or anything else you program it to do.
Software
The Corsair utility engine (CUE) is a comprehensive utility that allows you to change almost every setting you can think of on this mouse including the RGB lighting color and patterns. It is really complicated and difficult to use. I finally figured it out but it is not very intuitive. Hopefully Corsair will continue to work on CUE to make it more user friendly. Pre-built profiles for popular games would also be a great addition. Of note there is an active user forum to discuss and find solutions for many games and applications.
Charging
This mouse will last all day with heavy usage. Charging is accomplished with the included long USB A to micro USB that doubles as a wired connection. This mouse is also Qi wireless charging compatible! You can buy a Qi charging mat ($15-$40) and never have to plug this mouse in to charge. The Qi charging is slow but it will charge the mouse overnight.
Overall this is a great mouse for gaming and graphics/media use. In my hand it is the best feeling mouse I have owned.

Wired or Wireless Competitive Edge
|

---SETUP---
The setup of the Corsair wireless mouse was simple. It has a rechargeable battery that needs to be fully charged before wireless use. After plugging it in out of the box, the mouse was fully charged in 35 minutes. My PC automatically recognized the mouse peripheral and began to install the drivers for functionality. After that, I was able to use the mouse.
---FEATURES---
The key feature of this gaming mouse is that it has 9 programmable buttons. Some buttons have features that can give you the edge in a multiplayer match. For example, there is a sniper button, which causes your crosshair in a match to slow down for precision shooting. The maximum dots per inch (DPI) is 16000, perfect for that quick aim in shooters. This mouse also has a magnetic attachment that can make it easier for southpaw gamers to use the mouse. There are three options for using your mouse, wired, wireless with the included 2.4 ghz wireless receiver, and wireless via bluetooth.
---PERFORMANCE---
The performance of this mouse was great. I tested all three options and couldn’t notice a significant difference between the wired, 2.4 ghz, or the bluetooth connectivity. I still prefer the wired option but don’t be afraid to go wireless. The first game I tested with this mouse was a third person shooter called Darwin Project. I re-programmed the buttons in the mouse to be able to run, chop for materials, and construct several of the perks. I felt like it did improve my abilities in-game, as I was fully aware of all the buttons I needed to press without the guesswork from the keyboard. I also tested this mouse with a more fast-paced game like PUBG. Again, I couldn’t tell a big difference in using the mouse with a wire, with 2.4 ghz, or with bluetooth. Mapping the buttons on the mouse to the more commonly pressed items really helped a lot, though.
---EXPECTATIONS---
The product meets my expectations. So far, the mouse has been a great asset to the enjoyment of my game. The only downside for me was that if you are using the mouse wirelessly, then the mouse doesn’t automatically turn off together with your computer. It’s not something that you should be concerned about if you plan to use it wired, but if your not used to using a wireless mouse, then expect to add one more little routine post-gaming and flip that off switch.
---VALUE---
The price for the mouse in terms of value is competitive compared to other mice in their category.
---APPROVAL---
I recommend this product for gamers who play mostly shooters and want a competitive edge, especially is you main snipers. I also recommend this product for people who want to free up a USB device (their current mouse) and go wireless (via bluetooth). You won’t be disappointed.

Corsair Dark Core is precision master while having a ton of features at a low price for gamers. I am extremely pleased with the Dark Core ergonomics, honestly, the soft touch materials combined with the comfortable shape that fits in the hand perfectly is always nice to touch. You can tell this mouse was made for very long sessions of play. I played PUBG and Fortnight hours without feeling like the mouse was uncomfortable due to the textured surface of the mouse. Clearly, this was designed for maximum comfort and support. You can set up the Dark Core through Bluetooth or you can use the 2.4 GHz adapter that's included.
There is a total of 9 whopping buttons on the mouse that is programmable giving you tons of buttons in one spot. There is onboard profile storage for lighting effects, Macros, and DPI settings. if you looking for a good gaming mouse this is it. As a Gamer, there is one thing you would be worried about and that's battery life. The battery life does last the 24 hours it advertises or near it. Performance for PC games is out of this world. The mouse is rated at 16,000 DPI in sensitivity and 1,000Hz polling all of this is going through a 1 ms 2.4GHz wireless connection. Let me tell you that all of this is good and you would never lag behind because if the mouse at all. every inch you move with precision especially with games like CS:GO. Personally, it feels just as good as wired gaming mouse.
Other goodies this controller have is RGB colors that change on its own, It's also bright popping with colors. You can use a Qi mat for wireless charging, Corsair MM1000 Qi is their own mat that can charge mouse (and phone) while you use the mouse. I don't have this but certainly something I want to try later in the future. Overall Corsair Dark Core has delivered on one of the best wireless gaming mice I've ever used. The price is nice, Tons of buttons, RGB lights, good performance, great design, Qi Wireless...It's so much to the mouse at the pice that it is how can you pass it up? If you game on PC this is a must-have.

One of the best gaming mouses I've used

I recently had the chance to try out the CORSAIR - DARK CORE. If you're looking for a quick answer for this mouse, it's one of the best mouses for gaming. I have both a PC and a Mac. Game on the PC and edit video and photos on my Mac. I've found the mouse very useful for both. Let's start off with out of the package, in the box you get the mouse which as a built in battery, a very nice braided micro USB cord, a micro USB adaptor and a interchangeable right side wing plate; its like a ring and pinky finger rest. My cubical mate I found this interchangeable wing plate very comfortable, you did have to let you 2 remaining fingers drag against the mousepad or desk. The wing plate is magnetic so it easily snaps into place with ease. The built in battery is very convenient, with other mouses and trackpads I'd have to change out the battery every once in a while which if you're into saving the environment horrible. With the built in battery I could just plug it in for the night and let it charge. The RGB lights are a plus it matches my Gaming keyboard.
For the gaming segment of this review, I like the buttons and functionality and it's AWESOME that is has up to 16,000 DPI, I use all these DPI for both gaming when I'm just sniping and also when I'm photo editing. with my older mouse had up to 4,000 DPI which was nice but I needed more when editing photos. Gaming was buttery smooth with the Dark Core and I found most of the added buttons very useful. I didn't notice any lag as i did with some other wireless mouse. this is one of CORSAIR's marketing points. this is easily my new favorite mouse!
Now for the not so good of the mouse, you can use this with a Mac and photo editing works great but other support like through software programming, CORSAIR doesn't really have support for it. On the other hand PC, you can download the user interface for it from CORSAIR's website. Bluetooth with my mac is a bit of a problem so I have to use the USB adaptor. I've heard of other people having issues with connectivity.
Overall, I like this mouse very much and I'd be confident recommending it to anyone looking for a gaming mouse or even a mouse for photo editing.

Comfortable, Cool Look, Mostly Good

Good: This mouse is comfortable for long sessions and is convertible to two different physical configurations so you can choose your preference.
There are also three different button configurations that you can choose from and they are all customizable and saved on board so you can take them along anywhere with your mouse.
The RGB colors are nice looking and are also somewhat customizable. A lot of gaming rigs have colored lighting effects but come with a standard mouse, so this mouse would be a good upgrade in such cases.
The mouse can be used via Bluetooth with the supplied dongle plugged into an open usb port on your rig, through 2.4 gHz wi-fi or through a braided usb wired connection (supplied).
Bad: I've experienced strange pointer movements with this mouse, even when using the wired connection. I've had on screen drifts and pointer jumps, and I've also experienced some left clicks that didn't register. These haven't been frequent, but have happened enough times to make me wonder what's going on. My standard mouse has been more accurate than this one as far as not messing up (but it doesn't have nine buttons).
Overall this is a good mouse with nice, flexible features. Hopefully the performance issues I've had will be minimal.

I really like the look and feel of this mouse. The semi-rubber like texture on top and where your thumb rests feels good and snug in your hand. All of the 9 buttons feel secure and respond well when you click them. The LED lighting effects are pretty neat as well. You have three options on how to connect this mouse. You can use either the included 2.4 GHz dongle, BlueTooth, or the USB cable that is included. The battery only lasts 24 hours, so if you are gaming alot, I recommend using the USB cable, its actually a really nice cable that is wrapped in woven type material. The sensor that is inside the mouse is super fast and responsive and works on most surfaces. My glass desk was fine for it, but I generally use a mousepad. They have included an additional winged tip for your pinky finger that just attaches via a magnet. Pretty slick. I found the software to be super clunky and not very user friendly. I found that there was a firmware update that I had to do, but even that was a pain. You are supposed to be able to create different profiles for color schemes, dpi settings, button settings ect., but I have not been able to export them to the mouse. There is no clear cut way to do that as far as I can see. Also, the profile settings will not work via BT, only the USB or dongle option. Overall, its a nice mouse and I plan on using it for more than just gaming, but I do love the sniper button to help steady my shot when it counts the most!

This mouse is back-lit, and can change to match the Corsair keyboard I bought with this, with muti-colors or a single color. it also feels great, with the slightly non-slip but very smoth feeling surface under where your palm goes. The addtional finger rest you can add to the right side makes using the mouse very comfortable, as no part of your hand needs to rest on the non-mouse surface. Using the Corsair software, it is very customizable, and very accurate, with very high DPI capability and adjustibility. I replaced a Logitech G700S gaming mouse with this one, and I like it better in general, both in looks and operation. The only con I have is there were more customizable buttons on the G700S, and they were a little easier to actuate, since they stuck up higher off the mouse. I also miss the ability to move horizontally using the right/left rocker capability of the G700S's scoll wheel.

Solid mouse. Really comfortable to use with my giant hands. Works fine out of the box, but when it comes down to customization...starts getting a bit buggy. The mouse itself is fine, but the software associated needs work. Can definitely use this for long sessions no problem, so long as your mouse pointer isn't jumping around the screen.

I really like the weight and feel of this mouse. The lighting is awesome. It stays charged for days depending on how much lighting you want. It is easy to charge and I keep the cable plugged in and ready in case I need to charge it. I like the fact that I can continue to use it while charging. Simple to use, just plug in play. Don't need any software for it to work. Adjustable DPI and side grips and nice lighting effects. I find it very comfortable in the hand, but it may be a little large for those with smaller hands. Not to mention that it's wireless, so no more visible cable. It has very good range as well.

I grabbed this mouse because i personally like heavier mice. I didnt want to leave a review right away, so i could actually get a good feel for it.
This thing rocks. Great battery life when off the cable. But I primarily have it hooked up. This thing is a little on the heavy side, but thats what i like for more precision.
Only downside, is of course ICUE. But its slowly getting better.

I bought my mouse over a year and a half ago and it is still providing an unrivaled gaming experience! I love this mouse because I honestly feels like I have won so many more games with it! It has a very strong feel to it and does not feel flimsy at all, yet it is so light that I can set the sensitivity controls super high and feel as if I am gliding on air to my next headshot! There is no wireless latency which I really appreciate and the pulsating colors are just magical.

To begin, if you want the closest thing to a wireless G502 in terms of ergonomics, this is it. It fits palm users well, and has a pleasant soft-touch rubber finish on a few of the surfaces. It also has onboard storage, so you dont need to install iCUE on every system you want to use RGB on. This is a blessing, because the biggest problem with this mouse, and really any modern RGB peripheral, is the software. Corsair, Logitech, Razer, all of them have abysmal softwares that are buggy, forget settings, and will switch profiles at random. This is inescapable and is present is all brands. I just wish it wasn't here. I have set macros to do PTT on this mouse but the software and mouse forget it time and time again. If it worked right it would get a full five stars, but for now it is a massive headache to work with, and results in what I feel is an incomplete product.

The build quality is amazing, although it is a little heavy but I like heavy mice but that is because the mouse does not feel cheap.
There is no lag at all while connected through the 2.4ghz adapter. I have not yet tried it with bluetooth but the mouse is great. Has two RGB lights, the logo and the middle mouse wheel for the extra kick.
