Solid mouse for both righties and lefties

I bought this mouse for $20 and for that price I think it was a steal. The mouse is solid for my every day use but also has style and features that the gamer in me appreciates.
At a quick glance, the M55 RGB PRO is more traditional looking than most gaming mice. It is smooth and symmetrical (meaning both sides are the same if you cut it down the middle) so it will work great for both left and right handers. Tip: to switch to left handed mode (without using software), hold the 2 left side buttons for 5 seconds and wait for 3 flashes of the Corsair logo light. To switch back to right handed mode, hold the 2 right side buttons for 5 seconds.
The mouse is plug-and-play on my Windows 10 computer. I just had to plug one end of the 6ft braided USB cable into an available USB 2.0 or 3.0 port and the mouse was ready to go. However, to take full advantage of all the features the mouse has to offer, I had to download and install the iCUE software from Corsair's web site. With it, I was be able to customize buttons, LED lights and travel sensitivity (dpi). The software can be frustrating hard to use at first but I stuck with it and reaped the benefits.
The mouse is lightweight and fit comfortably in my medium adult hand. The button clicks felt responsive and effortless. The wheel was quiet and did not rattle. The side grips are textured plastic that I actually prefer over rubber that tend to scratch and get dirty easily. On the top side of the mouse, just below the wheel is a small DPI LED indicator light and below that, a DPI button for cycling through 3 to 5 sensitivity presets that can be customized in the software.
Going from using wireless mice for a couple of decades, I had concerns about the cable getting in the way of movements but I had not noticed any tuck or pull from the flexible cable. Overall, I have been every happy with the M55 RGB PRO.

This mouse is a great size with ambidextrous forwards and backwards buttons that are configurable in the Corsair software that toggles which side the buttons work for right and left handed people. Out of the box the DPI switch has a wide range across the 5 presets but this is configurable in the software along with rgb logo.

This mouse has a few caveats. It works for what it's supposed to... only if you unplug it and plug it back in every single time you power up your PC. Whether I'm using my case's USB ports, the ports on my motherboard, or the USB passthrough on my Corsair keyboard, none of them want to let this mouse work properly unless it's been unplugged and plugged back in. The mouse is light and has minimal RGB, so minimal that I debate on whether the extra price that was inevitably added for it was even worth it. The DPI button is nice but only single, meaning you have to click multiple times to cycle through it. The buttons on each side can be enabled or disabled through iCue, considering trying to activate the right side buttons since I have yet to even accidentally click them whilst gaming.

Good mouse good price

I got the mouse on sale for only $30. The mouse is definitely worth the price and I like it way better then other razor mice. I have had it for about 2 weeks now and no problems have yet occurred yet. The one thing I am a bit mad about is that at the top of the mouse it shows no gap in between the two sides and also the way the wire is going out. You can clearly see a difference in the pictures.

Pretty good, one small quirk

Mouse feels great, and left and right hand options are great. The one thing I hate is that the software is required to change the lighting. The default pattern is always RGB and it will show RGB on logo while booting before the Corsair software loads.
It's a minor quirk, and if you're like me who owns Corsair things, it's fine. It's just stupid to require the software to change it. It wouldn't be so bad if the default setting weren't so extra.
But this thing feels great. The plus side outweighs the negative.

The CORSAIR M55 RBG PRO Wired Optical Gaming Mouse is a great mouse that balances price (if it's on sale) and quality. The mouse itself is pretty light, so you don't feel like you need to use any strength moving it around. The RBG light effect is a nice touch and you can adjust the color in the software that goes with the mouse. I purchased this mouse when it was on sale, and I have to recommend to only purchase this mouse when it is on sale. Otherwise, I would find it too expensive.

Very responsive to touch and easy to use. It is lightning speed response is so helpful when I am video gaming. I am very happy with this purchase. My only problem is that it is always lit up. So when I am trying to sleep at night it does bother my eyes. Other than that, it is a very good mouse.

2 month review.
Simple plug-and-play. Corsair's iCue software is reliable. Mouse itself has responsive buttons. Construction feels solid. Braided cord is the best feature. RGB lighting functions as spec'd. Solid mouse tracking.
Doubles as blunt object to smack against home intruders.
Tyr and Thor smile upon its lighting effects.
Odin can be heard laughing in the distance.
Can recommend.

I bought this mouse for some light gaming. It works fine; it has two extra buttons on each side. When in standard mode, the right side buttons are off by default, though they can be enabled.
The Corsair ICUE software is not the most intuitive, but it is pretty easy to set up multiple profiles for different games.
In terms of use, it works well. It is easy to adjust the sensitivity on the fly with the dedicated button. That said this is not a weighted mouse. Compared to a higher end gaming mouse, it is very light. The weight is not adjustable (no removable weights to fine tune the feel).
I could see wanting a few more buttons to map and increased weight, but for what I paid, it is a very good mouse and much better than the non-gaming mouse I was using before.

I use this mouse daily for gaming. The side buttons on both the left and right side are amazing. The iCue software offers good customization, the program does need to remain open in the background for some macros to work. Shape and weight are also great.

Easy configuration and customization. Only issue I've had is sometimes the mouse doesn't turn on upon PC boot-up, but that's easily fixed but unplugging and replugging the USB into the PC.

The M55 RGB PRO is priced very well and you will be getting more than you would expect.
Besides the simple yet nice RGB, the mouse feels natural in your hand, even if you have larger hands.
The cord quality is nice, I doubt there will be any tears. The cord is also long and comes with a velcro strap if you need to manage it to prevent a mess.
The programable buttons on each side are definitely worth taking advantage of, right out of the box they come set up as forward/return making tasks as simple as browsing the internet a tad easier.
The preprogrammed cursor speeds are also worth checking out since they just add another great feature to the mouse.
Overall: great quality mouse for such a price, comfortable to hold and feels natural.
Yes I have not owned the mouse for a long time so I cannot review the durability, however if I were to guess I'd assume it will stick around for a while.

Price was great, and ambidextrous was a plus. The side buttons are handy, and the scroll has a good tactile feel. The mouse is a bit big, so it doesn't feel good to me using a claw-grip. However, if you prefer palm-gripping your mouse, it has a good feel.

I went to the store looking for something similar and price range, ended up spotting this gem and grabbed it off the shelf with zero hesitation. You can’t beat the style, quality and price of this mouse. After I plugged the mouse into my laptop the operating system recognized it right away. The mouse then lit up with awesome rgb color and at that very moment I knew without a doubt I had made the right purchase.
This feels very comfortable in your hand and glides over a mouse pad like butter. Extra buttons for binding etc. or whatnot is an added bonus. Right click - Left click buttons sound good and confident when in use, does not annoy me if I need to be constantly clicking on something.
