I purchased this Crucial X9 1TB external USB-C SSD. I gave it to Geek Squad in Best Buy for this service to be performed. It is a month later and it's working just fine. The backup went fine, too.

I still use other SSD drives to edit as a part of my working flow but this one is small and allows for plenty of storage space.

Holds all my photos, videos, and even a couple games and will still run the games cause the transfer speed is so good. Get one while you can.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We’ve purchased 2 of these so far, they are pretty good with fast writes on USB-C computers – speeds on USB-A 3.1 (rectangle plug) computers are slower, as to be expected. The one thing I found is that you *must* use the OEM manufacturer-included cable with an intermediate USB-C to USB-A adapter if using with USB-A computers. If you try using a 3rd party USB-C to USB-A cable, the drive won’t mount (at least on Macs). That said, we find the drives to work & perform well.
