The setup and initial use was super easy and smooth. I needed this for my new business, to allow me to keep all records in one place, not shared with my home computer.

Works great for adding fast storage to Mac or Macbook. Using for an M4 Mac Mini, and it was literally $100s cheaper than upgrading the internal SSD.

Is good, but could be better. Compared to my 2020 samsung t5 ssd. I feel like this could be faster. Especially moving data from my android phone to this ssd drive. It was noticeably slower than the t5 ssd.

Bought an X9 1 TB SSD (non pro version) from BB. Hooked it up to my 14" Apple MBP M1 Pro. Great write speeds as advertised (700 to 900 MB/s) until drive is filled up to approximately 270GB. Then the write speed drops permanently and hovers around 40 MB/s. I've tried exFAT and APFS file systems but the problem occurs regardless of file system. It's not an overheating issue either. There is a hard capacity limit of 270GB for the advertised write speed after which write speed performance makes the remaining capacity of the drive useless.
