This is basically the same M1 512GB MacBook Air as the standard model Best Buy sells, except it has twice as much memory. See those reviews as most apply to this, it is highly rated. I personally needed a system with extra memory to prevent from getting frustrated when things slowed down (typically when I was doing programming and had emulators open taking up 2GB of RAM each). I really did not want to buy a MacBook Pro and this CTO system was a nice, more affordable alternative. I am not a big mac/apple fan, but they have their good points. In fairness, I don’t really get excited about machines (like this one), they're tools and if they do their job, you don’t really notice anything special about them. Imagine writing a glowing review about a Phillips-head screwdriver. I would recommend this one over the 8GB model.

I have had this macbook for a while now, and would recommend it to any one that is looking for a great and powerful but slim and compact mac.

I love my new MacBook Pro. It’s the perfect size to take with me to work on my classes on the go. I’m currently working and getting my masters degree so it’s just the right size to pack in my bag when I’m transitioning from work to study. The battery has a long life and I don’t really need to worry about it’s losing it’s charge.

Quality laptop, but Apple's pricing is too high. I still buy their products anyway.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I purchased apple care, and Apple has no record of it. I have phoned 6 times to straighten it out, and Best Buy either disconnects me or sends me to another person who doesn't know how to help me. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A LAPTOP OR APPLE PRODUCT THROUGH BEST BUY.
