I haven't installed it yet but it looks like a high quality fan. My friend has one and I saw his perform and it did very well. He did mention that he had to replace the switch on top that raises the fan unit to operating height as it broke once. Reason for slow installation, is that due to space under slide in range, I had to order a Dacor remote 600 cfm blower and it has not arrived yet.
I would recommend this to a friend

do your homework before ordering this. It is not a true 30", so if you want it to align with your cooktop, be sure to check first. Also, it does state that you also need a motor, and were not told this. To add insult to injury, you need to order an adapter for the motor. Now we are waiting for the motor and adapter to arrive in 4 month so, that we can use this downdraft.
