I enjoy the 17.3" full HD screen and the backlight keyboard. The exhaust fan is poorly placed under the laptop and is noisy. The microphone for Cortana is not able to hear me well. Dell customer service is mostly from India and the first experience with the rep he was very difficult to understand.

Needed a new laptop and wanted to be able to watch DVDs, this was perfect. Easy setup, solid keyboard that lights up. Great quality. Solid, doesn’t look or feel cheap. Plenty of Storage space

When comparing laptops, notebooks, etc I found this one. It had everything I wanted. Camera, disc drive and it didn't have a touch screen. I really like it. I am finding it easy to use.

I've been in the IT business for 25 years and have seen every brand come and go. Except for Dell. They make quality hardware that lasts longer then their competition. This laptop has it all: speed, size, storage... and it looks good too. A no-brainer if you see it on sale.

This is about my 10th Dell laptop, and it is even better than previous ones. Love the 17" screen, and the speed.

This laptop is a perfect mid-range 17-inch laptop with the best balance of features you'll find in its price range. I can't speak to the performance with a hard drive installed because I immediately swapped the 1TB drive out for a SSD, but with an SSD this thing is FAST. I purchased this for an older college student that could afford a good ($500-$750 range) laptop rather than a "ramen muncher" budget computer and after hundreds of hours of use it has shown itself to be a perfect fit.

Like the larger screen. Also, love the underlit keyboard. Nice clear screen graphics. Speed also good.

I got this laptop to replace my outdated HP. I needed something that could handle Photoshop, multiple tabs open in a single instance of Google Chrome, and all around multitasking in general. This laptop more than surpasses my expectations and I'm extremely happy with it.

Both of us like to play video games together, and her previous laptop died on her, so I got her this one. It definitely gets the job done and we enjoy lag free gaming!

The large screen is great for reading email, news, etc.

The daily-use highlights of this machine are: backlit keyboard (two brightness levels), fingerprint reader login (very fast, non-swipe), huge screen for aging eyes, fan exhaust is in the center of the underside instead of over where the legs would be, fan is very quiet (haven't noticed it running yet), has good battery life, lots of storage, and it is quick enough for the average user. It is a great machine for the money. Setup was simple and quick as well without a whole lot of nonsense like some of the HPs that I have owned in the past. This is my first Dell and I am happy, so far. If I could change just one thing about it, I would eliminate the numeric keypad and move the keyboard and mouse to the center. I don't understand why manufacturers insist on including the numeric keypad on larger machines and some of us would rather have the keyboard and mouse centered and not have the keypad. Other than that, I am absolutely pleased with this machine. I do not game. I do a lot of surfing, researching, emailing, some mild pic editing, mild video editing, and store a lot of documents, photos, and videos. I hope it lasts a while as I really like this machine. This Dell laptop is excellent. It's fast, has an illuminated keyboard and has all the necessities. I also love the 17.3 screen. Highly recommended.

This is Dell laptop is replacing my (15) year old Dell desk top computer. Both are great computers, and I have a lot to learn using the new laptop.
