I was ready to pull the trigger on the i5 8GB version of this system, not knowing that the i7 12GB was available. Once I realized that for only $100 more I could have a faster processor and more RAM, I was sold.
CPU i7 vs. CPU i5:
There are very small differences between the two specs of these computer CPU's. But, when you look at the differences they are definitely worth the upgrade to the i7 version. Comparison testing shows that the i7 has a 15% faster turbo speed. This means when turbo speed is used (multiple applications, video, graphics) you will have better performance from the i7. Also, when comparing the CPU's on the famous and universally accepted 3DMark06 test, the i7 had a better score of over 40% from the i5. Programs that require more intensive graphic use will run better on the i7.
i7 12GB RAM vs. i5 8GB RAM:
A small increase but one that is definitely needed when utilizing performance related programs. Great when running multiple programs.
OVERALL:
This computer is used by the entire family. We require basic web browsing and Office program use, Adobe Photoshop along with some video editing, and video playback such as Netflix or Amazon Prime.
The system starts up fast but give it a good minute or so after Windows logs in for all services to properly get going. I found it best to keep the system running and let it go into sleep mode when not in use. Waking up from sleep mode is fast and all Windows services and processes are running smoothly.
I would highly recommend this system for anyone looking into an all in one computer solution.

This is really a great product for an all-inclusive desktop from Dell. With its current technology, you would be using this ultra-fast, efficient, sleek, beautiful computer for at least the next 5 years. And it was a bargain New Year's End Sale at BestBuy. So that's another advantage!

We purchased this self-contained Dell desktop to replace an unsatisfactory 15" tablet.
We love this computer.
The Intel i7 processor makes is very fast and the 1 Tb hard drive gives us the space to store all our photos.
Since the computer is contained behind the monitor screen it doesn't take up any more space than the screen.
This was a good buy for us.

This is my first all-in-one computer and I am enjoying it. It's fast, quality picture, the space saving aspect is great and this one in particular has a sophisticated look.
Setting it up was easy. We had to also add Microsoft Office because apparently computers don't come standard with that anymore (excel, word, etc...). What did take some researching was how to sign off and put to sleep or shut down, and how to retrieve documents saved and how to email the documents.
Overall, I am very happy with our purchase and with the Best Buy employee that helped us. This Dell computer had a better price and more to offer than HP.

I decided on this Dell Inspiron all in one after doing a lot of research on the most powerful, but reasonably priced, units on the market today. I felt that this Dell offered the most RAM, memory and processing speed for the price. I've had the computer for about a month now and have been very happy with it. It quickly zips between programs and reboots quickly. I no longer dread having to do computing work at home, which I used to with my former HP laptop. The screen is big and bright and the keyboard and mouse that come with the unit are both wireless and work really well. I cannot speak to how the touch screen works, as I rarely use it. I am very happy with my Dell and would consider purchasing another from this same company in the future.

My last computer was an iMac and it finally bit the dust so I had to decide between a new IMac or a Windows PC. I decided to go with this based on a few factors. The 24 inch screen is bigger than the 21.5 inch iMac and would fit under the computer hutch on my desk. 27 inches was too big so this is a great size. The glass screen is very reflective so it will pick up a lot of glare if you have it in a room with lots of light. It is also touchscreen which is a nice feature. iMac doesn't have it. It has built in speakers so you don't need to add external speakers, unless you want better sound quality. The bundled wireless keyboard and mouse are terrible so I bought a Logitech keyboard and mouse. There is a optical drive on the right hand side of the screen and two USB 3.0 ports, a SD card slot and headphone jack on the left hand side. I wish they put the USB 3.0 ports on the back of the computer because if you hook up an external drive the cable sticks out the left side of the computer detracts from the overall look of the computer. There are USB 2.0 ports on the back but the data transfer rates are much slower. The fan noise is louder on this computer compared to the iMac. The iMac was silent. On this computer, you will definitely hear the fans.
This computer isn't recommended for playing the latest games. It can play old 3D titles like Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 with good frame rates only if you lower the graphics quality.

I had (and am still having a very BAD, BAD experience with a Lenovo AIO-700 27ISH i7 purchase that crashes, black screens ALL the time, constant error messages - no satisfaction from Lenovo or Best Buy where purchased. Stay away from Lenovo computers!)...anyway, since I just spent $2000 on that computer and it won't work I had to go out and buy one that (hopefully) would. Since I didn't want to spend anymore than I had to to get a decent computer I settled on this Dell AIO 23. So far, so good. It works well with my graphics programs and while the screen is not as large as I would have liked I am happy to be able to work on my designs without having the computer lockup and crash on me. In my opinion this computer is reasonably priced, has good memory, large Ram and good processor. Works well with graphics programs. One error message after I first booted up but an update from Dell took care of that and it has performed well since. I would recommend this computer.

This review is for the i7 12 RAM model which came out fall of 2016. I have had this all-in-one for a month and so far I really like it. I love the large screen and the multi screen-views. I also like that the standard keyboard and touch screen combo, as well as the included optical DVD drive. I did find that there were a few differences in installing applications with a new Windows 10 versus one converted from Windows 7. I had problems syncing iOS mail, contacts and calendars with Outlook.
There are some tips that I wanted to pass along. First of all I would keep the box to pack and move the computer as the screen is somewhat heavy. The screen and stand are separate in the box and must be assembled (out of date assembly instructions came with it). This is simple if you know the 4 black Philips-head screws are already attached to the back of the screen. Take the small plastic panel off, unscrew and slide the base on and screw the screws to attach the base and then replace the plastic panel. I like the standard-size keyboard that came with the model, but you should know they are Bluetooth connected and operate through a half-inch dongle that goes into one of the USB ports. For a long time after unpacking the rest of the parts, I could not find the dongle as it was stuck into the side of the packing near the keyboard batteries. The other thing you might want to know is that after putting the system into sleep mode if would turn back on about 10 seconds later. I found that this was due to the fact that the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard had permission in the settings to wake up the computer. I turned those permission settings off and the computer stayed asleep.
I am reserving a 5 rating because I am still waiting to see how reliable this model will be (I have had other Dells and loved them) and how good Dell service will be this time around, but so far the specs compare very favorably with iMac which has no touch screen models and no internal optical drives, thus failed my wish-list.

Pros: This computer has an i7 processor that performs very well. I don't use it for gaming. I only use to do work from home. It has plenty of RAM (12GB) so I have not lagged yet even while multi-tasking. Windows 10 works the way it should. Screen size is excellent and is the best all in one that Best Buy had in the store. DELL still makes good machines.
Cons: Audio is not very good. It is sufficient for work apps but forget watching a movie without adding external speakers.
The keyboard and mouse are very basic and cheap BUT they work well for what I do.
If I was gaming or needed for Multimedia purposes I would have given it 4 stars. For a good computer that does not take up a lot of space and to work from home it is great.

I bought this all in one when it was on sale for 799.99. It was a gift for my father to replace his 2010 HP desktop. It was a definite upgrade as the screen dwarfs his old 16 inch screen and is much nicer at 1080p vs 1366 x 768. Decent start up speed, but not great. It takes about 25 seconds from when you start it to being able to use it. Movies and videos look really good on it. Lots more space for him to store pictures and docs with the terabyte hard drive. Bluetooth works well with the keyboard and mouse......very fluid. I can actually stand 20 feet away with the keyboard in my hands and it will still keep the connection and be usable. The computer looks great on his desk.....a nice clean look w/o all the wires or tower. He likes it.......he uses it mainly to read email, look at things on the web, play bubble shooting games, and make documents (we put Office 2016 on it....about a three hour process.....thank you Microsoft). So far he really likes it. Pretty good audio for the built in speakers too.

This product had a good review both in best buy and amazon. Yes agree has got some up to date features like intel 7, windows 10, touch screen, 2.8ghz processor, 1tb harddrive and 12 GB RAM. But it takes a long time to start up even though I just bought this PC and doesn't have much documents or applications installed. Microsoft edge and chrome crashes multiple times on start up. On top of that fan noise is so annoying. Overall has got some good features but I expect to be much better with these simple things for the money I paid for this PC.

The purchase of this PC was after a fair amount of research and visits to the store to compare it to other PCs. The other unit we considered was also a Dell PC, same size screen (23.8) and 1 Terabyte Hard drive and 8 gB of Ram. That unit has an AMD 8 processor, which is very good, but I had never had a PC with AMD before. The other thing we liked about this PC besides Intel I7 processor was the monitor stand. The other unit which costs a bit less than the sale price of this unit has a monitor that sits directly on the desk without a stand which makes it lower. So we opted for this one, It came with Windows 10 and I was familiar with that from using my Dell Laptop for about a year. The operation of this PC is excellent, it's fast and has accepted all of our programs for email, scanner, photo editing, printer, and the Microsoft office suite I purchased separately. They gave me a trial version Webroot Internet security, so I deleted the one month McAfee trail and installed the Webroot. This is also working out very well. As others have said the Keyboard and Mouse were not very good so we replaced them with another wireless keyboard and mouse combo. The other thing others have said and I agree takes getting used too is the fan noise, is a bit loud. The only other thing is that you have to get used to Win 10 filing system, I had a little more work with that so my wife which shares this PC with me can easily find her card and photo editing files and the files and folders we transferred from the old computer. Once you get that settled and learn how to navigate the system, it's fine.

I can't remember the last time I had a desk top, but I just started my own business. I showed the salesperson the ones I was interested in and per their recommendation and the information listed, I chose this one. I love it, it is unbelievably fast, the screen is big enough that I don't have to wear my glasses when working, it is easy to use, and I just can't say enough things about this great computer.

This was purchased by recommendation of the sales rep in the store. I wasn't looking to purchase a touch screen desktop but with all of the other features (memory, screen resolution, speed of processor) I was sold! It is a great computer that serves me well. I browse the internet, use Office products, listen to songs and videos, and plan to install Adobe products for creative projects. Highly recommend!

Bought this all-in-one computer to replace my old desktop. Far better computer than my old one. Very fast and easy to use. Takes up very little space Large screen and wireless mouse and keypad.. If you are tired of all the connections you need with a desk top computer you will love this all-in- one.
