    I’m a Barista!

    Pros mentioned:
    Coffee, Ease of use, Frother

I love espresso as I’ve felt it gives me that extra boost to my coffee experience in the morning. Regular coffee is great, but I’ve felt that my body has grown accustomed to that double-shot addition to my morning routine. I just didn’t want to spend $5 at the coffee shop every morning which adds up. Thankfully, I now can enjoy my espresso shots from home and that matches my budget. After a few weeks of usage, I am impressed with DeLonghi’s 15 bar pump. Pros: -Easy set up: this is my first espresso machine and wondered how easy/difficult it would be in brewing my own espresso. Set up was easy as you are given clear instructions to clear out first with water before using it. The included Portafilter comes with 2 different shot options (1 or 2 shots). The water tank holds around 35 oz of water. -Daily usage: pretty straight forward. You place the amount of espresso powder into the Filter, scooped up by the included Measuring Spoon and Tamper. I went straight for the double shot, using espresso fro Illy. Turing it on, you have to wait about a minute before you can switch the Nobel to the pouring stage. You do have to eyeball how much you want to dispense. Frothing was pretty simple task. Cons: -No Frothing cup or shot glass. I wished these were included in the box. If you want the full experience, you do have to go out and purchase these items. Otherwise, just a large espresso mug would suffice and pouring regular milk from the carton. -Portafilter cleaning: the filter comes out easily, which is both good and bad. I wanted to remove the used up espresso from the filter and thought I can just turn it upside down and shake the espresso out. Nope. The entire filter fell out. It’s best to just place it under running water and clean it that way. Again, wished they had a way to lock in the filter so you can easily empty out the espresso. Overall, this is a very basic espresso machine. It gets the job done and dispenses the espresso pretty fast. Meets my daily needs which is the most important factor.

I absolutely love my Expresso machine. I got it super fast as well (faster then what Amazon would’ve gotten it to me!). I definitely recommend this product to anyone! I can now make my Iced White Mocha just like Starbucks!

Ton of features at a great price!!

    Pros mentioned:
    Ease of use, Price

THE BREAKDOWN: Overall simple at a great price point. It comes with a stainless-steel boiler which is unique for something at this price point. It has all plastic casing with stainless accents. There is a good amount of space between the portafilter and tray (approximately 4.25 inches) with a removable riser/drip tray to allow for larger cups. The portafilter (51mm) is pressurized only and has 2 different basket sizes one is a double shot (14grams) and the other is a single shot (7 grams). There is a storage container in the back to store the baskets. There is also a one-liter water reservoir located there as well. The reservoir is removable, but it does not have a filter. The water level is viewable from the front of the machine. It does come with a scoop and tamper as well. It also has a simple easy to use and movable steam arm. It has pretty simple features, up front you have one light that is an indicator that the machine is on and one that indicates it is ready to be used. It has a knob that has the following functions, steam, off, on and hot water/coffee. The hot water setting using the steam arm can be used to warm your cup. The unit is about 11 inches tall so it can easily fit under the countertop and small spaces. Which I found to be really nice. There is a cup warmer located on the top of the machine which is also a nice feature. Overall, if you are into manually making your espresso this machine is does that very well at a very good price point. PRO’s: -Small form factor -Easy to use -Cup warmer -Stainless steel accents and broiler. CON’s: -Could use a filter in the water reservoir SUMMARY: Overall, the device worked very well, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

Don't recommend at all. Took a long time to clean, directions were unclear, bigger filter was jammed into porta filter holder. 1st, BB website said they had 3 in stock. I drive all the way there only to find out that they don't have any. Went to another store, same problem. Feeling defeated, I ordered it online. So much anticipation only to be disappointed. I'll be sure not to recommend this brand & will try to dissuade ppl from buying it from BB if they insist on getting it.

    Mean cup of Cappuccino

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
    Coffee, Ease of use

I had some help using for the first time since I am not a coffee aficionado Great packaging so unit arrived is perfect shape.. We did run water through for the unit as described before the 1st batch. What we noticed is it does not come with all the accessories you would typically use. Something to consider as you shop. (Our helper brought their own set and I am sure you can purchase your own online.) While there is a frothing wand, the cup is not included. I suggest a metal cup with a rubber handle and you need something to put your drink into like a shot glass etc.. The tamp / measuring spoon is an all in one tool and was included. You may also want a thermometer. As a beginner, I will say that this machine worked well and made a mean cappuccino. Our helper did freshly grind the beans which I am sure contributed to the fresh taste. This is an all manual unit, so no bells and whistles, but appears solidly made and nice looking on the counter. Instructions are easy to follow. I like the removable drip tray for not only the cleaning aspect, but the ability to put a larger up under the filter. With the tray you have about 3.3” (85mm) of clearance and without 4.3” (110mm). Steamer worked nice and doubles as a hot water dispenser if you are a tea drinker or you make americanos. Our helper thought it created larger bubbles than she liked at first, but then noticed she just needed to put the wand in a little deeper into the cup to get the frothy results she was used to on the professional units. Clean up is easy as well. All-in-all I would say this unit is a great value for the Cappuccino, Expresso or Latte lover in your family. ~Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews

    Great Little Espresso Machine

This is a really nice Espresso Machine that doesn't take up too much of a footprint on your countertop. It's a solidly built well-made machine that performs as expected. My barista trained son is impressed with its ease of use and the quality of the output. Thankfully, this machine doesn't require a barista to operate and produce a tasty espresso and get it done in less than 5 minutes.

Great I can do it all espresso maker

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
    Coffee, Design, Ease of use
    Cons mentioned:
    Plastic, Water reservoir

A summary: a great, economical and well performing espresso, cappuccino, latte and americano maker with key basic features needed for a great tasting coffee beverage. Comes in small size, able to fit into tight spaces. A more detailed review. I had and have a number of various coffee makers, including the big Breville semi-automatic and the pod based Nespresso machine capable of making great selection of beverages. My Breville was great, had so many great features and it came at the related higher price. After a while I started looking for a simpler and easier experience of getting to my coffee drink of choice, so I purchased the pod based Nespresso unit. The trade off with Nespresso versus Breville was convenience versus control and flexibility. Nespresso also requires specific pods. With the pod based Nespresso I was missing the flexibility to use my own coffee. So I decided to get a traditional espresso maker, but something simpler than the big Breville (which is not a bad machine, it was just too much in features for my needs). Enters the DeLonghi EC260 espresso maker. Here are my observations so far. First we need to recognize that this machine is missing some more advanced features we can get from others. Yes, it does not have the automated notification that the water level is low, instead you just have to eye ball it (not so hard to do, the tank level is very visible), it does not show the actual pressure being produced, does not tell you when you need to descale it nor it comes with extra accessories like the froth jug. But it is much cheaper than many other coffee makers and at the same time it does its job very well. For the money they ask for it is a perfect machine in my view. First the unit is not tall and should easily fit under the kitchen cabinets. It is plasticky, except the top of the unit and the frontal control panel, but the plastic it is made of does not look nor feel cheap. The operation is very simple. Put the unit on ON and wait about 30 seconds or so for the READY light to come out, then switch the control knob to either the COFFEE position for making espresso or to STEAM position if you want to make froth. When you make the froth you also have to pull down the gear on the side to let the steam out. Very simple. When judging a coffee maker for the taste of the coffee it makes there are so many other external factors which this machine has nothing to do with (like the coffee you select, including the grind level (from very fine to course). But if you have your favorite coffee that did work for you in other coffee makers, chances are you will like the taste of coffee from this DeLonghi. I did. The port-a-filter is solidly built. The unit comes with two sizes of filters (one shot and two shots). The one shot filter also should work with ESE pods. ESE stands for Easy Serve Espresso, and they are not true pods but rather coffee bags with about 7 grams of coffee in them, good enough for a single shot espresso. You can get them from ILLY coffee or Lavazza and others. The provided measuring spoon/tamper is plastic but we need to remember that we are not paying hundreds of dollars here. Still it does its job well. Filters are easy to clean and look quality. When making actual coffee the amount of water poured is controlled by you. Once you turn the knob to COFFEE the water starts pouring until you switch it back to ON position. Personally I find it advantageous that I can control the amount of water and decide if I want to get a ristretto, espresso or lungo. Another words, how much water I want per amount of coffee put into the filter. Some days I want more, some days feel like less and this unit allows me full control over that (versus other automated machines that make that decision for you). The quality of crema on the espresso was excellent. Rich and thick. The manual frothing did work very well also (remember that how the froth will come out also depends on your skills and desires). The milk became hot after frothing, which is a good thing in my book. The manufacturer recommends that the froth maker is disassembled each time and washed manually in the sink, which I did the first time. But then I discovered that you don’t have to do that, instead you can just release some steam through the wand at the end of the process to push any milk residue out and the inside will be clean (checked that myself by taking the wand apart, no milk residue was there), so there is no need to take it apart. Just let some steam out to clean it. The water container can be taken out for refilling. Alternatively you can just pour water directly into it while the container is inside the unit. To observe the water level there is a see though water level display on the left frontal side of the unit where you can see where is the top of the water. Keep in mind that if the water tank is full you will not be able to see the water level. The top metal lid front part can serve as a warming rack as it can get hot while the unit is on. The height of the cup that would fit under the spout is slightly more than 3 inches tall and if you remove the cup tray from the bottom then you can fit a cup up to about four inches tall. With this unit you can make a ristretto, espresso, lungo, americano (using the side spout that is used for frothing the milk to add water to your espresso or lungo plus the milk based products like latte or cappuccino. In my personal view, considering how little this unit costs versus other much more expensive espresso makers that might offer more features, this is a perfect “do all what I need” espresso maker. Provides good pressure, produces great froth, easy to clean, small enough to fit into many spaces, it is exactly what I wanted. A very solid choice espresso maker that is able also to make all other coffee products. This is not your Bentley or Mercedes S-Class, this is rather your Honda or Toyota, doing all well without the unnecessary high cost. Definitely recommended.

    Great little machine

    Posted .

I'm not a real coffee drinker, but I like a shot or mug every now and then. I drink decaf (yeah decaf espresso..sue me). I will say I own other DeLonghi appliances, so I have/had great hopes that this unit would be pretty good. Well, it is. It's built pretty well even with as much plastic as it has. At this price point, one can't expect a unit with more expensive materials. That said, here we go. I unboxed the unit and it was pretty much ready to go. There are two filter sizes included and a combination tamper and measuring spoon. Once unboxed, I read through the instruction booklet and proceeded to do the first run. I added water to the reservoir, set the dials and place a large pot under the unit. I ran a number of cycles through the machine without coffee to make sure it was rinsed well. I then used my store brand decaf with the shots filter and brewed a shot. The first shot was with cream and stevia, just like I make regular coffee. It tasted great and even for decaf, had a nice little kick. I then tried the cappuccino maker. It works great, just make sure you have that thing in the liquid. My first attempt got coffee and milk all over the counter, wall splash and machine. Hey, it's the first time I've used one...give me a break. So getting that lesson under my belt, I tried again and it does a great job. I enjoyed the second cup while I used a wet rag to wiped down all the mess. If I had any complaints or suggestions about the unit, it would be that like so many other appliances, there isn't a place to store the accessories. Having a cubby or indentation for the tamper/spoon and the extra filter would make this machine complete. Items not stored with the appliance tend to get lost or in a drawer with so many other accessories that one forgets what goes to what. With that said, I'd recommend this to anyone that enjoys a shot of joe in the morning or likes making a nice mug of cappuccino.

My favorite entry espresso maker. This is my 3rd in the last 20 years. First one lasted 15 years. The second only lasted 5 (parts just aren’t as durable). Then I bit the bullet and bought the Breville Barista. This third Delonghi is for my son who is leaving for college. If it lasts a few years, it’ll be worth it. Makes great espresso and the pandarillo milk frothing wand is fool proof. Great for making milk based espresso drinks, you’ll find those drinks taste great and the machine is very forgiving. If you’re into straight up espresso, you’ll have to put some effort into getting your grind and timing perfect. Still totally decent machine! Hope this one lasts!

I bought this espresso maker solely as a temporary fill-in while my Gaggia Babila was sent to be repaired. I selected this model for a few reasons. First of all DeLonghi has a decent reputation, 2nd It has a 15 bar pressure system what you're looking for in an espresso maker for proper extraction, pretty good reviews, finally the price, with all that said I couldn't beat the price, especially if you have built up any rewards with Best Buy. I purchased it selecting store pick up. Because of the hassle of finding parking space (selected curbside pickup) I decided to go inside and get it. Once inside there were no issues at all. The clerk told me they had only one employee handling bringing out items for curbside pick up. During the Holiday season?? As for the machine, I followed the set up and first use instructions implicitly. The quality of the machine is pretty good. the parts under pressure are metal and seem to do a good job. The boiler is not the best but adequate for the size of the machine. It will allow you to pull a couple shots without a problem once fully heated. The steam wand is just OK. Don't try and froth a large amount of milk. It will do enough for a couple of lattes or cappuccinos. Finally it is a rather small machine and won't take up a lot of counter space.

    LOVE THIS ESPRESSO MAKER!

    Pros mentioned:

I love using my new De'Longhi Stilosa 15 Bar Pump Espresso Machine! Beautiful maker. Easy to use. Makes terrific espresso! Love the froth too! Upon opening the box, I found it to be well-packaged. Everything was there. It was securely packaged and nothing was damaged. The setup was easy and was ready to use in minutes. I ran the unit once - as directed - without coffee grounds to ensure no residual manufacturing chemicals were still present. I wish the water reservoir had a filter to purify the water going into the system; our water in AZ is very hard with a lot of impurities and the filter would help protect the machine. I like its compact design and it doesn't take a lot of space on my countertop! I like the flexibility of using different sized cups or using 2 small ones simultaneously. The "wait time" for warming the machine wasn't too bad ... maybe a minute ... which is an improvement from a much-older espresso machine I used to have. It's also a comparable time to a capsule machine I have, but still not as fast as a K-cup machine my husband likes to use. I also like not having to buy a new "capsule or K-cup" for this machine. Regular ground coffee is so much easier and convenient and we always have it at home. The frother works really well and I'm glad that I can create a little "cup" of the froth, because I like my lattes that way. Its easy to clean after use, which is a big plus too! The downside is that the system does NOT include the small, metal "cup" that typically comes with this type of machine. Not a huge problem, but wish everything was included. Overall, a great unit for the price! Easy to use. Simple operation but lacks some controls that more expensive machines have. Makes a great cup of espresso!

    Great on Taste

This coffee maker is easy to use and figure out and although you can use pods with it its not a keurig where you leave it and come back. I have those and they work great too but I find that using this one the coffee tastes much stronger, and better taste (i like that). It is well made, yes some of the materials like a lot of them are plastic based but it feels solid and functions very well. It isn't the type that you just leave and come back you actually have to make sure you have water in it, and stick around. Do not get me wrong its not rocket science, its a matter of waiting about 20 to 30 seconds for it to be ready and then making the coffee or espresso or latte etc. The froth maker is very easy to use as well and is such a wonderful added touch to the drink. Again like i said its very easy, you just turn it to steam instead of the coffee position. For the price, the taste, ease of operation, well made feel to it I dont think you can go wrong especially if you are on a budget or dont have too much time and want a quick espresso, coffeee, americano etc etc. Two thumbs up!

I love this coffee maker !!! It makes the coffee super frothy and also with just a few minutes of lighting a super hot coffee comes out.

There were two models offered at the store when we were looking for an espresso machine: this one, and another, more upgraded version for about $50 more. I bought this one on accident; I meant to buy the upgraded version. However, the only difference is that the upgraded version allows you to pull 1 or 2 shots. With this model, you can change the depth of the where th espresso goes (comes with the machine), and you can stop the machine from pulling the shots at any time by switching it off.

I can appreciate a wonderful cup of espresso coffee in the morning without having to leave my house! It functional and very easy to use. I like that I received a single and double cup so I can serve just the right amount of espresso each time. I make more iced cups of coffee than hot, but I have tried to froth my milk and it came out perfect, thick and airy. Wonderful long term investment that saves me a ton of money each week and allows me to have great tasting coffee at home!

I really enjoy a double shot of espresso in the morning or just about anytime of the day. This espresso machine is easy to use and brews rather quickly the thing that bothers me is it’s a bit loud at times. And when your brewing 2 shots of espresso at the same time the cups vibrate and can move a bit. Other then that I’m happy

This espresso machine so far works as expected. Hopefully, it will last me as long as the previous De'Longhi EC155. Usually De'Longhi products last me a while and I had nothing but great experience with their customer service. So, this simple machine and some coffee from Lavazza is all make the drinks I love. I ordered online and opted for same day delivery, but at first I thought that I will not get my order that day. Later in the evening I received a message from a courier and got my order in few minutes. So, great job!
