I'm absolutely blown away from this receiver!! I upgraded from a onkyo tx-sr703. This is a must buy and the picture quality and sound quality or fantastic!!!

Demon receiver AVR-S970H is the best receiver because it checks all the technology boxes.It has google assistant that you see in the right picture to turn on automatically by saying hey google turn on home theater.The HEOS is internet radio and an app for your phone and has music app pandora,Spotify,Deezer ,you need HEOS app to work with Alexa or google assistant.the receiver has odyssey for surrrond sound in the demon app you can change the perimeter of the sound.I had Best Buy total tech help set this up made it much easier then I did the tweek’s on the app.I bought my the fire stick 4K max to plug it into the back the receiver HDMI 4K 2.0 for higher resolution.this receiver up convert HD1080p to 4K making the picture sharper.

Denon receiver's have been in my home for almost 30 years. But quality and it lasts.

So many options for the value. I can play all my Bluetooth apps on my outdoor speakers.

Very powerful receiver no complaints with its performance

Upgraded from an older Denon and this has been excellent for me. Bonus was an unexpected sale that really pushed me to speed up my upgrade plans. Lots of options for my TV and consoles, plus Dolby Vision and Atmos support finally!

Very happy with this product. We are now up-to-date on a entertainment paring with a new Sony Bravia TV. I thank the saleman in the Independence, MO store explaining his expert opion in our needs.

Friendly interface. Sounds great even though I had to go through 3 techs before I was told that and wasted $500.00 in useless extras before problems were resolved.

Previous to this, and only for about a week, I had purchased an Onkyo TX-NR696 that unfortunately didn't meet my expectations, especially given its price point. I picked this unit up in exchange (HUGE props to Best Buy for making this process smooth). The member pricing at the time of my purchase actually put this receiver just slightly less in price than the Onkyo TX-NR696 despite its much higher normal price. Setting this unit up was very easy with the built-in setup guide and I had no issues getting it configured to my room and equipment. Once that was done and I began watching things via my Roku TV, record player, and built-in streaming audio options it was very clear this receiver is in an entirely other class than the Onkyo. It's been a long time since I can recall a single product making such a profound improvement in the sound of my home theater room, but this rose to the occasion. If you're even remotely considering this model, don't walk, run and go get one. It's phenomenal. Huge props to Denon for knocking this out of the park.

I initially thought that I had ruined my last receiver. I went into best buy and was going to purchase the same one but the sales associate pointed me in the direction of this Denon receiver. I thought it to be a little pricey at first but it is worth the penny you spend for it. Really easy to set up and the quality level it provides is outstanding. Even if you don't have a 7.2 or even 7.1 set up, it works perfectly with a 5.1. Highly recommend having Dolby Atmos Speakers to really take full advantage. I loved my Yamaha but this Denon is a really nice upgrade

Denon is the best by far and 2nd to no other band. If you truly value your home theater and want nothing less than a real movie theater experience Denon is the only way to go. We often think it's all about the speakers and overlook at what is equally important which is the receiver when it comes to quality, sound, and power. Denon AVR S970H I recommend 100%.
