Meh destiny 2 got boring for me really fast feels like a dlc for the first one instead of a new game the ending of the main story is lame and if you don’t have friends to do the only thing that’s good about the game (raid) you will struggle and get bored with it

This Game is a good deal, if you can pick it up on sale $15 or less.
Or if you can get it for $25 including expansion passes.
At the time of this review you can price match the game itself for $9.99.
Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed playing it.
Its a decent game and the graphics are amazing.
However its a very short game and I feel bad for people who paid full price.
If you still haven't purchased this game yet, keep an eye out for when the price drops down
and includes expansion Pass 1&2 at no upcharge or check for price matching.
You wont be disappointed if you get it for $15 or less.

If you played the original Destiny then you probably know what you're getting into. It actually has a coherent story this time around which is actually pretty good. The thing that really made me like more over the first is the fact that the grind for loot has become much more fun and rewarding than the original. I would go into detail but I'm not on to write an essay. Definitely worth a buy though.

Coming from an average player of the original Destiny, to a seasoned Destiny 2 player - This installment improves on nearly every flaw that 1 had but also creates a few of it's own problems.
First off, the game is amazing, extremely fun and addicting that grabs your attention over a longer period than Destiny 1 did. You will find tons of enjoyment in having tense battles with the enemies and collecting loot after loot to better level your Guardian so you can access the end game content (where the real game begins).
After having a good amount of time with the game I feel like expressing some pros and cons of the game;
PROS
- Better loot system, easier legendary and exotic drops (seriously)
- 4v4 PvP for more of a tactical and strategic multiplayer
- Great story and gameplay
- So far a good community
- Can now add mods to weapons and armor for perks and leveling
- Graphics and frame rate on the PRO or Original PS4 are perfect
- Network is stable with no unexpected sever shutdowns (besides on Tuesday reset)
- Updates and hosts events on the regular
- The exploration and planets are better than ever before
- The grind to power level 305 is actually fun, and not drawn out like in Destiny 1
CONS
- Loot system is WAY to easy to get legendary and exotics - You can have all exotics in 2 weeks or less. Don't get me started on Legendary - it's a con/ pro, love/hate type thing :)
- The lack of exotics and diversity in gear (armor specifically)
- Some exotics not "looking exotic"
- TOO FEW ARMOR SETS, this is my biggest gripe with the game. Especially with the hunter, THEY RE-SKINNED 3 FULL SETS OF ARMOR which leaves the hunter with barely any sets to work with.
- Micro-Transactions, totally optional and I can careless but some people do. These provide you with emotes, shaders and other gear at RANDOM. You get one of these packs every time you level up so it's really unnecessary.
- Same user Interface/map interface than the original Destiny, which is unfortunate honestly.
- Servers go down for a very short time for the reset every Tuesday, again I don't care but some people do.
Some tips to better enjoy your Destiny experience, JOIN A CLAN! A Clan for end game content is essential, not only do you earn "Clan Engrams" each week that give you POWERFUL gear to help level you up tremendously, if you find a good clan you will always have people to help you out with whatever you need. Pair this with the Destiny companion app (essential for finding fireteams to join and to talk to your clan via chat) and you will infinitely increase your enjoyment!
Thanks for reading!

I was a day one player on the original and invested many hours, and this game reignited my love for this series. There are quite a few major upgrades including major cinematic improvements and story telling. But match making on the multi person raids is hands down one of the most needed improvements from part one.
The graphics are still amazing this time around and can be played in 4K! The controls are all familiar to veterans of the series, and easy to use for newcomers.
Expect to spend lots of time hunting down weapons and armors to play with. New shaders and exotic ships are also on the table. Very fun and can be if you let it, a time consumer.
If I had one gripe with this title it would be the online multiplayer which has been reduced to 4 vs 4 and you don't choose what mode you're playing. This is a minor complaint though.
If you loved or even just liked part one, Destiny 2 is worth the price of admission.

Bungie has filled many of the gaps from the first game and improved on what made Destiny a game that many gamers invested so much of their time into. While there are some things that could still benefit from improvement, this is a great game that I guarantee you willet many hours, if not days and months worth of enjoyment from. The graphics, have been improved, or I should say have been built on. More details, weather effects, smoother gameplay, weapon visuals and sounds. It has a solid campaign that you can play solo, or with up to two friends, and plenty of events and quests to keep you busy once you've completed the campaign. The multiplayer so far has been more enjoyable through better player and weapon balancing, and Bungie seems to be doing a good job of putting out new content on a regular basis. I definitely recommend Destiny 2 no matter what type of gamer you are.

This game is better than the original but not by much. The game is more seamless than the first, and it is way less of a grind fest (very good thing). Graphically it is a lot better, and the already great controls feel even tighter/accurate. My biggest complaint is that it could be even better, Iron Banner is a joke, but finding a crew to do raids or Nightfall shouldn't be a pain to do

TLDR: Overall, fun game until you exhaust the content (approx ~100 hrs pve). This game was made for casual players in mind. If you're the type who only has maybe 5 hrs a week to play a game - that's all this one needs and you'll have many weeks of play-ability as long as your friends are going at the same pace.
Preordered Destiny 2 as I had multiple friends who were going to be playing and started at launch. Joined a fairly active clan within the first week and hit max level by the first weeks reset. Overall, the story was good and interesting. The game play was good, no real big bugs or glitches. The music score was epic. The tower has some fun Easter eggs. The Leviathan raid was fun to learn, but does not allow for carrying, everyone must pull their weight and its apparent when someone isn't (its skill that's required more than gear).
However all this fun comes to a stop as soon as enough people get to max light level - I'm sorry - power level of now of 305. There was no reason to attempt the raid on Prestige mode as the gear drops were reskined.

Based on how much he enjoyed Destiny 1, my 17 year old son wanted this sequel. He enjoys the clean game play, clear objectives and unique weapons. He also commented that he liked the straightforward controls, which are similar to other games and made it easy to learn quickly.

I’m a busy 30+ year old with not a lot of time, but a gamer at heart. Now a month later , I’ve completed the game, the raid, the prestigious raid, the pvp activities etc. big improvement from the first game in terms of game play, variety, story, graphics and the ridiculous amount of grinding is now gone. This is a definite must have for all ps4 owners

I'm a returning player to the world of Destiny. I really liked the first game, and my view on Destiny 2 will be more of the same - as it feels like a continuation of the first honestly. Destiny 2 feels more like an expansion v1.5 more than it does a complete sequel. Classes and combat seem to behave similarly as to what I'm used to. Destiny 2 seems more vivid, vibrant, and robust in it's visuals/graphics overall. Playing this game on a PlayStation 4 Pro, and a Curved 4K Ultra HDTV is absolutely stunning!
Areas & Worlds don't seem as barren as they were in the first game either. The inclusion of a map this time around helps a bunch in finding my way around. The map now pinpoints NPC locations, points of interest, and open world events that are currently happening. The open world events are great, as the map gives a timer when they start/end - so you can prepare accordingly.
One of the more noticeable improvements to the game are the Engrams. Engrams are now automatically decoded when you pick them up. You no longer need to store them, and go back to the Cryptarch to decode. Furthermore you no longer need to ensure that you're wearing your highest Light Level items (i.e. gear) to decode Engrams, in order to get better gear; The system automatically gives you the best chance of getting the higher Light Level items now (even from items stored in your Inventory).
Now for the cons - which are pretty much the microtransactions this time around. I'll name a few here:
• Shaders are now one-time use. Although they can drop randomly in the game world, they're a microtransaction purchase from the Eververse vendor now.
• Sparrows (aka Speeder Bikes) aren't acquired until level 20. Although the Sparrows can be acquired randomly through playing the game, or through microtransactions from the Eververse vendor.
While the Eververse Trading Company vendor still allows the purchase of the in-game currency Silver, you can still purchase Emotes. Emotes were a known a cosmetic item carried over from the first Destiny, so that's not really a surprise. However, the decision to add one-time use shaders is surprising since the system worked well in Destiny... there was no need to change it. This manuever by the publisher is an obvious cash grab to players, regardless to the fact that shaders can drop in the game - that's not the point IMO. If you've played Ovewatch, the purchase of so-called loot boxes will be familiar to you; Bungie is going the same route here, with random emotes, exotic weapon ornaments, shaders, sparrows, etc. dropping from opening these boxes with the purchase of Silver (from real world money).
Overall the game feels more polished than the first game, and the exclusion of Grimore Cards was a good move. Game lore can now be learned in-game, without the need to use a website to look up information about what's happening with the story. Voice acting is superb, the music is wonderful & mesmerizing, and the cinematics are great. If you enjoyed Destiny, than you'll enjoy playing Destiny 2. If you're new to the franchise, you can still play Destiny 2 without the need to play the first game.
With regards to PvP, there is no longer 6v6 - as it's now 4v4. While this is a point of contention among veterans of the game, it doesn't bother me since I really don't like to PvP. However, with a smaller team, things should feel more balanced (hopefully) - and less overwhelming going against a larger force. I personally like the decision, and this change may make me finally give PvP a try this time around.
I give the game 4-stars overall, and I definitely recommend it. Especially if you enjoyed the first game. This is most certainly not a sequel though, but it's more Destiny goodness nonetheless. Two thumbs up!

At first, Destiny 2 doesn't seem that much different from the original Destiny game -- same solid gun play, same enemy races, same objectives to get the best performing and best looking gear, etc. However, the longer you play, the more you realize just how much Bungie has tweaked the formula. Better story telling, LOTS of "quality of life" improvements, reasons to participate in public events and explore the ~open world. (By quality of life above, I mean that Bungie streamlined the user experience -- no more going to orbit before going anywhere else, no need to go to the Tower to pick up quests/missions, and actual in-game interactive map, etc.)
There is still more that could be done. One complaint is that the sort feature of the Vault is baffling to understand, and we could really use a filter feature in addition to (an improved) sort feature. There are long wait queues for the new Guided Games feature, which may cause people to abandon using it.
Overall, Destiny 2 is a fitting successor to the original game.

I'm really loving this game. I don't play FPS games, but Destiny really changed my mind, especially since it adds customization elements and such. They really thought out alot of aspects as far as story, gameplay, surroundings, weapons and armor. Very dope game, can't wait for the DLC.

The gameplay is as fluid as ever, which was the main selling point of the original. What they did was improve the mechanics of upgrading and eliminated a lot of the endless grind for materials and quests in search of that elusive upgrade. There's still some of that element, but you can get a lot more out of the game than you could on the original without feeling like it's a second job. The only gripe I have is, maybe because I came in with some casual experience, but I feel as though my fireteam made it through the initial campaign a little too quickly and easily. I know there's still a lot of game left after that, but it could've been a little more challenging. Very fun to play though, very satisfied with this game.
