works really good. the drawback is with the battery and refuel together in the gopro. the gopro will only draw juice from the internal battery and stop working instead of switching to the refuel. the refuel works without the internal battery. too big for the chest harness. last about 4 hours. gets warm quickly and not good with direct sunlight.

Got this because my battery wouldnt last the full mud run . Only thing is it wouldn't fit on my chesty so i couldnt use it for the run not sure how long it really last . I took it to the beach and it ran for 2.5 hours no problem .

have not used it to it's full capacity but so far it has been working as expected

I bought this to extend the battery life on my GoPro for a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. The product worked well. My only complaint is the package says you will get 6 hours of battery life per charge. I found it to be like 4. Even so, those 4 with the life of my proprietary battery proved to be enough to shoot more than 32GB of Hi Def video in 8 days with power to spare.

Bought this for myself. Really like it. Wish it was a little smaller

Wish they lasted longer though but they always give good results.

This external battery definitely helped me when I was hiking in the Tetons. The extra battery life I was able to get every day allowed me to get maximum footage and photos of an incredible experience. I highly recommend it.

Make the camera twice the size and heavy. Can not be used for a few mounts like the one for your wrist. It becomes too heavy. It also kept giving me a low battery error on my camera. Did last log though but was super annoying.

This was a last minute purchase before going on vacation. The Gopro version was more than I was looking to spend. The batteries lasted just as long as the one that came with my Gopro. No complaints so far.

If you love using your GoPro without having to worry about charging it frequently or having to change out the battery every-so-often like me this is perfect for you & well worth the price it cost.

This backup battery is great for the GoPro. That is why I purchased two of them. Cheaper than the other similar products online. At 6 hours of recording time, it makes for concerts or on family vacations.

The on-board GoPro batteries are pretty useless for production work , IMHO, so having this snap-on battery increase shooting time with minimal impact on the GoPro's flexible mounting options is great!

The duration of the battery last pretty long on a single charge; about 5hrs on 1080p at 60fps. It certainly is a great investment especially if you plan on venturing outdoors for a awhile.

A couple reviews complained about the fit. I found the fit to be extremely snug. I liked this for in the water filming. The fit is great the battery just needs to be installed properly and centered to the GoPro case and it will close every time. Again it is snug and should be, to keep out dust , debris and, water. The battery life was a bit short for the first three charges. Like a lot of other batteries of this type a couple charge cycles are needed to get them up to their proper charge and discharge times. Went off and on for two straight days on the fourth charge and the same on the fifth.

Wanted to get and extended life battery for my camera and this one was highly recommended. Has a quick charge time and holds a charge for a long time.

this battery is a must have if you plan to use your gopro for an extended time (like a time lapse) very satisfied with this battery

It is nice that it hooks directly into the back of the GoPro. The only drawback is you can't see the screen - so you have to hook to your phone.

I used this when I went scuba diving because I knew I just wasn't going to be able replace batteries like that. It worked well. Lasted about 5 hrs. This depends on what settings you use on your gopro.
