Best Drone for the Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been flying drones since 2012 and the Mavic 2 Pro is the 6th one Ive owned. This is by far the best one. Here's why. Flight time. Image quality. Portability and advanced features like intelligent flight modes. I dont relly need collision avoidance but this one has it in all directions. My only complaint is the lens distortion / correction. The lens and distortion correction used on the jpg versions leaves building edges with lots of keystoning aka vertical perspective distortion. Other wise the whole system is hard to beat at this price level.

Awesome drone.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing drone. I had a phantom 3 advanced and I thought I was awesome. I had the opportunity to upgrade to the m2p. Perfect for traveling and to take everywhere, so compact and wow the flight time so so much better. Camera wise that’s also where the m2p shines, hasselblad come on, that’s an amazing camera. I love all the new creative modes. Can’t wait to take it with me everywhere. I recommend getting the flight more kit for more time in the air. Trust me you don’t want to stop flying this thing. Lol Also, don’t forget to grab nd filters and bonus tip... i insured mine with State Farm under private article and with less than $100 I fly with piece of my mind that my investment is cover :)

Amazing picture quality in a small package
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife purchased me a Typhoon H+ for our anniversary however after a few days, we realized that the Mavic 2 Pro would be a better fit for our family. We returned the H+ for the M2P with DJI Racing Edition Goggles and Fly More kit. I will add reviews for those two products after this one. Lots of great things to say about the M2P however since everyone always wants to talk about what they love about products, I’m going to talk about what I don’t like about it first... - No 4K recording at 60 fps. It does 4K/30. At this level I would really have expected them to include 60 frames capability at 4K. - The gimbal protector is inadequate and as a result, there are widespread reports on the Mavic forms of people receiving drones with cosmetically damaged gimbals. Mine fortunately did not have the damage. - The Percision Landing feature which is present in the first generation Mavic has been removed. DJI has indicated they will add it back in a future firmware update. - The controller does not have the ability to hold a phone that is in any reasonably sized protective case. There are third-party accessories that you can purchase that will attach to the controller that are better suited for holding devices that are in cases or even tablet. Ok, now the really cool stuff! My favorite part of this drone is the size. Having owned a DJI Phantom 4 for approximately 2 1/2 years, I was eager to get something more portable. I am no professional photographer so I may never use some of the cameras advanced features however out of the box it takes amazing photos and video. One of the biggest selling points for me was that the M2P camera has an adjustable aperature. This is something that I am accustomed to using on my DSLR so I am very happy to find it here... something that you do not find at this price level. If you are new to drones, the M2P has what is called Tripod mode which slows everything down a bit so you can get familiar with it. There are a few other modes and autonomous features that it has but you can research those online. They are great if you have kids or want to do some really cool aerial cinematography. Another huge selling point for me was the enhanced obstacle avoidance which (depending on mode) will give you essentially 360° obstacle avoidance including top and bottom. OA It’s not a substitute for awareness and responsible flying however it can definitely save you for the times you make mistakes... it does happen. Flight time is great. It says 31 minutes however realistically if you fly your battery down to 20% You can expect closer to about 20 minutes or so depending on your flying style. Still very good in my opinion. Lastly I will mention the ability to add FPV goggles... with the DJI RE goggles, You can get for telemetry data in the headset and have complete control of the cameras movements if you so choose. You can even choose to fly the drone with head movements if you’d like. For me, I put the goggles on my kids and let them have the thrill of flying while I am buzzing around. Anyhow, I think the Mavic 2 Pro is a winner for both family/recreational use as well as some professional applications. Overall I feel that it is a good balance between camera capabilities and size. You can get better cameras in larger drones and you can get smaller drones with less of a camera. You just have to decide where you want to be.

An all around awesome drone!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome drone. Professional quality photography in stunning 4k. Also extremely fun to fly. In sport mode it goes at least 45mph, it flies up to 400ft (probably more but its illegal to go above 400ft), and has a range of 5 mile radius. Flight time 30 minutes per battery but with fly more package you have 3 batteries that can charge simultaneously, so youll have 90 minutes of flight time and the batteries charge surprisingly quick. Its an all around awesome drone and worth the price.

Great for anyone
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am impressed with the mavic pro 2 and its features. The camera takes fantastic photos and videos once you get to know all the settings. The flight time seems to be close to what they advertise. Flying the drone itself is easy for really anyone as the sensors basically prevent you from hitting anything, of course if you have them enabled. Compared to the dji phantom 4 pro, I would pick the mavic pro everytime.

Fun flying with professional features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a fan of DJI products. I got my FAA commercial license last year and had been using a DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Now I've upgraded to the Mavic 2 Pro and I'm really impressed. The drone itself is smaller and easier to handle for storage, transport, and preflight set-up. I'm also impressed with the extra flight time. I've been getting 25-30 minutes of air time from each charged battery for the Mavic 2. The Phantom usually only lasts about 20-22 minutes. The intelligent flight modes are also very impressive, they allow the pilot to create cinematic videos with relative ease. I recommend the Mavic 2 Pro.

Great Upgrade from Previous Mavic Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great upgrade from the previous Mavic Pro. Not saying the previous model is bad as it is a really good drone as well. The Mavic 2 is exceptional with the new camera. You can really tell the difference in the quality of the photos it takes as well as video. The flight time is a little longer but I would say maybe a five minute difference. I never flew my previous Mavic in any strong winds. But today I flew the Mavic 2 Pro in about 20 to 25 mph gusts and I did not drift at all. I did get the high wind warning and it used up the battery quicker. But for the quick shots that I wanted to get while traveling it did great. Also I did not notice any difference in the sound of the drone. It’s stated to be quieter but can not really tell. Another great addition is the updated controller. The joy stick are removable and are stored in the controller when folded up. This make its great for packing everything into a backpack when hiking. The one downside I with the new drone is the gimbal cover. It does seem to scratch the top of the camera by the way it installs. Also it does not stay on well when you have it packed in a bag. If anything bumps it, it tends to come unclipped. I would suggest going with a after market gimbal cover. Overall this is a great drone with great updates.

Big ability in a small package
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As DJI moves more to the smaller discreet chassis of the Mavic 2, from the bulky non aerodynamic Phantom series, They are packing these birds with a multitude of value. Multiple avoidance sensors from all angles, extended flight times and the best camera to date make this a professionals dream. Rock solid stability and phenomenal phot and video quality.

Far Superior
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Longer Flight time than our previous drone, which was a Phantom 3 Pro, as well as lighter, smaller, more portable, and with a better camera. Also has plenty of great and extremely helpful intelligent flight modes. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking to pursue drone imagery professionally.

Mavic 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already own the DJI Spark, which I like very much. The Mavic 2 Pro on the other hand is awesome. The camera, flight distance and time, speed can't be beat. The only issue is the price which Bestbuy makes easier to deal with with no interest financing.

omg omg OMG
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Five OMG's. This wizardry is AWESOME. I wonder why there are no American companies who build such cool things? Got it to do survey and 3d modeling work. I bought it to prevent my having to drive to a site I'm working on that is more than an hour from my home, more than I needed to. The drive is long and I prefer to avoid it if / when possible. I was going to build a top map with lasers and it was cold and rainy and it took all day just to take some preliminary pictures and measurements of the site. After going home and scratching my head a bit I was struck that Best buy has drones. So I researched and bought this one. OMG. Took my 1/2 hour to figure hour how to fly it and within an hour I had shot images in automated flight around and over my house. Within 6 hours I had tested some software (free trial) and built my first 3 d map of a site. OMG, did I say that? VERY VERY VERY happy.... even if it isn't made in America.

Amazing Drone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a few drones now and nothing can compete with the quality, performance and usability. A sleek folding design with an excellent camera coupled with 31 minutes of flight time leads to the best drone I've ever owned.

What a great drone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say that hasn't been said about this drone? Smooth running, bigger camera than the MP1, longer flight time, etc. If you're buying it as your first drone it's a treat because its just a smooth flying drone and not difficult to learn. If you are upgrading you're in for a treat as well however the only downside of upgrading there are many things that don't carry over from the MP1 to the MP2-well almost nothing. The MP2 is slightly larger than the MP1 so if you had a polar pro case that MP2 isn't going to fit...but I digress. If you want one and been on the fence-this is the one.

Excellent Drone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first real drone and I must say that I've VERY impressed with just about everything so far. I'm still learning and by no means an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but it's amazing how it operates as well as the picture quality in 4k. I've even had the nerve to fly at night and was blown away how well everything turned out. Highly recommended as I was thinking about getting the Hero 6 with the Karma which is now dead.
