I have seen people using Gimbal and I have always wondered what those were. I didn't knew what it does, all I knew & thought was it has got a camera and high quality selfie stick. During this thanksgiving I noticed this is BestBuy and started reading reviews, and ended up buying the same.
I have been using Go Pro camera for the past few years and always thought those were great, and always had felt would have been better if the stabilization is good. After starting to use OSMO I am very happy with what it does. I have a son and its helpful to shoot videos and DJI app is awesome to quickly edit and share it in Whatsapp.
Recently I upgraded to OSMO+ and its been good. And I am very happy with my purchases. It would have been good if these are waterproof or at least shatterproof.
The device is very friendly to use and easy to learn and get used to.
I get everyones attention when I hold this and walk. Not much people own this as of now. I love this product, its bit pricy, but worth it.

The Osmo is a great intro gimble system. It's not perfect, but -depending on your use of the item- it has a lot of positives.
I would recommend this for certain uses and not others. I use it for real estate and it works well.
The bad:
-If your looking to 'go live' on social media, this isn't the platform for you. You have to connect your phone or tablet to the wireless signal of the osmo, leaving cell signal strength only. This doesn't work for me, as I work in a metal building.
-There when panning, you will sometimes experience a jerk. as if it can't turn any more (yet it can).
-Joystick to move the osmo needs improvement. often when I want a slow pan, it slips and speeds up the shot and just swings around at high speed. You have be be very careful with the joystick if you use it.
-Sound is terrible built in. requires external mic. (1/8 input is available on device)
GOOD
If you'r looking to do interior of homes or businesses, this is a good option. I'm using it for real estate walkthrough videos.
-Super easy to use
-crisp picture. 4k looks good
-decent app that allows for panning and focusing
-some manual control over video picture
-good gimble for walking around

Pros:
Nice video quality (4k, 2.7k, 1080, 720)
Nice photo quality (provides RAW and JPG)
Video settings provide within the DJI app provide you with a number of different options to where you can color grade footage in post-production software
Gimbal stabilizes most motions (Doesn't stabilize Z axis, there is an accessory though)
Light-weight and portable
Easy-to-use controls
Full manual control (via DJI GO app)
Extra accessories provide flexibility in creating a rig suitable for your filming needs (extension arm, hot shoe mounts, stand, etc.)
Cons:
Poor low-light performance - very noisy
Poor audio quality (recommend external mic)
Battery life is ok, (buy an extra)
DJI app can drain your phone battery pretty quickly - recommend picking up a portable charger
Extra accessories - Although your'e pretty good right our the box, you end up spending a lot more on other accessories; stand, ext. arm, hot shoe mount, larger case, etc.
Overall, the Osmo is a great camera stabilizer option from novice to pro. If you would rather use your phone's camera to take video, the Osmo mobile may be a different option.

I have to say that the DJI Osmo is an excellent compact camera that produces amazing video footage in 4k. It's portability makes it easy to carry around and film cinematic video with it's smooth gimbal. There are different modes which you can use the device. You can shoot in a time lapse mode as well as standard video.
The unit comes with a locking gimbal that allows you to protect it while transporting. The carrying case that comes with it has a strap that allows you to carry it across your shoulder for easy transport.
I do recommend this product. DJI makes excellent products and have been extremely happy with them. I did purchase a DJI Ronin-M from Best Buy to stabilize my Canon XC10 4K camera. This product also works very well for heavier cameras. Overall, you can't beat the technology in the DJI Osmo package.

This is product is great walking/jogging to capture stabilized video. Not made for shaky or high vibration situations.
For best results try to plan your movements with your shots. When panning keep the movement slow. Quick, fast paced panning will not look good.
The battery life is short (+/- 60 minutes continuous use) so purchasing additional batteries for longer shoots is a must. The interface with the DJI mobile app is decent once you orientate yourself. There is exposure adjustment which is responsive and allows you to adjust for shadows, highlights or high contrast environments.
I've used this product in street protests, commercial shoots and gathering b-roll for various video projects.
Overall, this is a great option compared to buying a DSLR stabilized rig system (Ronin, Moza etc). The cost, setup and user accessibility make it a great bang for your buck!

great build quality returned right away because of the yunnec 4k price drop the day after I received it didn't use for more than 2 minutes, but I can tell it deserved at least 4 stars . but daium 650, and no hot shoe aadpter for my mic. do not trust the build in mic(fan sound). read other reviews about the mic.... its true.

The footage is amazingly detailed & stable. Easy to set up & use. If you're concerned about clean audio, get an external mic. Sometimes the internal mic will pick up some slight noise from the fan. It's not always noticeable, only when you're in a quiet environment. Overall a fantastic camera.

They have one design to have your mobile phone attached to the gimbal and using the DJI application works through the camera. Upside is that it comes with all the necessary things when on the go. Carrying case and all the cables and they even hook it up with a memory card.
Only down side is the weight which I noticeably found the alternatively less expensive model that houses your phone.

After buying a DJI Phantom 4 and seeing how a gimbel allows for smooth video I began my research into the Osmo. The startup and usage of the device is quick and easy and after a bit of practice you can get smooth video.
A couple highlights
- flashlight mode is wonderful and easy to use
- auto panoramic photos are slick
- Feels solid
- App works well
A couple drawbacks:
- The onboard Mic is almost unusable, if you want to capture anything good you need to go external
- Low light is ok, but given the cost it is ok
- You will want to buy more accessories, extra battery, tripod etc.

After playing with my osmo for a couple of trips I just starting to like it even more. At the beginning you feel like it's going to break easily because all the moving parts, don't worry this camera is a tough work horse , just make sure you have extra battery for it and your phone. Best accesory is extra battery and lenses.

I really want to give the Osmo 5 stars, because for what it does, its excellent....with one key flaw, the Audio. I purchased this unit in hopes of shooting B roll footage and for that purpose, it is excellent. The Audio recording on this device is horrible without use of an external mic. There is a distinct humming in the audio from the electrical motors. This does go away with using an external mic... A great recorder, just make sure you use it with plenty of light...

I am new to the field of film, and I wasn't ready to dish out $1000+ for an "alright" camera as well as a gimbal. With the Osmo, you get an amazing camera with a very good gimbal for an amazing price of less than $700, which awesome! I have thoroughly enjoyed using this camera and have filmed some awesome shots!
The only thing I have noticed is that the camera, on startup, doesn't start level, it's a quick and easy fix in the settings, but it can get frustrating. Other than that, it really is a great camera!

This was actually my second choice for an image stabilizer. My first choice would have been the Gopro one, but it has been delayed further and the Osmo had more panning options and a more complete user interface. There is a soft buzzing sound when you operate the Osmo but nothing that will ruin your your movies. It is pretty much the best stabilizer out there if you look at the reviews and compare other gimbals with the Osmo. The app is easy to use, the more I film the more tricks I find in there. It was a big purchase, but in the long run it was a great one.

This is an excellent video camera! The results are smooth, high-quality video. It's strength is the way that the gimbal compensates for any bumps or jitters that might come when shooting while moving the camera. If you do most of your shooting with a tripod, this camera would probably be overkill.

With Osmos stabilization we now can make stable video without tripods, videoheads, sliders, external stabilization gear and all other accessories. I'm looking forward to try the z axis accessory to get 4 axis stabilization. If better image quality is needed you can always upgrade the Camera.

I have several devices that take video/photos and this one is really good. It takes a little time to get use to but it takes amazing photos and videos and the software makes it easy to convert from you smart phone and post to social media or just send via text or email. Kind of pricy but it was worth it.

I love the Osmo. Best part is the stabilizer. I love the fact that I can record while moving and everything stays steady. Didn't really need the camcorder version. There is an Osmo Mobile that works with your phone works the same just without the camcorder. My only issue is the price. Kinda pricey.

Everything about this camera by itself is great. It gets a little heavy to hold after a while with phone hanging off the side. Takes a bit getting used to moving a shooting because it does work so well. I am thinking I would probably like the Osmo + better with the zoom function.
