    Mostly a Fantastic Mop/Vac Combo!

This would be my second T20 Omni, the first lasted 4 days till a bump sensor error sent it back to Best Buy. With that being said, the second unit I tried has worked well. The vacuum has powerful suction, allowing even hard, heavy debris (ie- kitty litter) to be picked up with ease. The mop is a fantastic feature, especially for someone who is partially disabled. I just add a small amount of floor cleaner in the reservoir and it's even better. So far I only have 4 minor complaints-- 1) the clean and dirty water tanks seem to need refilling and emptying daily. The Ecovacs X1 Omni I used previously DEFINITELY didn't use that much water. 2) The laser obstacle avoidance leaves a bit to be desired with specific situations. If a power cord it rolled up in a circle, it avoids that cord. If the power cord is laying unrolled on the floor, it will eat it. Same with socks or underwear. 3) The application doesn't allow for you to tell the vacuum to not go back to clean the mop pads while ONLY using it on carpet. 3-4 times, while the mopping pads are lifted, it will go back to the station to clean the mopping pads. The app even correctly identified it was carpet, but still having this same issue. 4) the base station cleaning tray doesnt come out to clean, requiring you to get on your hands and knees (not ideal for disability) to clean a small plastic mesh filter and scrub the interior of the station.

YIKO & ECOVACS DEEBOT T20 ~ THE BEST!

I wasn't sure if this robot vacuum was going to be something I really liked when purchased but the price was on sale at a decent markdown so I took the plunge. It was easy to set up via my internet and mapped the house swiftly using the Ecovacs app. I did have to remap the house once but it isn't tough to do. When you want to start her up you just say OKAY YIKO and she replies I'M HERE. Then you tell her what you want her to clean. I mainly say CLEAN THE HOUSE and she proceeds to clean all the mapped areas. I only use the vacuum part of this robot and not the mop so cannot speak for that performance. However the vacuum works awesome even though it's not the strongest suction model on the market. I do use it on the STRONG mode as I found the Standard mode wasn't picking up that well. There is one more higher strength mode but I haven't found a need to try that yet. I have about 700 sq ft. that I use this to clean. My house is 3,000 sq ft. but there are areas that I want to pass up on. Yiko can clean all 700 sq ft and still have about 30% battery life left. She also does a very thorough job! Announces her return when she is finished cleaning and finds her way back to the charging station every time. She does have a bit of an issue climbing over a couple of my thresholds and onto some braided rugs but I am always around when I fire her up to clean so I gently give her a push and on the way she goes. I am highly pleased with my purchase although I've only had it about 3 weeks. Hopefully it will hold up well and last for a good while. I use it 3x a week and always blow the dust off the filter and clean the roller every time. I also make sure the sensors are free of dust and wipe it down as well. Be sure to check the dust bag so it doesn't overfill. I am still on my original and it has lots of room left. With proper maintenance I feel this will be great and was a good investment. At present I can no longer push a regular vacuum cleaner around due to pinched nerves so this is the perfect answer. I have had NONE of the problems some folks have mentioned and therefore I love my Yiko!

Love this Robot Vacuum & Mop. We have been using it for about a month now and really love the simplicity of it. Having the mopping pads cleaned and rinsed by the machine is great. The base is large but we have it in our laundry room and the bot still finds its way home every time.

Deebot T20 Omni offers quite a few noteworthy great features ### Pros: 1. **Cleaning Performance:** The lift-up mopping functionality makes it a versatile cleaning assistant, tackling both vacuuming and mopping tasks effectively. 2. **Efficient Mapping:** Its ability to map the house in half the time compared to a Roomba is a significant advantage, saving time during cleaning sessions. 3. **Adjustable Suction:** The option to adjust vacuum suction power for quieter cleaning is a great feature, especially for maintaining a peaceful environment while it works. ### Cons: 1. **Complex Initial Setup:** Some users might find the setup process complicated, potentially causing initial frustrations. 2. **Uncovered Spots:** Despite its capabilities, there have been instances where certain spots are left uncleaned post-run. This issue might be linked to the absence of cleaning agents in the water tank, affecting its mopping performance. ### Overall Impression: Despite the initial complexities in setup and occasional missed spots potentially related to the absence of cleaning agents in the water tank, the Deebot T20 Omni has left a positive impression. Its efficiency in mapping and its versatile cleaning functions seem to overshadow these minor drawbacks, leading to a very positive overall experience.

This vacuum has been a life saver. We have two dogs and three cats so our floors get dirty instantly. I can run it on vacuum mode and mop after and I still have battery left over, it charges pretty quickly so if I want to run it again at night it’s fully able to go again! This has significantly cut down our manual sweep/mopping to 2-3 times a month to get a good deep clean in! We’ve had it for a few months and haven’t even needed to empty the dirt bag within the charging box!

This is the third Deebot that I have bhought. The first one was only a vacuum which we replaced with the T8 which had an oscillating moping unit, and then we got this one. You can see how much progress has the company achieved throughout the years. This model did the map very quickly, is very quiet in operation, easy to setup, and runs very smoothly with little user input. I would certainly buy a 4th one and I recommend this one a lot.

Great improvement over the x1 omni, i went with this one over the x2 since most review for x2 mention poor mapping and obstacle avoiding issues. That is prob due to the lidar not being at the top like it is on the t20 and x1. Pros and cons: Pros, easy to maintain clean robot and station every 30 hr of run time, parts last long with medium to high clean settings about 3 month, easy replace dust bags and parts, good mapping/map features to merge or separate areas for cleaning, custom cleaning schedule, smart object avoid, can sweep first then mop and knows exactly were it stopped and returns so helps battery to last more so one robot can handle about 2000sqft or more Cons: bags dont last long when settings is smart empty to empty every time instead of when done we use smart setting due to dog hair so bag is replaced every 30-45 days, can get tangled with carpet mat if it is thin

Love this vac/mop overall. The station is larger than expected but great quality. Does the job and really cleans the floor, especially the mop on the tile. With 2 big dogs and 3 kids the floor gets messy and the ecovac really helps eliminate the mess. The setup was easy until I got to the mapping and all the other things you can do within the app. It gets a little confusing but if you take the time to learn everything (YouTube is a big help) it starts to make more sense.

Overall, it works really well. The water tanks are big, so you don't have to refill the water too often. However, I do believe it uses more water to mop as the floor is a wetter compared to my other eufy omni x10. I do like the double spinning brushes, seems to pickup more debris.

This robot has many features that give you a better quality of life over time and cleanliness. It recognizes the whole house very well although after it does the first cleaning it recognizes the carpets. The price is affordable due to the operation of the machine, the application of the phone has to be studied but it can be for everyone, it has no complications. Scrub very well and you can put it on several levels. I recommend it

House has never been cleaner, but i will say that you ocasionally have to remove hairs which is a chore, but on the bright side, the machine proves its sturdiness. The mopping with the wet pads is great, but soap needs to be purchased from the supplier though it says it does not need it, on the app they have supplies of it. I read that you should buy their stuff simply so that it deosnt hurt the machine. Nonethesless, I have not had any issues with the machine other than that and the interface is nice but a little bit to get used to.

Solid Performance At Vacuuming and Mopping

    |
    Tech Insider Network Member
    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

TLDR: It is easy to setup and works well. App could be improved but offers tons of features. Vacuuming and mopping is solid/great but not perfect or as good as a wired vacuum or manual job. Which is what I would expect. It keeps my home cleaner than it would if I had to manually vacuum/mop which is fantastic as it saves me a ton of time and effort. Coming home to a clean home is a nice feeling. SETUP: Setup is easy. You start by taking everything out of the box. Then download the Ecovac’s app, add new robot (if you already have one just swipe right on the main screen), it will walk you through the rest of the steps. It does prefer 2.4 Ghz wireless. Overall, this process takes about 5 – 10 minutes. Next, you do the initial scan of your home environment where it will drive around with the different sensors to make a 2/3D map of your home. This takes 15 – 20 minutes depending on how big of an environment. Then you can fine adjust that map by combining/separating rooms, labeling rooms (bedroom, living room, bathroom, etc.), adding furniture (such as dog bowls or cat boxes), adding invisible walls to block it from going somewhere (for me were stairs, under a certain bed, and around a desk where there are a lot of wires). Which takes another 15 – 30 minutes. Last, you fine tune your own personal cleaning preferences. Such as setup the order it should clean rooms when on Auto Mode (Mine is, living room, kitchen, bedroom 1, bathroom 1, bedroom 2, bathroom 2). Schedules, with my dogs the living room tends to get trashed, so I have it clean that twice a week (Monday and Friday) and go over that area twice each time. The rest of the rooms on Tuesday. I had some issues getting the scheduling to work correctly at first. But then it randomly started to work. Then you can do some fine tuning as mentioned in features below and your done. FEATURES: Some other features include “cleaning preferences” which allows you to choose the cleaning mode (vacuum only, mop only, vacuum and mop, mop after vacuum), cleaning times (x1 or x2), suction power (quiet, standard, strong, max). You also have “cleaning efficiency” (standard, deep, fast, edge). “Deep Cleaning” (which will specifically focus on corners every 7 days). Carpet Cleaning Strategy. Which includes, Auto (which boost suction to max when detects carpet. Auto (lowers mopping pad when on tile but raise on carpet). Bypass (Avoid carpets or floor mats). And Include (drive onto and off all carpets and clean them as usual). Smart Cleaning which includes Mopping Pad Wetness, Mopping Pad Cleaning Interval, Hot Air Drying Time, Auto Empty (auto or smart. Smart will empy more often where auto will do it at the end of the area clean), Continuous Cleaning (will stop and charge then resume cleaning when it has enough power), and TrueDetect 3D Obstacle Avoidance (either better obstacle avoidance or will focus on cleaning more which may suck up a dog toy or cord). Cleaning Log (which shows you where the vacuum cleaned exactly with lines on the 2D/3D map) and Child Lock (which will lock the base station button and Vacuum button from working). You have four different types of cleaning modes. “Area” which means you select what room(s) you want to clean. “Auto” which will clean your whole house in the order you setup originally. “Furniture” which I’m not sure does honestly. Last “Custom” which gives you a square that you can place in your home for specific spot cleaning. Say you spilled something or want it to mop something up. The Yiko Voice Assistant is interesting. The 2.0 version picks up false activations less than my OG X1 Omni. And allows you to start, stop, or spot clean. Among some other things. Which makes it nice for others in your household to control the robot if they don’t have the app downloaded and installed. COMPLAINTS: First, compared to my X1 Omni. I am able to setup more specific cleaning with my X1. For example in my Living Room I like it to go over that area twice with max suction as it is the most soiled area of the house. But then have it on standard for hardwood floors with a single pass. And standard suction and going over it once with the other rooms of the house. But with the T20 I was not able to figure out a way to customize that. It seems I only have one global setting. Second, the Ecovac’s App is not intuitive. I get lost in it often and it takes me a while to find exactly what I’m looking for despite having a lot of time on it. That could be a me problem. While it looks pretty and once you know where to go it makes sense. I would like to see this be improved or simplified. Third, the vacuum/mop isn’t as good as I would have liked. I found that when I have it set to “vacuum first, then mop” that it would wet the mop before it started to vacuum, which then would make my carpet all wet. Making it so I would just remove the pads, let it vacuum. Then apply the pads and have it mop. Which kind of defeats the purpose of it auto raising. While I do see the auto raising feature as working (as it does indeed sense carpet and then raise the pads) it wasn’t enough to not wet my carpet. But found the mopping function was good and cleaned well. With adequate soakage of my tile/hardwood floors and cleaned them well. Not to the same level as me doing it manually. But I don’t think that is a reasonable comparison. Fourth, the base station itself comes with a small dirty water case, clean water case, a brush, and a brush with a sharp edge to cut tangled hair in the vacuum. But with my X1 it has an actual plastic piece that holds all of these. But that is missing with the T20 and needs to be bought separately. And for the price I would expect that to be included. It also only has a single button which makes it a bit more cumbersome to operate. The X1 has three buttons. Fifth, it uses disposable bags. Which I don’t like as they are small, continuous cost, and add to more trash to the environment. I would much prefer to see a plastic bin (or a separate attachment you could buy) that allows me to empty that when full. But am glad the robot’s bin and filter is cleanable and reusable. PERFORMANCE: I found the vacuuming performance to be solid/great. It leaves nice lines, and you can tell when it has or hasn’t vacuumed. It picks up the majority of stuff. However, it isn’t perfect as it leaves some of the dogs hair behind on the surface and doesn’t pull all the hair out in the deeper parts of the carpet. But also, don’t think that is reasonable to expect. So do find that my normal corded vacuum provides a deeper clean. Which I do every month or two which picks up the deeper stuff this vacuum can’t capture. But this keeps things very tidy and clean with a lot less effort on my end. On hard floors it does a fantastic job. I found the brush itself didn’t tangle as easy as my X1 Omni. As mentioned earlier I found the mopping to be solid/great as well. As again, it leaves a good amount of wetness down on the floor and scrubs well. The auto-lift function is nice as it works. But similar to the carpet cleaning, it isn’t perfect and won’t perform to the same level as you doing it manually. But again, don’t think that is reasonable. Also, found that keeping those pads always attached didn’t work well. As it would wet the pads first before vacuuming making my carpets wet. Making it a bit more cumbersome than I would like by having to remove the pads and then add them back on when doing mopping. I suppose I could also switch to “vacuum only” in the app and then when I want to mop turn on the “mop function”. The auto cleaning/drying of the mopping pads worked without any issues. It also would stop frequently while mopping to reup the water on the pads and clean them. I was not a fan of my X1 Omni mopping capability. But don’t have a problem with this one. The battery life is good. They report 170 minutes. I found this number to be accurate. I didn’t test it exactly. But found that it would go for two hours around my house and I still had a 20 – 30% of battery left. Overall noise level is good. I can still work or watch TV without much distraction while it is doing its thing in the same room. If it is in a different room I can barely hear it. Of course this depends a bit on what suction mode you have. With the standard mode it is not loud. Even at max suction it isn’t bad.
