I'm relatively new to the robot vacuum world, but I've learned a lot in a short time with trial by fire.
I started with a Bob, so maybe the bar was set very low to begin with, because Bob is a dumb robot vacuum. He was so random in his protocols and lacked the necessary sensors to operate like a smart RV. He would vacuum in paths that didn't connect or revist areas he'd already done 3 times and miss what you kept thinking he'd get! You couldn't tell him where to vacuum, where not to vacuum, nor which room to vacuum in. He coudn't even find his own charger in a timely manner! I'm still yelling at Bob in my head to this day (Over here Bob! No Bob! It's right there Bob, get it, no, no arghhhhh!!!)!
Deebot is exactly what you wanted out of Bob, but couldn't get. Clean lines, logical paths and consistency.
If you're looking for a smart and intelligent RV, make sure it has Lidar sensors! These are what give your RV the parameters of the room and the objects within it. So far DeeDee has outperformed my expectations, within it's limitations. It has a lidar sensor, cliff sensors and a camera, all of which work in concert to identify your room and everything in it, while avoiding most pitfalls. I can tell DeeDee where to go, where not to go and even to come clean a specific spot where I've made a mess. Best of all, she can MOP! None of which is perfect. She can only get 95% of the floor. For instance, my kitchen hardwood floors look great, BUT I still need to mop the edges and just under the appliances, because she can't get all the visible flooring below them nor all the way up to the edge of the baseboards. Still, the bulk of my carpet and hardwood floors are looking so much better, more often since we got her.
I guess I'm just overwhelmed by how much better she is than Bob. And I guess I fell for the trap Bob set for new robot vacuum buyers! Show a high retail price and a super low sale price, thereby leading you to believe Bob was a Super Bob, when it turns out Bob is a Super Dud!! There are other more familiar brands, but given that DEEBOT mops and vacuums all in one, while having Lidar, cliff sensors, a camera and a solid app, it's hard to want to go with anything else. Roomba is one such household name, but their tech is dated comparably (no lidar sensors). I'm sure they'll come around, but nothing they have currently is this advanced. LG and Samsung are over priced and Shark is much like Roomba, in which they mimic what a machine with Lidar can do, but slower and less efficient, per the youtube vids I've watched. The 360 brand seems to be a copycat and pretty good from what I've seen in reviews, but they are so new, they don't even have strong customer service presence yet, so hard to want to go with them.
CONS: Dustbin is a little small, but easy to empty and maintain. It doesn't get all the way to the edges, tho I'm sure this is the case with all of the RV's. The app could be a little more use friendly, tho it works pretty well when you get used to it.
TLDR: Buy this one over the others. The tech is the latest greatest, it works well and consistently, and I don't have to scream at it (Bob is somewhere chasing his tail - no Bob over heeeerrrrrre!!!). It being an all-in-one vac/ mop is a complete bonus.

I've had the Deebot T8 AIVI for almost a full year and we use it pretty regularly in our household. I'll start by saying that I am mostly satisfied with my Deebot T8 AIVI, however I give it 3 stars because it delivers less than promised and falls short on several points.
tl;dr - the 'AI' is a joke, the mapping almost makes it amazing, but bugs in the software ultimately make even this great feature a constant frustration.
AI Object Recognition - This is an area where the T8 AIVI disapoints. Prior to this we had a fairly basic Neato Botvac D80. The D80 was generally better than the T8 AIVI at avoiding obstacles. The T8 AIVI maybe knows how to avoid a pair of keys left on the ground (not a problem in my household), but it will run into your legs or your cat full speed and regularly pushes around the 2inch tall water bowl for our cat. Not only this, but it still gets stuck on the same furniture that our previous botvac struggled with. Since this is partially a software feature, perhaps they will improve it, but currently this is just a gimmicky feature with no real value.
Mapping - The T8 AIVI does an impressive job mapping your house and dividing them up into regions. That paired with the ability to do specific area cleaning and integrations with smart home speakers brings you as close to the Jetsons as you've ever been. It feels great to tell Alexa to clean your kitchen and then watch as the T8 AIVI goes and cleans up just the area requested... when it works.
The problem is that this map changes on almost every run. One day everything is great, the next all your room labels are gone. The following day the rooms themselves have been merged into new zones so you can't even just clean the kitchen. You can go into their app and set these up again, but that gets annoying if you have to do it every time. On top of that there are several bugs that sometime prevent you from being able to get your map set up how you had it before. Worst of all, the T8 AIVI is very sensitive to being moved and any manual movement (say it gets stuck in a corner) will cause it to lose the entire map. When the map is lost you have no choice to but do an entire cleaning over again.
In the end this is still an effective botvac and we use it almost daily.
I have not used the regular T8, but if you're considering the T8 AIVI, perhaps go with that instead and save yourself a few hundred dollars.

This would be my fourth robot vacuum in about 15 years. My first 3 were iRobot. I grew tired of how stupid my iRobot was, bumping into everything for seemingly hours and getting stuck constantly. To be fair, these were not high end ones to begin with. The latest i9 might be great…I can’t say from personal experience.
I paid $600 for this one…twice of the others. But man. This one is next level. It’s fast, and cleans intelligently. The app is buggy and doesn’t like to refresh on its own. Constantly have to close and reopen app. The mapping function is great. Make sure you get one good mapping of your house with crap off the floors. If it gets stuck, the map isn’t saved and you have to do it all over again.
I still hesitate to recommend these for un tech savvy people. Too many bugs. Even in 2021. Worth the trouble for me with my 3 cats and a dog. I’ve worked in IT for 20+ years. Not to say I “know everything”…but I’m not a n00b either. Just so you know where my skills are in relation to using this product.

WOW! Both my husband and I were a little skeptical as to whether this would really do a good job cleaning, but so far so good. I love to cook and after dinner I was always having to take out the vacuum and clean the kitchen because of all the little crumbs and onion flakes that somehow always end up on the floor. With Dee I just sit on the couch and pick the kitchen and she just goes and does her job. That is great. Also last night I had her do the whole downstairs and didn't have to do anything. I like that you can have an upstairs and downstairs map. I did the upstairs over the weekend and was totally impressed on how much dust Dee was able to pick up. It was great that Dee was able to go under our bed as well. My husband who wasn't really sure we needed such a machine has now changed his mind and is even considering letting me get one that is just for the upstairs, so I don't have to carry it up and down. Now that is saying something. Even though I give Dee 5 stars the only non impressive thing is the mopping. It just drags behind the machine and it does clean but not as good a a real mop. However, I think they are coming out with a new mop attachment that has an agitator that will do a better job. I will definitely be getting that because I think with that new attachment it will be fantastic. Over all I am super pleased with our purchase.

I love this thing and almost everything about it.
It does a phenomenal job sweeping up all the dust and cat hair that accumulates during the course of the day. I usually have it on patrol, so it will randomly go around and do what it needs to do.
Just need to remember to empty it, as I haven't purchased the auto empty station.
My only hate of this thing, is that my toddler got his hands on it, just once, and slapped it. Ever since then, the positioning laser has been a little weird, and I need to tap the top of it, to get it to start working. Once it is going, it has no problems, and it is not every time.
Creates very detailed maps of your home, and is able to get in to almost every single little corner and crevice in and around your furniture. You can have it set to have multi floor maps, so you don't need to relearn constantly, when you bring it upstairs or downstairs.
I love the remote control in the app for it (when it works), that allows me to drive it around when I am not home, so I can check up on things. Freaks my cats out, too. They seem to be scared of the spinning brushes on the side.
The app gives you an estimated life on the various brushes in the vacuum, which is nice. It comes with a second set of side brushes, as well.
There are some accessories you can purchase for this, as well, such as the previously mentioned emptying station, and a more vigorous mopping plate.
The standard mopping plate just drags a wet cloth over your floor, so don't expect it to get any spills that have dried, well.

I did initially have a sort of sticker shock at the price but it has been so worth it for me after using it.
I live in an area where red dirt & debris comes in constantly making the floors hard to maintain.
Only had this a few weeks but it has been a life saver for me. The mapping has been great to avoid cords/areas I don't want it to go. Being able to track it's cleaning pattern & set it up from the app is so helpful. Just run it a few times a day has saved me from mass amounts of dog hair & dirt brought in by a busy household.
Both the mop & sweep functions work well. Only thing the instructions mention is the water tank on can make it hard to get on some taller rugs. We havent had too big on an issue with that though.

I am so excited that I was able to buy this. It is by far the best invest I made as far as helping me keep my floors clean. I currently have two dogs that shed like crazy. I couldn’t go more then 2 days without pulling out the vacuum and doing a quick “hair touch up” on my floors. I went out and bought a cheaper Deebot cause I didn't do much research on RoboVacuums and man, do I wish I would have just bought this. It has yet to get stuck and does an amazing job mapping and moving around my house. The only complaint is I wish it had a bigger dust bin but I will be buying the auto empty bin to help with me having to empty the tray out after each use.

So far so good. Set-up was easy for me and the unit mapped my house on the first run. Obstacle avoidance and run-time are awesome on this unit. Plus, I get over 2 hours of run-time per cleaning and it has incredible suction. I have 3 dogs and a cat that constantly shed and the Ozmo keeps my home debris/hair-free. I always purchase my electronics from BestBuy due to their awesome extended warranty program with hassle-free returns should anything go wrong....it's 4 years of worry-free ownership! I would recommend this product and I would recommend purchase via BestBuy with the extended warranty.

I have only used Neato products before the T8. I was all set to move over to a Roomba vacuum until I read a review on the T8 and I could not be happier. The navigation is fantastic it vacuums even better. The mop is not a full blown cleaning but it does a good job and it does a better job than all the other robot vacuums that do not have the mopping ability, I would highly recommend.

Cannot get over wooden floor lip to carpet of 1/2 inch raise. Always get stuck when levels of flooring change. Always get stuck in thick carpeting. Always get stuck when water is full in carrier and needs to go over carpet lip to get to mopping wooden floor, so this does not have as much “four wheel drive” nor robustness as I thought it would…like the Roombas. However, the mop (when working) is brilliant. The camera and “drone” like capacity is absolutely the best.

I bought this flagship robot vac based on reviews from testing. Set up was fairly simple but I am still unable to pair it to my Google home app - which isn't a big deal for me since it has a scheduling feature.
The first few days, the mapping was flawless. After about a week, it started creating rooms in my house that didn't exist, couldn't find its dock and kept missing rooms it was supposed to go to. I've deleted and recreated the map several times but it still keeps being less smart than it's supposed to be.
It vacuums quite well and avoids things like shoes and pet toys which is a nice feature. The report it sends you is somewhat useful but only when the map is accurate. I vacuumed with my regular vacuum after it cleaned and there was far less dirt/dust in my vacuum bin than usual, which means it is doing its job.
The mopping feature is ok. It definitely doesn't take the place of manually mopping. It's more like a swiffer wet jet than an actual mop but it's good to have for the in between cleanings.
The map also doesn't completely allow you to split open concept areas very well. That was one of the selling points for me so I'm not happy with that feature not working.
There have been a couple times that it told me to clean the dustbin and filter even though it was already cleaned and not even close to full.
All in all I'm pretty disappointed for the price I paid. For what they're charging, there shouldn't be mapping issues. I'm seriously considering returning it and getting a different one.

Bought this product hoping to help ease the burden of household chores. It does an amazing job with that. The only CON is that it is expensive. But you pay for what you get. The T8’s ability to scan and navigate through dog toys is really cool. It’s scans the room and switches between carpet and tile really well. I was very happy with the purchase. Then weird hiccups start happening. The vacuum would clean only half the area and return to the station stating the job had been done. Opened a ticket with support and they told me to reset and map the room again. 3 cleanings later, The map gets twisted and it copies a second map on top of it. The T8 got lost and had to be picked up and put back on the charging station. Called support and was told to do Reset and move the base station. Every time you reset you have to do a full clean before it allows you to draw virtual boundaries A few cleaning layers same thing happens. It cleans half the house and says it’s done. Called support and same thing delete map and reset the robot. After a few more calls I was told the situation will be escalated. The robot vacuum is at a premium price and resetting it all the time, was extremely frustrating. Packed it up and returned it. I had high hopes but it came crashing down .

The good - It works. For a while. We bought this in February 2021. It has cleaned our home several times a week accurately for many months. It does a good job, maps great, sticks to a schedule, finds its way to the charger etc. All what you expect from an 800 dollar robot..BUT it died today. One of the motor wheels just stopped turning. Nothing clogging it, (we dont have pets) or obsructing motion. I would hope the engineers designed this for more that just a warranty period of flawless operations but these days I am sceptical. We are sending it back (TO NEW YORK) for repairs (FOR SEVERAL WEEKS) as it is under warranty, and I am requesting a new device. We will see what happens. Like all things robotic, the engineers need to over build these things so they actually last and I am afraid that they just do not (dishwashers, fridge, washing machines of the past all build to last vs today) We paid A BUNCH of money for this and simply don't want to shell this out every year. A life span of 4 to 5 years to me should be the benchmark for something like this and acceptable to me. Under one year, NO way.

So far so good. I named my ecovacs "Meryl Sweep" and she's been a delight. The app was a little confusing at first, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. It's easy to use, and you can adjust your settings at any point. The no sweep/mop zones are really useful for working around the mess of cables I have under my entertainment center.
The mopping aspect is not what you'd think. It's not a deep clean nor is it intended to be. Important to research this before buying so that you're not disappointed. Overall it does do a fantastic job of keeping the house clean. The self learning AI really does do a good job...BUT! you have to let it run through the house a few times. I ran it every day for a week and now it's good to go for just about any obstacle.
Setting up the actual robovac couldn't be easier. The instructions are easy to read and follow. The patrol mode is pretty cool too. I use it mainly to make sure my pup doesn't get into the trash.

Overall, I would recommend this robot. However, keep in mind that you will run into many app issues, and you will have to spend a hour every once in a while to fix whatever errors that may come up. Shifting maps and room boundaries, automatically merging rooms (and therefore invalidating up scheduled cleaning), and random app crashes. The robot itself also does not detect objects using AI as advertised, and it continues to run over things and get stuck. Their AI avoidance is alright, but does not work as much as I'd like it to. They need to work on their object catalog, as it still runs over wires and gets stuck.
Suction: Fantastic, picks up dust and dirt very well
Mopping: Okay feature, don't use it too much.
App: Terrible experience, buggy and needs work
Build Quality: Very sturdy and easy to clean/maintain
AI Avoidance: Needs work
Support: A+ with live chat and email options
