Nice guys came on two occasions but we’re unable to install the cooktop with down draft. Bought the unit at the outlet and some pieces were missing, but the installers were unable to connect the downdraught to the vent. Will need to hire another vendor to finish the job. Have the second star because they are nice guys but unable to complete the job

Years ago I had a bad experience at Best Buy, but I recently tried them again because of their installation services and had a great experience. I contacted service and my issue was immediately taken care of. The installers were excellent, too. Best Buy must have worked hard to do better and it shows. I will use them again.

Installation was incomplete. Crew was unprepared. Was not sealed to countertop and lies loosely. Not prepared with fittings to connect to existing downdraft exhaust. Had to finagle connection using HomeDepot parts. This is not installation. Also, the cooktop was not wired into the 240VAC source. Rather, the wires were twisted together and covered with electrical tape. This is not safe and is not code. Clearly, installation crew is not licensed. Not professional. “Pickup crew” was expecting a dishwasher despite order for electric cooktop. Very badly coordinated.

The installer was professional and courteous. He was the best installer I have ever had on anything that I’ve ever had to have installed in my house. He was not an employee of Best Buy but contractor I didn’t get his name, but he was well worth it. When they brought the first cooktop, it was defective, and they had to order a second one. I was glad when he was the installer on the second one as well.

somewhat labor intensive to install for a novice, had to hardwire the plug by following the old plug. heating elements all work well. Fan noisy but very effective.

It’s a learning process cooking on new cooktop—quite different from my aging unit. Also cleaning the ceramic top is definitely a new experience

I ordered a 30 inch JennAir cooktop from the Best Buy website on August 3, 2025. I also ordered the delivery and installation of the cooktop as well as the disposal of our old cooktop. It is August 25, and I am still having issues after having spent $300 for no reason. I have also so far set aside 3 full days because Best Buy only gives a 7am until 7pm timeline until the day of service. Here is the timeline: August 3 - ordered cooktop, installation and disposal of existing 30 inch JennAir cooktop. August 11 - the Best Buy installers bring new cooktop. The installers measure the existing and new cooktops and inform me that the existing hole in my quartz countertop is too small, and I need to first have someone cut a larger hole. I question the installers because the new JennAir 30 inch cooktop is just replacing an existing JennAir 30 inch cooktop. The installers inform me that they know what they are doing. The installers leave the new cooktop. I find a company to enlarge the hole in the quartz countertop. I am required to prepay $300 before the company would come. I call Best Buy to make a 2nd installation appointment, this one for a date after the quartz cutters are scheduled to come. August 18 - The cutters come, measure the existing hole and the new cooktop and inform me that a larger hole is not necessary. To prove their point, they remove the existing cooktop and place the top of the new cooktop in the existing hole. It fits perfectly. August 20 - Best Buy installers install the new cooktop, but the blower outlet is installed so it is pointed away from the existing ductwork and the outlet is approximately 5 inches from the side of the island cabinet. I tell the installers the outlet needs to point down towards the existing ductwork. I am told it cannot be done that way. The installers also inform me for the first time that they cannot hook up the blower outlet to the existing ductwork and that I would need to find a HVAC specialist to do that. After they leave, I review the JennAir installation instructions and see that the instructions specifically state to "rotate blower outlet to where it matches the ductwork". I call Best Buy to make a 3rd installation appointment. August 25 - the Best Buy installers ( the same ones who originally told me I needed to enlarge the hole in the quartz countertop) rotate the blower outlet so that it matches the ductwork and also attach the outlet to the ductwork. However, they inform me that the access panel to the plenum is missing and that a new one will need to be ordered in order for the blower to work properly. I now have to make a 4th installation appointment and set aside another full day. I am beyond frustrated. I paid $279.99 to Best Buy for the installation and soon will have spent 4 days sitting at home for this nightmare installation. I should have had someone else perform the installation.

I ordered it online and got Best Buy total tech to install it. The cooktop worked well and easy to clean compared to my old coil cooktop. The exhaust fan was much quieter than my old one.

Great product, but first one was defective (one burner out of 5 didn't work) so needed to replaced. New replacement burners work fine, but now down draft doesn't work, so that needs to be fixed as well.

Install was excellent. Delivery was awful. Cooktop is great. If it had not been for the delivery this would have been a 5 star

Professional, experienced, did what they were supposed to do in a polite manner

I did not purhase the cooktop from Best Buy. But; Best Buy came out to install. The Technican that installed my new Cook Top was so very polte and knowledgeable. He explained important information as he was installing, asked me questions and very concern with how and if I was pleased with his work. He told me his quote " if you do it right in the beginning you won't have to come back". He was a great great person! I like him.

When they measured the cook top opening quality kitchens measured wrong! Luckily the ge came in defective. I also is too small for the opening. Replaced with kitchenaid.

Even though I had to wait longer than originally planned, it was Worth the wait, especially the great installation guys.

The guys were quick ,clean, and gave me tip to fix the gap left behind from the old down draft system. They took all the old stuff to dispose of it!

A highly competent technician installed the downdraft hood, and then a 2nd highly competent technician installed the induction cooktop. What a relief!
