I was super excited about this printer on paper (pun intended), but in actuality, it's crap. Every time I go to use it via wifi, which was the main feature we wanted, it won't print. The print queue will sit on "looking for printer" for at least 5 minutes every time, and then sometimes it'll just randomly find it and print - and it make take as long as 10 minutes. I've tried getting Epson to help, but when you call, they have to send to you a specialist for Macs, there's no direct way to call and talk to someone who knows what they're doing with Apple devices, which boggles my mind in this day and age. And even with their help, the problem persists. I've tried uninstalled and reinstalling this thing numerous times (which is also what Epson's help has you do), and it'll work right after you install it, but that it. I don't get it.

So far, so good! Have not had the time to give it a 5. After more use, I will be able to give a more complete review.

I have been printing my photos for over 15 years and finally couldn't purchase my same printer. I gave this one a try and wasn't impressed. The color quality just wasn't great. It was returned.

Had it for less than a month. Was not happy it came defective. Never got to try it out. Spent a long time looking for a printer I might like. Was not happy I could not get it replaced with the exact same one either. Really need a printer and this looked like a nice one.

No matter what I printed text or photo, there was always what appeared to be a roller track down the length of the paper. I have never had a problem with Epson before this one. I bought a different model, and this Epson works just fine.

I love this photo printer! It's very easy to set up, only took me about 7 minutes, and the photos that it produces look like they came out of a high gloss magazine. It comes with 6 colors, you can print, you can scan anything and save it to the cloud. Me and my husband are professional photografers, i think I spelt that word incorrectly, and, we do have a black room but I like the way this printer works. It is also very small for a printer, and that's a great quality. It looks to be about 15 inches long and 6 inches in width, and it has hands free, voice activated printing. Out of the Box and setup: The printer is packaged well, and everything was clearly labeled. The quick start instructions are very easy to follow, and there are no extra parts to put together or install. I was very impressed with how easy it was to setup. Installation: This was a moment of truth for me. I've had printers in the past that were very difficult to install and get print ready. This was not the case at all. The touch screen on the printer is a good size to be able to navigate the menus and setup the WiFi printing. The menus were easy to read, along with the quick start guide. The whole installation process took me about 10 minutes, a majority of that being software updates that would be normal for any printer. VERY happy with the installation process. After the updates, I could print right away! Print Quality: I'm quite happy with the print quality of the printer sofar. text pages are printed quickly, and I haven't notice any smudging or bleeding of ink. I really enjoy the dual trays to hold letter sized paper as well as photo paper sizes. Having to use a top feed tray with past printers would require me to confirm the paper size, and would need me to be physically at the printer to navigate on screen prompts. I'm happy that I can print and not be standing right next to the printer in order for printing multiple items. Overall I'm very happy with this printer. I haven't been able to see how the ink usage goes, but i'm hopeful the cartridge usage will be reasonable. I'd definitely recommend this printer! This was my first time trying and using an Epson printer and I have to say, I was really impressed. The printer itself was easy to set up and easy to use even for people like me who are not very tech savvy. It has a lot of great features one being the voice activation that I love. I also love that you can print from any smart device and has virtual assistant on it as well. This printer also has multiply uses and prints and scans really well. The photo pictures are printed so clear and I would much rather print them off the Epson then at the store. They look so much better. It also makes it easier to print cards, stationary, etc. It is also a copier as well. This printer makes life easier when it comes to printing, scanning, and coping and I highly recommend it. Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Wireless All in one Inkjet Printer is awesome. This printer produces the best quality prints that i have seen, you can even do borderless prints is a variety of sizes. It holds a lot of paper, envelopes and photo stock. It connects and sets up easy. Its a great printer that produces high quality. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I am currently building a dollhouse and I needed flooring and wallpaper for it. I printed off some wood flooring on another printer and it looked very dull and did not show the woodgrain. When I received the XP-8600, I reprinted the same flooring on photo paper, it was amazing. It actually looked like real wood. I am looking forward to printing my wallpaper. One of the best things about this printer is that it has 5 color ink cartridges instead of just 3 like regular printers have. The difference those 2 ink cartridges make is the difference between night and day. I went through all my pictures I had printed on my old printer and reprinted them on the XP-8600 using premium photo paper and now they look like professional photo studio prints. I love it and will be using from here on out. Anybody want my old one?

Let me say this photo printer is wonderful. I myself am not inclined when it comes to computers. So I was elated that I could set this up without the help of my family. I set this up the ink cartridges were easy to install. Putting the paper it was not tricky but you do need to pay attention to loading the cartridges putting the correct paper in the correct bin. The printing of my photos OMG it is amazing! The colors are so sharped and they look great! The different sizes of photos that I created are awesome. It is also remote you download the app onto your phone and voila! you are printing from your phone. It is also included for wi-fi you can print anywhere as long as you are set up to wifi. This printer again is awesome. I love the Epson Photo XP-8600 it has so many options you can use this for, this printer. The setup took about 10 minutes, then after that it took about another 10 minutes for the firmware to be updated. After that it will ask you if you want to make sure everything aligns well. I love how the color and how clear the photos come out as its Crystal Clear quality. Printer regular documents were a breeze. I have been searching for a printer that can be used for both personal and work from home business use. Sure, there are plenty of printers on the market to choose from that have all these fancy accessories and abilities, but I really was not looking for anything fancy or too high tech either. Well, I stumbled upon the Epson Expression Photo 8600. This printer. WOW! It is amazing. So out of the box it was remarkably simple to get out and put together, but it was also very well packed, and I felt that my printer did not suffer any damages during its journey to me. The cord, manual and CD are located within the Styrofoam packing so do not overlook them. The printer itself was securely closed with blue packing tape so as not to open and close and jostle around during shipment. It was simple to remove and did not leave any type of residue. Setup was simple, and was fairly plug and play, I did not personally need to use the setup CD but do appreciate that it is included. Now for the good stuff. Using the printer. As stated above, setup was simple, I would say from the time I opened the box to the first print was maybe a half hour, give or take five or ten minutes. The printer itself has a very sleek and compact design, it is an unbelievably beautiful and glossy black. The LCD informational screen is large and quite easy to read. The touchscreen on the LCD screen is very responsive and I have had no issues with my fat fingers accidentally clicking the wrong button. The photo trays are plenty big enough and provide enough space for a lot of paper, I do not know exactly how much because I did not count, but I did print a 73-page document without having to refill the tray. The colors are nice and vivid and do not run, lines are clear and concise. I have also printed a few photos and they are beautiful! They are the same quality as you would expect from an in-store printing service. The colors are bright and vivid, there are no blurry or colored lines in the photo, and the ink dries quickly and without issue.

I've needed a printer for years and haven't broke down and bought one, until now! Im so jazzed about this printer because you can connect it to any network and a device you want to print something from and connect it to the same network and you can print virtually anything! Photos especially came out professional and beautiful. Im amazed with Epson! This photo printer is the best! Instead of having to go to town to get photos I can do it in the luxury of my own home which is wonderful! It prints photos very nicely and clearly. It prints fast also so you aren’t having to wait forever for them. The photos look very professional. I am amazed and happy about receiving my photo printer and can’t wait to be able to print more photos in the near future. This thing was a breeze to set up it took no time at all. I love the step by step videos it shows on the front screen. It makes everything a lot easier. The Epson XP-8600 is simple to set up. Total time from unboxing to printing was under 10 minutes. It is small enough that it doesn't take up too much space on my desk. Most of my printing is pages that contain color photos on them for advertising. The photos are clear and I'm also able to print additional 4x6 photos to attach to my advertisements. For my business I also needed to make copies in black and white along with color copies. They were scanned in much faster than my old all in one and the quality is superior.
