the resolution is ridiculous...awesome picture... my recommendation if you're not going to buy a screen for a projector and just have the image on your wall... make sure your paint on the wall isn't semi-gloss or high gloss...it'll look like glitter on the image...use a flat or an eggshell

I think I can claim myself as BEST in Judging at least Projectors. I did lot-lot lot tons of lots research on Projector on various brands. I do not want to compare this to anyone else because Epson itself clearly mentioned about it in specs. This is good for Presentations for sure. But if you are looking for a nice projector for movies, then I would not suggest this one, instead, go for some other little higher ends if you are ok to pay little more like 550-600 range. This projector throws up lot of white light i have comparison videos of different projectors, this projector also there in the list. Honestly go for this one only if you are thinking of medium budget, do not spend more than 500 on this. it must be less than <=450. Pros : 1. Nice Solid good looking body. 2. Nice shutter door. 3. Nice picture quality considering the amount what we spent. 4. Audio is OK. Cons: 1.Power cable which connects to the device is not stiff enough, if someone touches little hard it shuts down the power, and again to come back normal projection it takes little time.

I would have loved to keep this projector but didn't realize it was 16:10 resoltution and my screen is 16:9. Besides this fault (which was MY fault), it was a good projector for the price. Plenty bright, clear picture, no motion blur when playing games..

This projector is easy to work, the picture is awesome. This item is great for inside or outside. It is great for movie night with family or friends. It makes the party.

The movies, tv and computer I have it connected to look great and it was worth the money. I got this projector to replace an older Epson projector that I have had for years and still works great but for the size of the wall I was using this on I wanted to jump to 1080 and love it. The only complaint I have is it can be a little noisy if not in eco mode with it only being mounted about 4 feet above the couches.

My hubby decided we needed a theater room and we created a makeshift. Purchased this projector after some research and deal searching. It has been a great projector! Easy to use and the lamp stills is going strong.

We use this projector to show movies at a shopping mall. The movie is clear and works easily with other devices. Would recommend this item!

Easy to set up and use. Good picture quality. My only complaint is there is no audio output. I bought this to use a a portable projector for outdoor movie nights. The built in speaker is useless even indoors. I had to buy an adapter to extract the audio from the HDMI input because the newer bluray players dont have an Audio out either.

I pair this unit with the Sony 6700 BluRay player, which has bluetooth capability, to create a portable home theater against a large white textured wall. Image quality is superb, and very bright. Fan is somewhat noisy, but this is minimal. DVDs, online streaming, all are enhanced by this projector. I use a Bose Revolve speaker to complete the package. It gives a better result than a fixed flat screen TV for about the same total package price at the larger sizes. And it can be rolled away when not needed!

I bought this projector to be able to host movies/and fights outside. I paired this with a portable projector screen, 120 inches. It is bright and clear enough to watch even when there is still some sun in the evening. Speakers are ok but for the best sound, use some external speaker systems. I have no negative comments and I am sure I still need to read on some other special features. I simply just use the hdmi to my laptop to project whatever entertainment I want.

I use this for my outdoor movie screen, it works great. The picture quality is fantastic, long lamp life, fan noise is quiet and it has a quick shutdown so I can pack it away right after the movie.

I bought this to replace a 6 year old Optima HD20. The projector is much brighter and easier to fit the screen using corner grabs. Unfortunately it is loud and puts out a lot of heat.

With a house full of 4K / Ultra 4K TV's I was very hesitant to step back to 1080P for a replacement projector in my den. The picture and especially the brightness is very impressive, especially being in a bright room. This is a outstanding bang for the buck and I would highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about buying it. I also purchased a 2 year warranty that DOES INCLUDE THE BULB for $ 99.00 so worry free for 2 years...

Enjoying the quality of this projector. Didn’t expect it to have a great sound with the size of this unit but using other equipment like a receiver helped enhance the sound.

So far this projector is working perfectly for my outdoor projection. Sharp colors with just a little lag but that could be do to streaming. Good bargain for the price.

This is being used in a sports bar in a large room with large screen. After much research decided to go with this unit rather than s commercial model at 5 times the cost. Couldnt be happier. Excellent picture. Lighting and color are very good hooked up to Direct TV. Remote makes adjusting ceiling mounted projector a snap. Even if bulb has to be changed more often than a commercial unit the value can't be beat

Just replaced an older (7 years old or so) projector with the Epson 1040 and the quality of the picture, color, and brightness far exceeded my expectation. We can have the windows open during the day and lights on at night and the brightness of it is great. If you are looking for an affordable projector this is it.

Upgraded to this projector and this is where I should have started to begin with. This is the right price for 1080p. Anything less than this will disappoint.

Really nice clarity in the dark -- The only drawback is it doesnt have audio output... i had to buy December to split audio and video. Every thing else is great.. i had it projected in my bedroom and it works great... got a nice walmount and was able to install on the wall -- works very nice with chromecast.
