Possibly my fault because I’m not the most tech savvy person however I had this same problem with my older epson printer. Wish it were easier to setup but price was right.

Burns through Ink like you've never seen

Posted .Hello martialalex, thank you for your feedback on the XP-340. Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged, preventing air bubbles from entering and damaging the print head. Additionally, your Expression Home printer includes free lifetime technical support, and we can help customize your print settings for more efficient ink consumption.
