Solid Printer with One Minor Flaw

This is a replacement for the same model I previously purchased, which I replaced under warranty. The printer performs excellently with sharp, consistent print jobs. I highly recommend investing in the XL cartridges over the standard ones—you’ll save money and ink in the long run. The only downside, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is that the rollers occasionally struggle to feed thicker paper, even when using the thick paper setting. There’s also no rear paper feed option, which would help with cardstock and heavier media. This can be a bit limiting depending on the types of projects you're working on.

    Connectivity Problem with Scanner

Print, scan and copy functions are fine. Our issue is one of connectivity between the printer/scanner and our two home laptops. All devices are connected through home wifi. All drivers are downloaded, installed and up to date. I can iniate a scan from both computers, but I can only scan and send to one of the computers from the copier/scanner home screen. I realize this is a first world problem, of sorts, but it is annoying not being able to perform a "one touch" scan while standing at the copier/scanner.

It works well enough, prints fine and over all ease of use is in general is straight forward, finding super specific settings is as easy as googling them but my main concern is it inability to connect to wireless, once its connected its fine but if for some reason you disconnect its miserable trying to get it workong again, constantly give you the wrong password excuse.

    Gets the job done

Great little color printer. Only can, it doesn't have a manual paper feeder to print a single page for different size paper. You have to constantly take the paper tray out to change paper size, so this gets pretty annoying when you go back and forth with different paper sizes.

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3820 was simple to set up, and I’ve printed several different items both color and black and white. The copies were crisp and exactly what I expected. Can’t beat the $99.99 price. Great printer!

The print speed and quality are both quite nice. The size is reasonable and the noise level is comparable to any other printer. The only issue I have with it is that connecting it to WiFi can be a struggle. Once it’s connected it works well but when I changed WiFi providers I was unable to get it to connect to my new WiFi and ended up giving up and connecting it to the router with a cable.

Great printer scanner. My 10 year old Epson died and this was replacement. Extremely easy for the very non tech person to setup. I did take an extra day to connect the scanner to the laptop but i was successful.

Surprisingly high quality for a bargain price. We’ve had an HP PhotoSmart printer for about 8 years that’s been unreliable for several years. We plugged this one in and after setting it up to print from anywhere, installed the Epson Smart Panel app, and off to the races! High quality, low stress! Great value!

Our new Epson printer arrived quickly and was easy to set up. Unfortunately, the next day we had a blank printer screen. I called Epson and they determined that it was a hardware failure and sent out another printer. I wasn't even able to set the new one up because that screen was also blank. Epson again sent out another one and third one was the charm. We believe that the extremely cold temperatures had damaged the LCD screens during shipment. Epson had good customer service and addressed the problem right away. We like this new printer (old Epson lasted for 10 years!). Nice crisp printing. My only problem with this printer is that the paper tray does not have a stop for the paper and you have to make sure that the paper is stacked behind the line or it doesn't feed right. It was the same on the old printer and they have not corrected this design flaw. All in all, a very good product for the money!

Printing with four (4) individual color cartridges (one is black) gives me good control regarding supply costs. I always like to have a fresh supply, especially when the printer is new. I print a lot of proof drawings and other work documents a home. Having the wireless option means anyone on my network can print to the Epson WF-3820. Sure it can still use a network cable or the USB port, but for printing today, wireless is the way to go. I've had great luck with Epson remote printing. This way I can print while away from home and my printouts are waiting for me when I get home. Scanning with the 35-page document feeder is a must for me. With my OCR and file apps, I scan and file invoices, receipts and documents for later retrieval and long term storage. Features I like: * The ink cartridges are easy to install and monitored by software. * easy to clear jams with rear removable paper path. * Paper tray hold up to 14" x 8-1/2" sheets. * Ink prices comparable to other office printers. * two (2) sided printing from the print page screen * fairly quiet printing * prints right from my cellphone

Easy to set up and it prints great. I like the fact that I can scan and insert documents on top instead of having to lift the lid every time. This is definitely a benefit. It also fits perfect in my home office. I had to replace my old Epson Printer and this is even better.
