I compared many vacuums considering suction, assecories, pet brush, ease to clean out debris, and this was the best. Another good point is that the hose is larger then most, this should help minimize the chance of debris plugging the hise. I had a problem with my last vacuum plugging the hose.

This worked as advertised, but my new thick carpet did not like it. There was too much suction to push the vacuum. So it depends on what you are looking for. If you need suction then this is the one for you!!

What caught my eye is the statement on the packaging of the vacuum that declares it works better than a couple Dyson models. I have used Dyson vacuums before and doubted the statement at first but this really is an excellent quality vacuum. Great quality of performance with a friendly price tag.

Awesome vacuum! Quiet. Makes pet hair, dust, and dirt disappear like magic. I love this vacuum. We blew up two Hoovers prior to this machine because they couldn't hack it with pet hair. If you have pets, this vacuum is for you!

I have two cats and this vacuum cleaner works very well. The brush on/off option is the best, cable does not get stuck when pulled in, suction power is also very strong and good.

I really like my new vacuum. As a pet-owner, I"m always battling animal hair. This light-weight vacuum is very powerful and picks up everything in it's path. Easy to clear the dirt and hair. The hand tools are equally powerful and easy to use. The only down-side, which doesn't affect performance, is the cord-retraction. It doesn't always go in at the first try and often you have to pull it back out and try again. The handle doesn't always stay fixed on either. The motor and capability is great - Eureka just needs to refine some of the convenience options.

This is the second bagless vacuum cleaner I've bought over the last ten years. It's great not having to use bags, but it can be quite messy when emptying the plastic dust bin, as the dust and dirt can get all over your hands and arms if you aren't careful. The good thing is that all the inner parts can be disassembled and cleaned ( the first time I didn't pay enough attention to how everything came apart, so I had a job getting it back together). Depending on where you live (I live in a very sandy area), it will need to be taken apart about every other time it's used. I love the lever that lets you switch from floors to tools, just remember to switch it back after using the tools, or the brush roller won't turn when you start vacuuming again. The retractable cord is a life saver, because no one ever took the time with our old vacuum to wind up the cord. I'm very satisfied with everything about it and that's why I gave it an EXCELLENT overall rating.

This is a great vacuum for the price. Couldn't see spending hundreds of dollars when this one does the job. I have cats and lots of people running in and out and it keeps up with everything.

This is the third vacuum I've used to vacuum our gym. We have rubber floors and they need to be cleaned often, especially with foot traffic from the outside. This vacuum has a feature that makes it work better on the bare floor than anything I've tried so far. It was a little difficult to get the hose and accessory holder to snap into place properly and the furniture cleaning accessory is supposed to mount on the vacuum with a magnet and hook, but it won't stay on, so it just sits on a shelf now. Overall a great vacuum - just wondering why they skimped on the accessory mounting. Oh, and I love the retracting cord, I will never buy another vacuum without one.

Nice vacuum that does the job. My wife and I both use it. She finds it harder to push than our previous similarly equipped vacuum and wishes the hose was longer so using the tools was easier. She doesn't like dragging the vacuum when using the tools. We both think the cord is long enough but the recoil to not quite strong enough to retract the cord in full. It leaves about 3ft out. I'm not a big extended warranty buyer, but I have bought their plan a vacuums. With 3 cats and a dog, we're hard on vacuums and this is the 3rd replacement after 2 years each on the previous two units so getting a new vacuum for $24.95 (the extended warranty price) is a pretty good deal.

Amazing buy. Extremely happy with this purchase. First vacuum I've owned with such amazing power. Highly recommended...it's great for any kind of carpet, especially thick carpet, the tools are also valuable in getting into places. I love the upholstery connection as well!

This is a keeper. It picks up so much. I was absolutely dumb founded how much came up after the first use. I vacuum all the time and would of never guessed that much dirt was left behind by my previous one

My husband loves this vacuum. He says that our carpet has never been this clean. It picks up everything! We have two Yorkies and the pet hair get's everywhere. But the Eureka gets rid of all the pet hair.

Only have 3 bedrooms with carpet, the rest is hardwood so I didn't want to spend a lot. They say it compares to Dyson but a lot cheaper. They are RIGHT. Easy set up. No winding up the cord. Works great.

An excellent vaccuum, even for pet hair. Only downside is it is slightly heavy.

I have been happy with this machine. The long wind-up cord makes it easy to keep the cord out of the way. (You can wind it up when you get nearer to the outlet.) Good suction.

This is a good vacuum for the price. It's great for picking up cat hair and with the canister it's easy to tell when it is full. There are few attachments but they are practical. I would like for there to be a longer hose though as it does not stretch very far.

Best vacuum I've used in years. Wanted a Dyson without the high price and I am pleased with this Eureka model. Great price and great with a teenager, an eleven year old and 3 cats.

this vacuum is really nice, it picks up so much, easy to use and easy to clean out! my parents have the older model, they really improved it, the brush doesn't turn anymore in upright position, the filters are easier to clean, it's a really good value!

This vacuum works real great. I have not had 1 problem with it.
