This lens is tack sharp! I’m using it with the Sony A7iii and could not be happier. Focus is fast and on point especially when using auto eye focus. The focal range is perfect for my needs and other than maybe a prime for portraits, I don’t feel the need for anything else.

This lens is awesome for doing it all. It is F4 through the whole range where a prime or a GM with a shorter focal range will be much faster. These are the tradeoffs. I paired it when 3 an A7III and with the sensitivity it works good even in low light.

This is definitely a big lens! Much later than you would expect from the pictures in my opinion but it gives you great zoom capability and even has a manual focus ring for precise control.

Got it as a gift, so exited using, great pictures I recommend it!!!

This is a very sharp and all around perfect lens for the price.

For me, the 24-105 is the most versatile zoom for all purpose use. Image quality from this lens is excellent. The image stabilization works very well.

This lens has been a lifesaver! I was using it primarily on a A6500 but transitioned over to the A7Siii without any issue!

If u dislike changing lenses all the time, then this lens is for you, especially when you're on vacation. Works great with mt camera.

I'm not too sure what the previous reviewers were thinking. One complained about the price and also about the weight, when in fact this lens is among the lightest in its class. The other complained about this lens not stacking up to a specialty lens, well.... duh. Those reviews are head scratchers too me. This lens has turned into my go-to lens. The focal length range of 24mm to 105mm covers almost any situation I've been in, and will cover the needs of most amateur, enthusiast, and prosumer shooters out there too. Okay, yes I'm not getting the "Ultra Wide" shots, or the "Super Zoom" in shots, but for 90% of the day-to-day shooting I run into, this lens covers it gloriously. Also, given the range is in the "Sweet Spot" of photography, traveling with only one lens is a major plus. It gets a 5/5 for versatility. Being part of the Sony "G" (Gold) series lenses, you'd expect a high quality build, and sharp images and this lens does not disappoint. It has great sharpness thru the focal range and the auto focusing has impressed me. It gets a 5/5 for Image Quality. One reviewer, as previously mentioned, knocked this lens for being "Heavy". This lens is 1.46 pounds. Look at comparable lenses in its class.... Canon 24-105mm is 1.75 pounds, and Sigma 24-105mm is 1.95 pounds.... There is a reason why Sony has pushed this lens as a "Lightweight" lens. Honestly, for size and weight, the numbers don't lie. I give it a 5/5 for Size and Weight. This lens has an f/4 aperture throughout the focal range. Some people may take issue with this for reasons such as depth of field. Honestly, this starts coming down to preference of how you are going to use the lens. Rating this on personal preference is wrong and I won't do that. But I will say that Sony's recent cameras have such great ISO game that any slack here can be picked up by ISO. I review this lens keeping one critical thing in mind.... Performance vs Price. We are not reviewing a GM series lens. Yes, the GM series lenses are going to be better, but... at nearly twice the price. Value now comes into play. One of the reviewers knocked this lens for the price point. Instead of looking at the price, lets take a look at the "VALUE". The quality you are getting from the photos this lens takes can rival the higher end lens series. The quality is clearly superior to a lens from a cheaper price point. You ever hear "you get what you pay for"? It applies here too. You are paying for one heck of a lens and the "Value" return is worth it. You'll be happy, I know I am. For "Value I give this lens 5/5. I personally LOVE this lens. It's my Go-To lens. I can easily give this lens a Overall 5/5.

expected more from this lens. seems like they are also waiting for a good mirrorless camera to come along
